Learn what went into the design of all of the calligraphy in Mirage, and hear from Ubisoft Localization Manager Mohammed Alemam about how Mirage aims to authentically recreate ninth-century Baghdad.
Assassin's Creed Mirage, available October 5, 2023: ubi.li/5baqx
About Assassin's Creed Mirage:
In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you are Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice. After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization - The Hidden Ones. As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed - one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.

And accurately reconstructing cities is a big challenge to archeologists to this day. Baghdad was razed to the ground by the Mongols. So a lot of it also needs to come from creative liberty or buildings built in the same time period.

  • I have played Ezio games in Italian, Unity in French and the rest of the games in English. Voice acting in Italian is on a different level, much much better than any fake accent in the English version. French one is great as well. I speak Italian fluently and understand a good deal of French, however even if one does not speak the language, having the native one spoken and using subtitles for your own language is always the best choice. And Arabic is one of the most poetic languages on Earth, Farsi as well. If one wants to fully enjoy the game, play it in Arabic with subtitles.

Its use as court dress for civilian and military officials-but not religious, who wore the ṭaylasān instead-gave it great prestige. Wikipedia Black became the official color of the Abbasid people, who were acknowledged in China and Byzantium as the “black-robed ones.” High-ranking military officers were clothed in every kind of black. Instead of using dissimilar colors, the men were distinguished by the style of military belt and sword that they wore. abbasidstudies org @@astronotics531

    • Their heraldry was black, and some elites chose to wear black to represent it. But there was no uniformity among the Abassids when it came to what colour they wore, same with many other civilizations at the time. The guards in this game wear red for gameplay reasons, it's easier to distinguish them from other NPC's. A simple design choice which sacrifices a little bit of accuracy.

In relation to AC Mirage, you guys brought back the cutting of the finger to accommodate the hidden blade in a closed fist, but the character always uses his hidden blade with open hand avoiding the hidden blade, so why cut is finger off. Yous created a good game not great, feels more like a DLC or a history lesson on Baghdad, there is no excuse for you guys to miss small details especially when you guys bring it to our attention in trailers and talk shows 😂. It's literally the only reason for an assassin to cut his finger off and you guys missed that, how embarrassing 😂. You also should have put more time into creating more weapons for us to collect, the biggest collectible in the game is historical sites 😂, I like learning the history but I'd rather that be a smaller part of the game.

    • So it can not run on anything. You just wait and don't be any surprised if UE5 games are performance hogs.

  • The game is perfect, everything is perfect. And thand what ? Game of 20-25h of gameplay....we waited too much after Valhalla, we watched trailers and haiped... and then.. too much money for a short game like this, Valhalla was 60 euros for 100h+ of gameplay... As one of the biggest fan of Assassins in the world, happy and disapointed at the same time, maybe more disapointed...

  • Ubisoft is not there with Mirage, distant character camera, faded colours, facial graphics and old gen faces, the night which is not night but seems like day too brightly lit, UBISOFT I ORIGINATE THE NEXT AC FOR YOU TO MAKE IT DONE BY THOSE WHO CREATED UNITY AND ORIGINS ,UNITY 2014 LOOKS LIKE A NEX GEN GAME COMPARED TO MIRAGE, THE VIEWING CAMERA MUST BE CLOSER, ARNO AND BAYEK WERE TALL AND DEFINED WITH THE CLOSE CAMERA!
