And truck drivers span different industries, different competency levels, some drive their own equipment, some unload their own trucks, some haul dangerous chemicals and have to be up to date on every federal law and safety procedure pertaining to the chemical. Some just want to drive and nothing else. My point is that truck drivers span the gamut of pay rates. Some are overworked and under payed. Some are payed well and work 60 to 70 hours a week, every week. If you live in your truck, it's not just a job, it's a lifestyle. One thing it isn't, It isn't sun shine and lollipops, I'll tell you that much.

The world would break down without delivery drivers, minimum wage workers and the most importantly truck drivers. Their hardships throughout the world are relatively unknown and most of the population takes them for granted. We should really appreciate the hard work they do and all the mental and physical abuse they put themselves through, just so we people can have soda made in another state. • Much love and respect to truck drivers. Please be safe out there. My uncle used to be a truck driver, sadly he passed away on a head on collision caused by another truck driver performing an illegal turn, the other driver also passed away, it was presumed the one doing the illegal turn was exhausted or fell asleep on the wheel as he was not known to use drugs.

  • I have a lot of respect for all truckers that have to endure this working environment every day. If it wasn't for these guys, and sometimes gals, our shelves would be empty. I empathise with anyone that has to endure long hours, working alone out on the road, having to deal with unpleasant people at almost every turn. My own job is quite similar in a way as I'm also out on the roads on foot, in all weathers, covering large distances and dealing with the general public. Sometimes it can be an extremely bleak and lonely existence, but we still perservere to get the job done. Keep on truckin' 👍

  • Bruh this hits home way too deep. I didn’t know what truck drivers went through until I recently started. Truck Parking is a dilemma, sleeping in a truck is dawg shit, the deadlines are sometimes unmanageable, etc… I was OTR from Black Friday to the 23rd of December. I wonder how are these men and some women paying rent? They’re barely home 😂.
