I love hard work. I can watch it for hours! Stay Safe.
😂😂😂
Thanks! I bought a cheap tree climbing kit from Amazon and I wasn't too sure just how to use it. Your video explained it well.
Glad it helped
I was a tree trimmer for 12 years back in the 70's. Hard work but very rewarding.
Sure it's hard work you must be buffed still
@@TheCrazyRomanian Ha. Back then i was like a gorilla. Now at age 75 i'm a big fat pig. 😀
@@pjbikerful nice
shouldn't be spiking it if your not removing it?
I bought a pair of those spikes. They suck. The problem is that the double points keep your foot fixed so it can't pivot, which is hard on the knees and is the reason you were so worn out afterward. I'm ditching mine for a pair of real arborist gaffs. They're expensive, but there's no way I'm wearing myself out and risking my neck doing all the work I need done with this Chinese version. It's risky enough being 50' up when you're comfortable and secure; these things just make it ridiculous and dicey. I could see it if I had your one tree with no branches, but any significant volume of work is rendered way too strenuous with marginal equipment like this.
as a professional tree climber this was very entertaining ps- use pants next time not shorts will help the spikes from being uncomfortable
🫢🤔😉
thank for the video, it looks like you have to be in good physical shape to avoid a heart attack . I'm 55 years old and still feel ok to do this . I need to trim 3 palm trees
It won't come off your legs if the zips breack I'm sure. I would change them out every yr. Or stich them together or rivet what have you. Cheapest used sets I can find are around 50-100$ and would need new leather and spicks or reshaped. Think I'll get me a pair of these!
The pad it's held by the zip ties, they don't hold weight ..
I hope no one thinks this is the right way to do this. Always have the equipment and knowledge to self rescue back to the ground when working a tree
I could climb this tree in flipflops if I have to to get down
@Vegas RoManiac REVIEWS sure can. However when all those dead fronds slip down ontop of you and trap you don't expect me to come get you down before you suffocate 🤷♂️
@@TheCrazyRomanianyou clearly have no respect for danger and will definitely hurt yourself….
What can I use to kill a tree and dry it out so we can later cut it down easier ?
Drill. Holes at the bottom
I recommend next time to do small sturdy steps, also not to straightened your lower leg keep both slightly bent. But you got guts to try with zip ties. 😬
You've got guts. Once I saw that everything was held together with zip ties, I would've bailed out.
That's just an assumption the fact that he's held by zip ties is the protection that it's meant not to scratch your foot but the metal bar is where you're standing that's that part is not help by zip ties so having an eye to look for things that cannot jeopardize safety it's a skill that some people don't have and apparently you don't you jump to conclusion too fast
@@TheCrazyRomanian hahahah what a stupid fkn reply wtf
@@TheCrazyRomanian at least you think you are safe. Have to trust your gear. But there is a reason there are ansi standards for gear so we can trust them.
Will the spikes be harmful to the tree? It isn't very deep, but i wonder if it'll damage the tree somewhat
Yes spurs are very harmful to the trees. It leaves wounds in the tree. They are only recommended for tree removal.
I’ll barely go up a latter to put Christmas lights on it’s scary up there 😅
It's a tough job man ..haha
If the tree isn’t being removed don’t spike up it, I’m not sure how palms behave because they’re technically grass but actual trees really do not like long metal spikes going into them 😂
This video was posted 9 months ago. Is the owner of the channel still alive ? Theres no way in hell i would climb pver 10 feet with that gear. All its good for is a Halloween costume.. safety costs more than that. 😂
If you don't weigh 800kg cheap gear is safe...been using them for almost a decade.and I only weigh 78kg...can stay on the tree whole day if need to 🤘😆
Awesome
Dont anyone do this to prune a tree, the only time you use spikes is on a full dismantle. The tree now has a wound for every single step he has taken.
No shade no fruit. Cut it down.
You think he should just replace it with a few fruit trees
