In Sweden it's required by law that you have a 45 minute lunch break so that's at least 8 hours 45 minutes. Even if you work from home it's expected that you log in to and is ready at whatever system you have at work before you actually start work which can be considered the "commute"

Others feel it is unfair that they are now "burdened" and did not get their "storybook ending." I've never been in that position, so I do not think I can say I would never do this, but I like to believe I would be better than that.

    • "I do not think I can say I would never do this, but I like to believe I would be better than that." Rose... I say this intending you no unkindness, only asking that you reflect on what I'm saying. As an autistic and ADHD person who might have suffered a similar fate if I'd been born in different circumstances, I expect more from you than liking to believe you'd be better. It sounds like you want to be a good person, which is wonderful, but I cannot stress this enough - if you're not sure whether you'd prefer to have a disabled child or a dead one, you are not meeting the absolute minimum requirement for being a good _human_ . Again, no unkindness meant

      @iiiiitsmagreta1240@iiiiitsmagreta1240Ай бұрын
    • @@iiiiitsmagreta1240 I get the sentiment, but I was more referring to things that YT doesn't like us to talk about. Until it happens, we don't know how we would respond. "How can you forget they are in the car?" for example comes up a lot. Just because one family doesn't become sleep-deprived/delirious/forgetful does not mean another will not. Some mothers may have changes that they cannot "fix" afterward and some of those take time to develop or are masked. PPD is one concern. Or one, or both parents, are so (redacted) that they truly "want their storybook" life. My own 'Egg giver was like that, with multiple partners. Something I truly wish to never become like. But, I acknowledge it can never be 100% assured. I have never been put into that position. So I do not know how I would respond until I am.

    • fr! down syndrome isn't something to literally GIVE UP a child over!!

      @sausageIsAnAbomination@sausageIsAnAbominationАй бұрын
    • I think that is up to each individual in a family. Not everyone is ready to cope/live with a child that is disabled (be it for financial reasons or not having the patience to deal with it... since not everyone is suited to live or work with disabled people). The mother probably didn't want to abort so as to give the baby a chance at life, but not be responsible to look after it for the rest of her life (which can happen with some disabilities - the kids grow up physically, but will rely on their parents for the rest of their lives, while able-bodied kids "grow up" and become independent). Now, this is something that probably should have been discussed from the very beginning to make sure you and your partner are on the same wavelength. But I don't think it's wrong to divorce someone just because their life plans don't align with your own. Whether you or anyone else would have made that same decision is ultimately irrelevant, since it's not our life. But I don't think the mother is bad for choosing a different life. And the baby now has her wonderful birth-father who will love and cherish her.

      @Windmelodie@WindmelodieАй бұрын

  • 13:13 If I had sons&daughters I'd send both my sons AND daughters to BOTH of those lessons. Honestly, it seems to me that those lessons are just a bit more useful to the opposite gender. For instance: Who benefits more from fighting? Girls, because they are more likely to be assaulted. Who benifts more from pink? Boys, so they can build up true confidence rooted in vulnerability and humility. Who benefits more from bleeding? Girls, who have to suffer that BS every month. Who benefits more from ballet? Boys, so they can learn how to emotionally express themselves in a beautiful and constructive manner. Honestly both Girls and Boys benefit from groaning and long hair equally. But you get my point. You should give ALL your kids BOTH lessons.
