Carona is a Swiss village in Ticino. It is located high up next to Monte San Salvatore and on the way from Lugano to Morcote.

About Carona 🏠
Carona is known for its unique architecture and of course the narrow tunnel the Post Bus drives through. This is not the only narrow place though. The alleys of Carona are winding their way around the village and take you on an exciting discovery of this Swiss village.

  • Carona has a fabulous public swimming pool. We used to take the funivia up the hill and walk to the pool. It featured 10 meter diving platform and broad grassy mounds around it for sunbathing and spending the day with the family
