Phenomenal overview of these controllers- thank you so much
How to not avoid stick drift, get a controller with 4 paddles and assign L3/R3 to them. I hate pressing the stick down especially when tilting, that's how you destroy your thumbsticks.
Do metal thumbsticks have that problem? You know when theres metal for the stick.
That is a great idea tbh xD
@@ernestsvaldovskis343it does
I was gonna debunk your comment but I actually have some spare pots and checking one I did notice the whole carbon pads move up and down on the potentiometers when you press it, so there's merit to your statement. It won't eliminate the wear but might diminish it
All controllers including stock should come with two back buttons, just to remove the pressing of the L3/R3
I’m actually surprised more games outside of Fortnite haven’t used the adaptive triggers as a software short trigger pull. It works really well from the time I’ve spent with the option.
Multi plats have been kind of lazy with platform specific features for a while now.
Rainbow 6 call of duty and apex all use it. Any game with the ps5 symbol next to it usually has an adaptive trigger setting somewhere
Money
@TosTheory but it doesn't act as a shorter trigger rather than a gun trigger in both siege and cod
Why not use a switch pro controller with a brook adapter? Can't get more of a short trigger than just having a button instead
That half dome back button on the edge is in my opinion by far the most comfortable and easy to use out of any gaming controller. I feel like ur fingers just go there very naturally. Other gaming controller companies should implement it. There is one out there that did tho, TCP.
Very informative thank you 👍
I turn off vibration and the adaptive triggers, the Victrix is looking good
Great review, very informative. Subscribed ✌️
Very nice explanation man, thanks
subscribing now because amazing review on all controllers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
nice & detailed comparison ❤️ I'll just get the Razer in my local shop then return it for the Dual Sense Edge if I dont like it
Genuinely can’t wait for that clicky, 8-way microswitch D-Pad from Razer to be featured on a stormtrooper wired/wireless RAION successor for PS5/Switch !!! As well as featured on a stormtrooper Raiju with slightly less options than the wolverine v2 pro, and the D-Pad in the top left corner, like the traditional PlayStation layout has always been.
What pro controller do you recommend between Victrix Pro BFG or Dualsense edge because I'm looking for a good controller
Wow the notification actually made me on time
This helped so much
Dope just ordered my new controller 👍
I tried the DSE and found my fingers cramping however, it’s still the best option because of the removable sticks
I actually like what companies are doing with the scuff controllers for the ps5 especially with how customizable it is
except you're paying $300+ easily for a customized control which is crazy... +$40 extra just to have mouse click bumpers/triggers
@@SamuelThadius12yeah, scuf controllers are awful
@@MilkTsunamithey are great but overpriced lol
Buy refurbished ones, absolutely the same, 3/4 of the price
GuliKit said they are currently in R&D for HAL sticks for the DualSense, and will be for the DualSense Edge first since the modular design is best for them and easy to sell
I have been waiting for exactly this, this is so good to hear
They make the best controller for the switch hands down
But hall sticks will be sale stand alone))
Any idea as to when they will become available? Tired of the standard edge stick modules, they lack precision and get stick drift within 3months. Most modules I bought from sony for the edge come with a 6% deadzone, giving you stick drift instantly. I miss my Nacon revolution unlimited, those were the BEST sticks money could buy... 0% deadzone, super precise with the best consistency and tension money could buy. I hope they make one for the PS5 cuz these sticks just don't cut it anymore
@@goldeneyegaming5439what happened to your nacon revolution?
With the Wolverine V2 Pro is there an issue with dead zone as allot of users are saying that the controller is unplayable due to the built in dead zone. Is this true or not
one thing u should cover is feel and grip
Talk about bad timing, I bought the dual sense edge 3 weeks ago. I am also in Canada so vectrix controller is not available on Canadian retailers. It works fine, a lot more feature complete than any other pro controller I've used. But incredibly expensive!
