@@laurbug8024 Yeah I 100% completed that game so I remember a lot of it. The only real dialogue was in the starts of the chapters where they explain the story, but there isn't much more than that. What I would be hoping though is that the toads constantly remind him to do the voice.

I love how in some mario games you can survive touching lava but the ambigious purple poison water will just kill you _instantly_
You can easily recover from a burn. (Depending on how severe it is.) Poison however? Not so much. You'll need an antidote/antivenom for that.

I feel like bowser is the kind of guy to take peach hostage without asking, and plan to marry her, but would still require her to say “I do” during the wedding. I love that RT just plays games. Like it doesn't need to a new game, or an old game, just whatever he pleases. That's honestly one of the things that i love about the guy. Not to mention the work he puts into all his videos is insane, he truly puts his heart and soul into it and it just shows. Welp that's all the time i've got, i'm going to go back to playing animal crossing new leaf on my Nintendo 3ds.

fun fact: the pipe moon in deep woods isn't actually just random chance, mario looks at the pipe if you stand still a lot of people don't know that though and it's designed in a way that it just seems like terrible design

There's still no way for you to know to do that, the only way that's happen is if you spend to long looking up the order of the pipes. It's like if I said "Somewhere in this forest there's a gaming PC and if you find it, you can keep it!" then you spend 10 hours looking for it and come to me saying you give up and it's unfair, but I reply with "what do you mean? I rigged some of the trees to shake and drop leaves so that you could follow the leaves and get to the PC!" Like that's still pretty unafair.

I think my favorite thing about Dan and his content is that they just plays whatever he wants, no algorithms, no "what's popular", he just does it to have fun with chat and his friends. Keep up the great work Dan!
Something that people don’t realize is that content is a million times better when the person playing is obviously having a good time and doesn’t feel forced into playing the game. My all-time favorite series on KZhead was put out by a channel named Grayfruit, and it’s called Lark Souls. It’s like 40 hours of Grayfruit and his friend playing dark souls. But what makes it really special is the format. They aren’t playing online, across continents. They are IRL friends. Lark came over to Grayfruit’s house and they played dark souls, and it is literally the epitome of inviting a friend over and showing them a video game you love and they get super into it. Everything about it is just so genuine. They don’t cut too much out too, so you get to hear their conversations in full. Really wish I could see it for the first time again.

I think that one of the best parts of RT’s gameplay videos is that he knows exactly when to talk and when not to talk. He understands that there are moments that are better left to just be experienced without his input, and that there’s the usual gameplay that pops out a lot more with his commentary. It’s awesome.

In terms of this entire playthrough, if RT wanted to show him collecting each individual moon and the progress of collecting all the moons, then this video would've been over 29 hours long! I feel like if nintendo didnt use like 10 yr old controller technology, he would probably have much fewer deaths as well. like most of the ones we see are probably due to janky analog stick controls (not pointing him in the right direction) , or input lag from wireless controllers (causing him to miss what he would otherwise have made). though, of course, there are the ones where he way overcommits lol.

Hey, RT! The reason Bowser's wedding planner henchmen are bunnies is because of an old bit of Chinese folklore pertaining to rabbits on the moon. This is also alluded to in other games like Rhythm Heaven, and it could be the reason Lumas have rabbit forms.
I believe the whole story is rabbits being the company of the goddess of the moon, which would make a lot of sense for Rosalina and the lumas, with the lumas transforming into rabbits.
The reason that rabbits are associated with the moon is that instead of the "man of the moon" the Chinese identify a "rabbit of moon" based on the various impact craters

I've never played a Mario game myself, though I've watched many let's plays, and I've never seen a full fledged playthrough of Odyssey up until this point. Even still every time I hear Pauline's song I get teary eyed. There's just something magical about it.

if you are wondering how to get the moon from the pipe puzzle at 1:31:40 other than brute force you can notice tht mario looks in the direction of the correct pipe.

I really wanna see an alternate universe where Mario and Peach planned out how things would go if Bowser managed to defeat Mario and go to marry Peach. Peach would just say "I do not" at the wedding and Mario just watches from a distance, laughing quietly as Bowser tries to comprehend this fatal flaw in his plan to marry Peach, unable to find a workaround, eventually giving up, bringing Peach back, and going home to play some Half Life 2 or whatever, contemplating how things would've gone better if he had tried asking nicely and eating some Ben and Jerry's Custardy Battle as he struggles to pay his debt caused by his eight kids, trying to figure out when things went wrong. No, he cannot give up, he will find a way, maybe with a super crown he could get Mario, then break up with him, leaving Mario depressed. Luigi isn't a problem, for all we know he and Daisy are somewhere in France maybe, I don't know, but that's not the point. The point is, after breaking up with Mario, that would take him out of the equation, leaving Peach with nobody. And we know that Luigi won't cheat on Daisy because (and I'm sorry if you're reading this Luigi, enjoy the honeymoon) he doesn't have a spine. Then, he could swoop in, apologize to Peach for everything that happened, including with his "sister" and how he wants to put everything behind them and start anew, gradually getting into a relationship with peach. They eventually get married and Bowser can finally support his kids, who have also started new lives. Mario would've "disappeared" and Bowser would be with Peach, but this time, Peach consents to this. His rival gone, the love of his life married willingly to him, everyone except Mario lives happily ever after. Then, Peach and Bowser hit a few rough spots, and get a divorce. Bowser, not wanting all his hard work to go to waste, tries to kidnap Peach. Bowser unknowingly sparks the events that cause Super Mario Odyssey, his hard work actually going to waste, instead of just apologizing and giving Peach some space, all because he loved Peach too much.

This game holds a special place in my heart. This was the first game i played on the switch and the first ever Mario game I ever played. While I will never try to get all stars, I’m glad to see dan enjoy it so much. Also great to see the kill count return.
