Unboxing my RWB Porsche 964 Turbo - Did it make the trip from Japan in one piece?
It's here!!! My Rauh Welt Porsche 911 964 Turbo Lands in the UK, and we can't wait to see if it's arrived in one piece!
If you haven't seen the first part of this video in Japan, check it out here: • Japan Road Trip Collec...
The car was built by Promodet and Rauh Welt in 2008 for a customer called Mr Saito, and we don't know any history from then up until the point Phil bought it this year. If anyone knows anything about this car please let us know! :)

Who thinks I should 'Re-box it' & send it back to Japan for another trip?
Such a cool idea and a wonderful country. It's only missing the Japan plates, nice and exotic.
Yeah I love it there! Time to start planning!
@Driftworks rebox it up and take it back to the garage to show them all the improvements you made to it
Probably the best unboxing video on youtube
Prolly should put a V10 in it
Prolly should leave the awesome flat 6 in it really though right!
Phil : "Hi my Name is Phil and I have a Carcaine problem." Really admire a man with a wide variety of car styles and tastes😎
What an experience that must be, door-to-door shipping of an RWB Porsche. The stuff of dreams right there, congrats Phil! 👏🏼👏🏼
Tell Phil congrats.. following dw for years and it's great to see success rewarded
Why am i happy to see this Phil guy so happy with his new car? Maybe because i can kinda relate when getting something one really wants. Congrats fella. Im sure you deserve it.
The fenders look so much better when they are not riveted!
PacoVL46 looks súper Clean like that
I’m not normally a Porsche fan, but that thing is fookin gorgeous! Between that and the E30 build, I’m very envious of your cars Phil 👌
Long wait is over mate big congratz a real stunner😎
Dream car right there
congrats man,shes a beauty.
Congratulations Phil! Welcome to the RWB family! Am loving your RWB and hope to one day meet you and see the car! Again, Congratulation! Enjoy the car and can't wait for more videos on it!
Thanks man! That would be great! Cheers!
Saw this today at retro rides, Stunning a dream car !!!!!
Thanks for sharing the experience, congrats on that beautiful car!
No probs, thanks Patrick!
Simply stunning - living the dream!
Congratulations! Can see the stoke in your eyes. Beautiful car.
philim glad the rwb made it back safe, your a lucky man, dont forget too thank the wife
Right so was that camera in the container fitted in japan and started recording remotely before they opened the container or did someone sneek in to flick the on button? Oh cool car too!
best unboxing ever
Thanks Austin!
I'm from Birmingham and cannot wait to see this thing on the road 😍
I'm not a fan of the "double wing" but my god is it breath taking
Gorgeous car.
Congrats on the car .enjoy 😀
Gorgeous car bro!, glad it got to you nice and safe!....enjoy it safely mate...
Thanks! Will do!
Sweet lord that thing is a beast.
Fenders look much better than what he typically does. Very nice.
I like it , makes me wanna build a silly fast aircooled thing , but i'll never manage a 911 these days , maybe a fastback VW
Epic Car
Dreamcar right there...!
More excited for this than the e30
Great video
Amazing experience to be shared… thank you #inspiration #influencer .. I really like DW vibes and style👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Coolest truck I've ever seen!!
It's awesome isn't it! Worth every penny (of which there were a lot )
finally, the seat for the e30 m3 has arrived. hehehe
whats the sound track at 6:00?
More please!
Very very nice. Can’t imagine how it must feel to open up a container like that. Enjoy.
i dont normally like RWB porsche, but this clean built might be an exception. Just cant ignore the clean look and the amazing body line. Still prefer smaller porsche's wingback though. Cheers... Hope you enjoy it to the fullest
I'm not normally that fussed by most of them either. When I first saw this I wasn't even sure it'd had any arch work done, which is why I absolutely love it. The correct ratio of extreme, and subtlety!
congrats phill it looks amazing and the photos on facebook are stunning would love to pop by to grab some wheels and have a look!
Thanks man!
Beautiful! Other than that I'm speechless
Thanks!
Something about this car it looks good with the double stack wing but I reckon it would look good with just the whale tail or even no spoiler at all
Well done Phil, well deserved.
Thank you :)
Way to go! 😎
name of the first music/instrumental? the hip-hop/jazz music at 0:003
Cool trailer crane. Car’s pretty nice too.
Congrats * * * * * !
Thanks :)
This made me happy.
Me too :D
Anyone know the full cost of importing the car?
If its rwb were are the custom fitment and rwb markings.or what's the name did taki give it
Do you mean Nakai-San? It's a Promodet demo car with bodywork by Rauh Welt. It was built by Promodet then driven 5 miles round the corner to Rauh Welt to have his smooth fender kit fitted.
the car is just fucking perfect i super happy for you.
I'm a massive RWB fan, many congratz Phil. Well chuffed for you and has the Car been given a name?
