NK only manage to make nuke recently. If the US want, they could invade them years ago if it's not because of China

The Lie was that Nuclear Weapons were present - the Yellow Cake Nigerian Uranium deal - but the US state department never said Nuclear Weapons, only WMD. WMD can refer to numerous types of weapons. It was clear deception, but that didn't change the geostrategic situation of Iraq's Government towards the rest of the region - Every major power on Earth, including Russia, supported the Iraq war. The American collective memory of it is biased and unreasonable.

    @jacksonlee6760@jacksonlee67604 ай бұрын
    • Not historically accurate at all. That's pop-history, which is the only level of history Skorpo can attain to apparently. That number is made up out of thin air, and while he holds the US responsible (fine), it handwaves away all the vicious suicide bombing Iraqis and foreign Muslims did to each other for being the wrong kinds of Muslims, which is where the vast majority of civilian deaths came from. It's pretty gross not to hold those murderers to account.

  • I remember reading that the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoe at George Bush is still bitter about the US-led invasion twenty years later. And as an American myself…I agree. Like, we spent 10+ years in a brutal slog against insurgents after toppling Saddam, sullied our country’s international reputation in ways that it still hasn’t recovered from, and destabilized the Middle East so much that the effects are still being felt to this day, and for what? What was the point? There were no WMDs in Iraq at all! So much suffering was subjected to the Iraqi people for no reason at all! I am so, so sorry to the Iraqi people for the foolish decisions our government made in 2003…

  • What an ending. Really love the way Scorpo portraits war on every place and time, making a healty joke of the ridiculiness of human conflict, but this time introduces an unexpected ending, charged with sadness, denunciation and true. Also, the transition from the well know humoristic style of Scorpo's videos to grief and dark of the ending was masterfully done.

    • Еще бы он за всех жертв так переживал, а не только за ирак, тогда будет более объективно, иначе какого уважения он достоин если выделяет только конкретных людей (опять же если он родился и вырос в сша то я понимаю и снимаю свой вопрос)

    • @@user-dz4cu7xu1z My comment was more in the sense that any conflict is ridiculous, but that on this occasion the unexpectedness of the ending (given the type of sarcasm that Scorpo has accustomed us to) seemed appropriate to me. I'm Mexican, so you probably don't understand the kind of difficult relationship we have with the americans given our history of conflict. Here in my country, the Iraqi war was an event that marked my generation from a distance. I have relatives who live in the United States and fought in that conflict, their minds will never be the same... ...and for what?

  • Cool video but... there is not a single study that gives the 2 million casualty figure throughouth the entire invasion and ocupation. The most casualties a study reports is 1.4 million (and that's within an unspecified range of 700k-1.4 million). There is not a single official, undisputed casualty number in existence, with figures ranging between a minimum of 186K and a maximum of 1.4 mil.

    @NarraJoker12@NarraJoker124 ай бұрын

    • Something something America Oil isn't where you go for facts, just funny videos. The oil companies stayed long after the U.S. soldiers protecting the oil fields from retaliation or exploitation left, and OPEC imports declining overlaps nicely with the Iraqi occupation. You would expect that line to go up if exploitation was itself the goal, not down. Likewise, the United States has always imported more oil from Canada/Mexico than Iraq, and this remains true to this day. The Dutch have made more money from Iraqi oil than Americans have... Inconvenient facts. Iraq 2.0 was definitely a mistake, but it was literally just Cheney and Feith's pet conspiracy theory run amok. Amazing the OSP wasn't locked up for crimes against humanity - wasted American servicemen well included.
