  • I was watching a documentary on Thai children fighters and the training they go through. Nothing was handed to the Thai fighters whatsoever. They have struggled from childhood to reach here in midst unbelievable competition. Hence, they feel it is only right to put the contestants through a semblance of the pain they have endured to be here

  • The tryout look fierce and intense, but is there any TMT fighter attempting title at Lumpini or Raja? i asked because at highest level (the 2 stadiums) seems like fighters always come from very traditional MT gym (or even family gym).

    @valerieaw@valerieaw5 жыл бұрын
    • We have fighters competing at both Lumpinee and Rajadamern stadium, as well as at the MX Muay Xtreme, Super Champ and Max Muay Thai stadiums (not to mention Glory kickboxing, WFL, Kunlun and Enfusion). Nowadays the highest level fights are not only at Lumpinee and Rajadamnern, there are many more shows now.

  • Just because someone doesn’t give it there all in a strength and conditioning doesn’t mean they won’t fight their hearts out in the cage or ring...I think it’s a silly way to measure. Some of those guys who can exercise forever would be the first to turn their backs once the punches start coming in ..I think sparring is a good way to measure a persons drive. Put him in with a guy who’s a few levels above him and see how he handles being the nail and not the hammer ...just my two cents 😊

  • Every fighter looked the same. Same set of tools. I think this is a major problem. Yes it's effective. But no more originality. Just a system. It makes me bored. Where is the authenticity at? Bruce Lee preached against copying. Today every fighter is a copy cat. Hardly anyone stand out unique. Not sure if anyone is seeing this. But I see it. Hopefully in the future people will be courageous enough to develop there own Styles. If there are 5,000 mma fighters doing the same combinations, what's the point?

    • If you look at high level Thai fighters they all have their own styles. Look at Samart, Saenchai, Buakaw, and Yotsanklai. They all look different. Then there are the notorious clinch fighters who look like a completely different breed of fighters. There is variation in Muay Thai only you're too lazy to look for it.