Thanks! It's not a named car as it's a Promodet car with bodywork by Rauh Welt (who are round the corner from Promodet)
Woow nice
2:49 is that a sign awesomefest is coming back or old stock ?
Just Fraser being retro!
Driftworks 😢
Did you guys leave the camera in there when you shipped the car?
Psyc Design they opened it and did a re-enactment of opening it for the first time, if they had a camera that had a 2-3 week battery life I’d be impressed
How long would it take to get cleared to go on the road?
It'll be a week or two as HMRC and the DVLA are involved, and they are usually ridiculously sh$t.
Jeeeeez
Smart using cables. We are far from gentle picking cans off the vessel and placing them in the yard!
Haha, that's what we figured. Although its not mil-spec. Apparently we could have done a better job. I figured this would be enough for a 45 degree angle 😄
@@driftworks they don't give you very good lashing points inside the cans anyway. You did a much better job then the standard car lashing!
Just when I thought DW couldnt get better with their line up, they go ahead and acquire a RWB Porsche. DW is fuckin killing it!
Haha, thanks man!
I noticed you tried to grab the keys on the right hehe, Porsche's have the keys to the left hehe
Taking it to Ring this year?
If I get the chance to go to the ring it will be in the new E30 M3 as that's what it's being built for.
Will this be at any shows this year? 👍
Hopefully yes! Not sure where yet though.
Driftworks cool keep us posted. Would love to see this
Is there a Making Of this RWB ?
It was built in 2008, so the best we have is a few terrible quality photo's in posts on the RWB Blog.
Forever tasteful Phil. She's a beaut.
Question did you import is vehicle from Japan ??
Gaz Girl yes, watch the previous video it's pretty good
Yes, I drove it 1000km through Japan to the docks in Osaka, check the video here kzhead.info/sun/fNieis2icKN6eZ8/bejne.html
Driftworks wow interesting it’s just one of those things to do list buy a car from Japan and around it around then import it back home . Hopefully soon enough I’ll have the chance too I’ve got two Nissan s12 one ca18det and fj20et rsx hatch’s , might be getting another one .cheers
By far the nicest out of your collection dude. What number are you on now? It’s it’s pretty impressive haha
Thanks man! I'm not sure, probably 2 if we're just counting cars that are fully working haha :D
Work hard play hard 🤘
Sooooo much want .
😍😍😍
nice
'A beautiful sportswagon, there' (did my Bob Ross voice)
Was this car named? What did Nakai name it?
No, it's a Promodet demo car with body by Rauh Welt, so it won't have a name.
Ok at 2:06 I thought this is it, the S85 is back from Germany just in time for Brexit. Seriously though, this is mega.
Damn she's a beauty 😍
But when you gunna lower it? Get a set of HSDs on her.
I think it needs a bigger wing or two
Starkey has offered his!!
do you know much about the story behind this car?? Would make a cool video if you do. The work nakai san puts into each car is insane
I've been trying to find out the story since I bought it. I've found it being built on the RWB blog, but that's about it unfortunately.
❤️🍻
Oooh God ...
Vlogs need more drone footage!
Yep! :D
As a former C-17 Loadmaster, the restraint they used to secure this car made me cringe.
I thought they did quite a good job. I'm not sure it would have stayed in place perfectly if the container fell 100ft off the ship, but it seemed pretty damn secure to me.
Must be the only RWB in the UK surely?
There's a few that have been made in the UK. One recently that Nakai-san came over to build. But this in my opinion is O.G. Rauh Welt, before he became really famous and the bolt on 2ft arch thang started to happen. It looks like a 964 Turbo, just more.
"unboxing" a car.. as you do :D
you are now my fucking hero mate
Factory 3.6?
Promodet 3.3. The badge was one of the first things to be removed. A long with the rear wiper.
@@driftworks Ah I see. A good candidate for the modifications performed then. Doing that to a Bad Boys spec Turbo would be a bit contentious and understandably so.
baller
Classic Porsche misstake 4:09 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not sure what I'm doing there as the key is in my left hand.
I wouldn't know where you could go from here. What on earth could you get to better this!?
I'm really not sure... F40 is still a thing!
Phil do you think it’s time for some crumpets and cream?
Its nice, but why a turbo one?
Why a nuts 500+ hp Promodet built genuine 964 turbo? Strange question!
since when does youtube allow porn!?
Thats not a Rauh Welt i think
It's a Promodet car with bodywork by Rauh Welt.
the wing is too small
💟💟💟
Would of been perfect if you were driving from the other seat
I've toyed with converting it to RHD. I don't think I need the project though. Got enough of those!
So damn sexy, everything just works about it. This is what dreams are made of :) Enjoy!
I hate those wings so much, I would instantly replace it with one of those porsche racing wings from back in the day
👍
Another Nakai San nightmare.
Officially it's a Promodet nightmare. One of the best built cars I've ever seen come out of Japan.
Fapnation!!
= drain mouthwater
The top wing is the only blemish on this beaut.