Interestingly - none of them has hall effect sticks, which in my opinion would be real killer feature

Nacon revolution 5 has hall effect
I mainly play first person shooter so I'm down to the BFG or the natecom. What would you recommend@@joeschmoe5009
Somewhat random question. The Wolverine sounds most enticing for my use cases: I have a Dualsense so won't miss out on the rumble and triggers, and want to play as many genres of games with it as possible, with a unique emphasis on 2D platformers and shmups. The big question for me is if the dpad on the Wolverine is in a comfortable and accessible position? If so I think the choice is obvious for me since the tactility would be ideal, and I could use it with any other sort of game, and keep the Dualsense for PS5 games. I just fear that I prefer the dpad placement on the Dualsense, so maybe the BFG would be the wiser choice.
Also, I suppose I'm curious on compatibility with other console controller adapters. For example, I'd love using some of these with Brook retro adapters, on the Switch, etc.
You should just get a Retrobit Saturn style controller if all you want is a controller for 2D platformers and shooters. The Saturn controller is great and then you could just your Dualsense like you said for PS5 games. It would be better and a lot cheaper.
What is the controller with the best ergonomics? I find the dualsense uncomfortable, too big thanks
The next version of the edge needs an option for psvita dpad
Just brought the dual sense edge today.
Does custom ps5 controller have adaptive triggers
I had the fusion pro switch controller with 4 paddles for about 2 years and I just now I switch to ps5, so I’m definitely interested in the victrix as I can switch the D pad closer to what I used to have. I just don’t like how you have to go out of your way to remap
I know this is just a review but with all the reviews out there what could've made yours different is to mention the problems with each controller. For example the V2 pro i hear has a huge deadzone problem. Just advice you may not even need. Good video though.
If only the edge had a visual customization I’d definitely buy that tbh but Ig imma have to go with scuf at the end of the day
Be careful with the v pro bfg. I got a warranty on it when I brought it. Updated it on pc and I had it for two weeks and had stick drift on the right analog stick. Reset it and as they say on the instructions still drifts. Also they don't have modules that you can buy separately. Ended up swapping it out for something else.
what did you get
Yeah same had mine for 2 months and I have stick drift on the left analog stick. A shame because I love the direction buttons on the controller but I’ve got dicked soo many times because the drift would cause me to miss input something and lose a match.
@@kevinahearn8764Dual sense edge
I got the Big Friendly Giant, I like it.
For steam go with the edge. The extra buttons are natively mappable.
Which of these is the biggest, aka most comfortable for larger hands? or maybe you have another option for me?
For everyday gaming I got the edge and for high pressure situations I did get the vitrix pro because I like the sensitivity of them and the mouse clicks for the L1 R1
Mr moneybags dropped a digital ps5 worth in controllers. If u got it u got it tho.
Got it for 130 from a guy that thought it was meant for shooters. The victrix pro bfg is meant for fighting games imo, not shooters. DS edge is great for shooters
@@JudgeNicodemus not meant for shooters in what way?

@@JudgeNicodemus dang feared thats what u meant. The controller has so much going for it fr. Aint got money for nothin rn, but def had my eyes on the victrix. Thnks for letting me know tho.
I have the victrix pro BFG end I have the Dual sense Edge the one thing I want both of them to do they won't do I want to program two buttons to 1 button how do you program a button to the back of the Dual sense Edge it removes it from the top of the controller so those back buttons can only be used to supplement a single button there's no way to program a button combination I wasted pretty much $400 on two pro controllers that don't do what I want them to do
Doesn't Sodium already come with Iris Shaders or will I have to still install it separately?
I think I’ll go for the Victrix controller, though the Razor Wolverine looks alright too. It’s the Xbox-style sticks that’s my main draw towards them cuz the awkward claw shape you gotta make for the dualsense is finally cramping my hands, especially when I recently started playing Evil West recently. I’m not too worried about having no rumble or haptic triggers as I never really cared about them or really noticed them.
Good idea my Wolverine came in broken yesterday 😭 probably going to get the edge now
I actually ended up getting both the Edge and Wolverine, as I was able to snag both at almost half the price. The victrix was perfectly fine on its own, but it was too small for my hands; I kept hitting the back paddles and the hair triggers if I gripped it tightly like I normally do with my controllers.
