I was a heroin addict for over 10 years and during that time whenever this song would come up in my playlist it would cause me to breakdown crying. But now I’m almost 5 years sober and I can finally listen to it again without getting upset. Things can always change in your life for the better and no matter what you are going through, you can get through it and find your happiness in life.

Honestly, I hate the people on here that are like,"Only the people that have been listening since they started are real fans." Bullshit. I only discovered NF recently, but I love this music. I had never heard of him before like, October of 2017. That doesn't make me a fake fan. That means I didn't have the means to discover his music before I did, and I discovered it when I needed it most in my life. So cool yourselves. Listening longer doesn't make you a better fan.

NFs music is literally therapy. I will never understand why people hate on him. He literally writes about his life, and his past. He doesn't curse in his songs, He writes from heart. while other rappers just write crap about Guns, s3x, etc. (Not saying all Rappers are like this) but its very common for most rappers to just rap about the same things. Name 1 other artist that puts the same things in context the way he has done. The reason he has weight and meaning is because his words, his music, his art isn't his to begin with. Correct me if I'm wrong but this man is reaching out for souls. He's using Christ. The bible tells us he will give you a tongue they cannot gainsay nor resist. The Lords using him to reach souls in the balance. I've looked at many "Christian" artists. I don't think any of them have as much of a leading as NF, music wise and spiritually. Life experiences has given him an very deep understanding to coincide with what the Lords given him.

chavezery09 all of nf's songs are insanely more artful that a "booze and bitches" song. every song that he writes is about a personal struggle that he is dealing with or has dealt with, which brings hope and inspiration to people, while all the "booze and bitches" songs basically tell people of all ages, including MINORS, that it's OK to have sex and smoke illegal drugs and drink. he is using the gift that God gave him to write these songs. what would you rather have as a role model for your kids, wiz khalifa, someone where all of their song is about drinking and smoking, basically telling people to do it, or NF, someone who writes songs about his life and his struggles and gives hope to people struggling with the same thing as him and helping them survive the tough times in their lives?

Now I started a new career but sometimes i feel like I'm not putting in all the effort i should. I recognize my problems and i go to therapy, i change for a while but then i go back to the beginning. I had similar issues and even now question my decision. I know I will be okay though because I spent a few years out of school to discover myself. I found I do not like sitting at work for long periods or working at computers, also that I’m good at problem solving and working with my hands. As long as I have a job with these basic parameters I will be happy :). What I’m saying is, don’t worry so much, take in your surroundings, live in the moment and find who you really are. Life will follow accordingly

It is rare to find an artist who can make you feel every emotion possible; they can make you cry, be angry, be anxious, be happy, be hyped up, felt understood. It is also rare that they genuinely can't bring out a bad song. NF is one of these rare artists. Of course I have favourites, but I literally find every one of his songs good. I really hope NF comes to Germany next year for his Clouds tour. Also cannot wait for his next album (as he said in That's a Joke - "I been writin' chill, Just chew on this 'til the record's built, okay."

I was this woman in the room. He took both of our kids, while I was working two jobs, getting stressed, paying for our house, everything, he did nothing but stay with them. Never gave me a chance to be a mom. It was all about control, from incubator to professional worker, no time to be a mom inbetween. It destroyed me. Been fighting to see my two kids ever since. He doesn't believe that I have a mothering bone in my body. It's so hard, not to believe he's right. All I know is to work, cook and clean. I feel like such a horrible person for it. They didn't deserve that. All I ever wanted was to be a mom. It's like constantly being torn, between wanting to fight and wanting to let go, thinking you'll do a crappy job anyways.

My circumstances are similar to yours. I’m experiencing this right now during a contentious Divorce with my soon to be Ex-Husband he controlled me, when he was losing control he used the kids to control me. Calling CPS 4 times in a year, false child abuse accusations investigated & cleared. When they lose control over you, they use what they can. When they’ve used up what they can, they control how others perceive you, spreading lies so much to the point that you question yourself and believe you are the problem. But it’s his control he seeks over every aspect of your life. Til you have nothing are nothing and hopeless without him, and your children. That’s a severe Domestic Violence and emotional abuse situation. Get in touch with Turning Point or other Domestic Violence Agencies.

