Buddy gets his first ever bath and Amelia is there to help him along. She's so inquisitive and you can tell how much she loves her animals. Little Buddy did really well and this time Milo took a break while Teddy came in for moral support. Retrievers love water anyway but as you can imagine, as a puppy he's been getting very dirty and smelly so needed his first bath. There’s a lot of trust and love packed into that little room.
Golden retrievers like getting wet more than malamutes, getting him into the bath won't be as bad as trying to get Phil to take a bath.
@Mike JH82 I think they should just try to wash Phil outside with the garden house, that might be a more effective way of doing it. Granted there is only so many months a year where its warm enough to do that outside.
@Mike JH82 Nah, Phil has the same problem as most of the dogs, they love to play in the water, what they don't like is the process of taking a bath, I have a cocker spaniel and she acts the same way, it's not fun and the water is clean. But some breeds don't care as much, like goldens.
Love the way that the whole family gathering in the small bathroom to support Buddy in his very first bath time. That’s quite a red letter day for Buddy😂
Phil should have been made to watch how a teeny puppy isn't afraid of his bath. I'm surprised Milo wasn't a spectator. He seems to enjoy the dogs being forced into taking baths.
To be fair, Shane called it-retrievers usually love water, whether it’s swimming or baths. My lab loved her baths.
Phil shouldn’t be “made” to do anything, especially to do with the bath. That’s just cruel.

It's amazing to listen to when Mia starts talking. She already pronounces some words and whole sentences quite clearly. It's great to watch this sweet little girl grow up.
Phil was probably listening at the door and planning his escape fearing he's next 😆

I think Milo hangs out to act as goalie. So if Phil gets close to the door, Milo can swat him back into play.

I notice Phil was no where near for giving moral support 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Little Amelia’s reaction when you said “how did you get up there” she was like I’m here all the time it’s easy 🤣 Buddy was so good in his first bath , a couple of near escape attempts but actually he was just wanting to play , it’s so beautiful seeing teddy just calmly sitting there genuinely was as if he was support for buddy
He is so darn cute and so is she. I bought the same breed once but had to take him back to the breeder due to acute allergy that I didn’t know I had. This brings back great initial memories. Really wish I could have kept him. You are so good both with the dogs and your child.

I love how you teach Amelia how to wash and take care of the pack, it helps to make sure she know when she is older. Surprised so many people try and keep the small kids away from that and wonder why they have a hard time with it when they are older.
You have a toddler now. Amazing how you have so many pets while learning to raise your girl. At least she won’t fear big pets.😄

Honestly the love and care you both show Amelia and the dogs is amazing I know it should be just the way it is for all families but it’s not I can vouch for that from my childhood , the patience and love you have with and for her is lovely and she’s going to grow into a lovely young lady. Buddy will grow into a beautiful big retriever but he may not ever get out of the cheeky stage 🤣

Awww, Buddy did very well for his first bath time, I’m so happy, I do feel they need to be a bit quicker however so the poor pupper doesn’t get anxious, teach Mia when she’s older and give the fur-baby a break. Definitely blow-dry him, he’s not covered in snow fur like the big boys, that robe is great but he needs a bit of hand drying by towel first if anything, IMO. Love these babies so much♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🐾🐾

Buddy is quite a calm dog compared to Teddy the hyper active puppy. 😂
Every dog breed has their own temperament. So a malamute is not going to act the same way as a retriever.
Way too quiet for a puppy. Sleeps a lot. This is puppy is not happy.
@@lornakurien7962 puppies sleep a lot - they need it to grow into big strong dogs! (Plus people are likely to film them more when they're sleeping because a. they're so darn cute and b. it's one of the few times they'll stay still!) Buddy's just fine, and remember, you're only seeing a very small slice of his life online, and every puppy's different in terms of personality and stuff so it just might be how he is. Nothing wrong with that! When I got my puppy he was a quiet little thing who slept a lot, but he's grown up into the sweetest, gentlest, snuggliest little fluff.