Not gonna lie, the Wolverine is garbage. I ordered a pre-made from extremerate and I love it
victrix is shit bro i took it back for the first party one
Do any of these controllers allow the back buttons to not be bound to a face button? As in they register as a R4/R5 L4/L5 or bound to a keyboard key like Z. I want to use it for a game like warthunder to add more custom key binds for the game. Won’t do me any good if they can only be linked to the face buttons.
From my experience as far as extra mappable buttons go never seems to work on console unless the game itself let's you map controls on my Sim racing wheel I have extra paddles that can be mapped as extra inputs on a hardware level but most console games don't support it
If only the dualsense had 4 back paddles, and also, i kinda wished u could switch from mouse triggers to normal, intead of you still having to push down a little when the controller is in the lowest mode, there should be a pro controller where the triggers could switch from mouse to normal and in the middle
does this victrix pro have dualsense 5?
I Just returned my Razor controller , the controler is great but the fact I have small hand it's not comfortable, So I order both edge and the Victrix Pro BFG.
this is the comment i was looking for, i also have small hands, did you like both controllers? or are they still too big ?
Which one is the best for Tekken 8? I would play it on PC.

Just got a Victrix. Controller is confusing But I kinda got the hang of it
I have a edge nd a scuf for xbox. I still have my elite(1st one) but one of the buttons finally started acting weird so i wont use it on cod. I rather like my edge tho.
It's really weird that you have to find a controller and choose which feature you are going to give up. For example, in my personal case I like having all of these: 1_ Hall effect sticks 2_ Magnetic charging dock 3_ Waking the console with a button 4_ Xbox like D-pad and left stick positions 5_ Remappable buttons, ideally you could remap them to keyboard/mouse presses on pc but I can settle for rewasd
Well no shit its going to be hard to find an xbox layout playstation controller

so unbelievably disappointing. i've been waiting for a pro PS controller for over five years. with four paddles, the edge would easily be the best controller on the market. How fucking hard is it to make a good controller???
@kevinahearn8764 my heart was broken when I saw its was just two paddles..
True. I got used to 4paddles in Aimcontroller. Tried edge but 2paddles not any longer for me though quality is better.
Edge or Scuf (PS) fs. Sony's Bluetooth tech is insane and especially if you're using it for pro level gaming, they have less latency when wireless than even some wored connections.
I've just bought dualsense edge its coming saterday. Are they worth it
I like the dual sense but I wish they just change the analog placement that’s why I bought the razor. I play rocket league heavy and that analog placement is much needed lol

Had this controller for a while now they rushed to put it out there around the exact time the edge dropped. They didn't even have there app up for firmware updates. And fixing stick drift issues. However, the app is up now running smoothly. The controller is light and extremely sensitive. Once you adjust to it it's a game changer. My kd in cod went from a .98 to 1.14. And im still peaking. I took it over the edge because the triggers and extra back buttons. I use it for cod and my beat em up games like Tekken, mortal Kombat, and soul caliber. I use my base duelsense for the PS exclusives that are story driven. This controller is probably the best remote i have ever owned. It's like the swiss army knives of controllers. Use Duelsense edge you can remap all the buttons
I waited for the DualSense Edge but when it released it was too expensive for me, and it wasn't the best in the features i needed. I bought a real metal back button attachment from ExtremeRate with a clicky trigger mod. I didn't need analog stick replacement because i get a pair of Kontrolfreek from my friend and it's perfect. I have an Astro C40 too, but i think for FPS games the most of the features are gimmicks. Clicky triggers, back buttons (extra programmable buttons) and swappable sticks are necessary.
Exactly, the ExtremeRate kit has 4 buttons for an extra $50 and the KontrolFreak has concave hi-rise sticks, this also works outside the PS5. For $200 the Edge has non of these, I consider that thing garbage.
@@zZiL341yRj736 microswitch triggers works much better too, it's fast and very good the feedback. The adjustable triggers never works like that. Battery is smaller in the Edge.
I’d really love to get a custom controller but I didn’t have the best experience with scuf does anyone else have any other recommendations?
Neacons use hal effect sensors which have no stick drift problem
The edge is the go to you can change the joysticks whenever you get drift and don’t need to send it or buy a new one like that’s a game changer bro
But it cas 3 times more before it saves you money .