This song always makes me tear up.. it's so relatable, I haven't done anything with my life and i feel like I'm not going anywhere, not moving forward, just standing in place, i feel like I'm asleep. Like i live in a coma. And when in the main verse he angrily yells "wake up", it sends shivers down my spine while tears drop from my face, because it's like my own reflection in the mirror yells at me to wake up and snap out of it because a side of myself is so angry at me for sleeping. But to no avail. I can't wake up. I have big dreams, but I don't chase them because I'm paralyzed. Why? Why can't i wake up, I'm trying so hard.... I'm stuck, trapped in my own mind. At the end of the day, I get into bed, pull the covers over my head and listen to NF's music, and I'm going to admit, I am depressed and I have thought about killing myself before but the only reason I haven't is because of Nate's music, because at the end of the day while I'm under the cover listening to NF, I cry. I don't mean to put pressure on Nate when I say his music keeps me alive if he stopped making music I would be VERY sad, but I would listen to the songs that are already made, but Nate's music is what keeps me from losing my emotions completely. By “wake up” he means “spiritually wake up”. We all go through life asleep feeling like we’re dreaming and we think money will solve all our problems. Even if we get everything we want, money, the house, the car, “the perfect marriage” etc. we’ll always have this void that can’t be filled until we learn self love which leads back to God. When I was younger I loved NF's music. The first song that stood out was Outcast, because dispite growing up around a lot of people, I still felt too different to belong. As I grew up I began to understand more and more of his songs as they started speaking to me about things that I was going through. Happy spoke to how I felt months ago and how I still kind of feel today, but then I look back and see how far I've come. Man… I’m coming back probably three years later since discovering this song and playing it. I’m in a much better headspace, but this takes me back to the times I used to listen to this song in a very very dark place. I would cry every night and this would get me through the night. I related to it so much and I used to bawl my eyes out to this. Now, I listen from a different perspective. More to observe myself and see how I’ve grown and I no longer feel as sad when I listen, just grateful to see growth as that’s what music should do. Anyways I just wanted to say this. Great song, nice instrumentals and like usually, powerfull lyrics. Like Psalm 34:18 says: "God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Even in the worst days, even when we feel that we are alone and think that life isn't worth it, God is close, he understands our hearts better than anyone else. We can trust him. This song hits me so hard because sometimes i feel like I'm just sleepwalking through life. I'm 21 but i feel like I haven't lived at all. Started 4 uni careers but dropped out from all of them. Now I started a new career but sometimes i feel like I'm not putting in all the effort i should. I recognize my problems and i go to therapy, i change for a while but then i go back to the beginning. I had similar issues and even now question my decision. I know I will be okay though because I spent a few years out of school to discover myself. I found I do not like sitting at work for long periods or working at computers, also that I’m good at problem solving and working with my hands. As long as I have a job with these basic parameters I will be happy :). What I’m saying is, don’t worry so much, take in your surroundings, live in the moment and find who you really are. Life will follow accordingly

I have gone through many different and sometimes difficult phases in my life, only to get to know and love myself more and more through each crisis. It is rare to find an artist who can make you feel every emotion possible; they can make you cry, be angry, be anxious, be happy, be hyped up, felt understood. It is also rare that they genuinely can't bring out a bad song. NF is one of these rare artists. Of course I have favourites, but I literally find every one of his songs good. I really hope NF comes to Germany next year for his Clouds tour. This song always makes me tear up.. it's so relatable, I haven't done anything with my life and i feel like I'm not going anywhere, not moving forward, just standing in place, i feel like I'm asleep. At the end of the day, I get into bed, pull the covers over my head and listen to NF's music, and I'm going to admit, I am depressed and I have thought about killing myself before but the only reason I haven't is because of Nate's music, because at the end of the day while I'm under the cover listening to NF, I cry. I don't mean to put pressure on Nate when I say his music keeps me alive if he stopped making music I would be VERY sad, but I would listen to the songs that are already made, but Nate's music is what keeps me from losing my emotions completely. When I was younger I loved NF's music. The first song that stood out was Outcast, because dispite growing up around a lot of people, I still felt too different to belong. As I grew up I began to understand more and more of his songs as they started speaking to me about things that I was going through. Happy spoke to how I felt months ago and how I still kind of feel today, but then I look back and see how far I've come. I’m in a much better headspace, but this takes me back to the times I used to listen to this song in a very very dark place. I would cry every night and this would get me through the night.