@@Crashed131963 It kinda depends on your own personal experience, if you're not gaming frequently, then a normal dualsense is just fine since you won't wear down the sticks as fast and getting a new controller after maybe 2 years is fine... But if you're frequently gaming, and especially if you're playing games that requires lots of inputs, like action RPGs or especially FPS shooters, then you're gonna wear down your controller much faster, it's why some people can have their controllers for years and still have no drift while others get drift in a few months. If the latter's your case then the dualsense edge would be more worthwhile in the longer term, since you won't have to be buying a new controller every few months or a year So for some people it can actually save them a lot of money and possibly 3-5 controllers, and we're still a long way before a whole new generation of console comes out so you're gonna be gaming with that controller for a long time
Only question I got is do all of these work with Ps5 games?
I just want a standard xbox style controller for ps5 that doesn't cost a ton. The xbox controller is so much more comfortable than the ps5 to me.
Would be cool if console makers sold asymmetrical and offset 1st party controllers to give consumers options
All I want is a PlayStation controller that has an offset layout without sacrificing features. I cannot use the symmetrical design to safe my life, but I still need gyro and other features for singleplayer games.
I don’t know what to choose between dse and victrix for fort ute

Victrix is badass
it would've been awesome controller if it had vibration feature
whats also good about the EDGE is that it works on Windows 10+ seamlessly via steam... now assuming you like using Steam is another case entirely also waiting for other colors and probably a bit of a price drop... 12K PHP is a bit of a pill to swallow
It does not.
I’m going to design a pro controllers with twelve back buttons. I feel it necessary.
We don't have 12 fingers 😭
i was considering biftrix pro, but i don't like the fact i had to put the usb dongle on my ps5, because i've already had the usb dongle on my ps5 for my wireless headset. edit: gyro is not for casual, actually it's pretty op once you master it, more aim accuracy on battle royale game, and also will increase your kda.
I would stick to my DualSense controller just cause of the price is more affordable.
Got both edge n elite. Elite has better built quality but both are good according specs. No regret for £350😅
I am interested in maybe getting the victrix pro bfg since the dual sense controller is uncomfortable. I really like my xbox elite series 2 for my xbox so would it be comparable to the victrix comfort wise? I need 4 paddles so the victrix or razer wolverine v2 pro is what I am leaning towards.
I sadly wouldn’t recommend the Victrix controller. I’ve had it since the start of January and it worked like a dream… until I tried to update the software. Trying to update the wireless dongle made it stop working completely and the controller update never finished despite waiting for nearly an hour. Costumer service was hella slow and I’m not even sure it’s worth the effort to get a new wireless dongle. The stick drift has become unbearable in certain games. It also has a tendency to stop working completely in the middle of games which has caused many frustrating and avoidable deaths. When you change the sensitivity of the triggers, it also tends to shut the controller down, leaving me to unplug and plug it back in again. The back buttons are a bit too cramped for my liking and placed in a way that depending on the game, makes them hurt to use over time. Overall: Good at the start, terrible any other time. Here are my thoughts in order. (Specifically for me playing FPS games such as COD) 1: Xbox Elite Series 2 (Xbox) Pros: -The only one that feels like what you paid for (IMO). Very premium feel, no other controller beats it. can adjust the pressure on the joy stick. You customize sooo much it’s crazy! 4 paddles that are metal 🤘 Cons: stick drift issues alllll the time. 2: Victrix Pro BFG (PS5) Pros: Shape like an elite and the trigger bumpers are a lot faster than the elite controller. 4 paddles (plastic) you can do what the heck you want with the analogs / buttons. Cons: feels very plastic and cheap. no joystick pressure adjustment. 3: Dual sense Edge (PS5) Pros: Premium feel. Has 2 paddles that are metal. can customize a lot. can easily remove the joystick to replace instead of buying a whole new controller. Cons Didn’t like that it only has 2 back paddles. 4: Revolution 5 Pro (PS5) Pros: can play with PS5. Revolution was so bad, I returned the first day. So I don’t have much of a fair review. 🗑 I’ve used others in the past like scuff but that was just a sh*tty experience. Conclusion for me is that the Elite controller is the most comfortable and premium controller that I have ever owned. What controller are you guys using?
