This will be one of the first Planetary Defense Major Order's we have actually completed by the way, so this is a lot more meaningful then I think a lot of people realize.
Have you seen how red the map is. Feels like we are back at the beginning of the war😅

I did a retrieve on bots yesterday. OMG it was insane. Divers dropped in and saw how insane it was and left. One Chad stayed after dropping in late in the mission and helped till the end.
Once you know how to fight bots it’s not bad. Get weapons that can stagger the devastators, a personal fav of mine is the punisher pump shotgun because it is good at staggering the shield guys and is forgiving with aim
They dropped the rate of growth for bot planets to 0%, which really helped the MO defense missions on those planets. 💙
Joel is a quantum supercomputer... The only adversary worthy of the Helldivers... 💙
Just have to be careful with saying who they are in anything. I mean we all say Joel is the enemy but just takes 1 crazy person to make things go south real quick

@@djpony3985The bots aren’t even the harder faction. They are easy compared to the other two factions we haven’t seen yet. For all the people saying the bots are hard and this or that are in for a world of pain and are far from ready. The bugs and bots are simply the tip of the iceberg.

Factory striders can be a real menace on defense missions. I've learnt the hard way as well you've gotta whack their turrets as soon as they drop. That or you can distract them with a few shots (of freedom) and martyr yourself like a true citizen. 💙
Have one person with a stack of quasars just swapping them out lol fire swap fire swap, 😂 it's hilariously op
freaking things need at least 2 rail cannon strikes to kill it from what I've seen plus we'd also been shooting it at weak points before those strikes so they might need 3 for all I know. It was the first and only time I killed one and it was pretty damn memorable.
I love the extract missions with 8 rocket launches, but the fact that bots having direct LoS to the generators on the map being shown in the CloudPlays gameplay is my main issue. I dropped in on a lvl 9 one and someone in my squad landed on one of the generators to which i left right away. I love this game, but sometimes we're our own worst enemy based on the rules of physics implemented in the game 🤣 💙💙
Literally did this earlier tonight, we still beat it, the 15 minute evacuate civilians mission was impossible though

Should give the NPC a shield so they at least dont die from a single shot of a bot. Or put some static shield-generators around the bases so that protects them against far away shots. Thats something that could be helpful in general, to give these research stations at least some kind of defensive structures.
Aren’t all super earth citizens supposed to have some sort of combat ability by lore? The tips even state that it is better to fight to the death than die a coward, yet these civs keep fleeing and don’t even attempt to defend themselves in the slightest

Tell that to the one that landed on top of the hill on the new defense mission and proceeded to bug into the wall and shoot us without us being able to shoot him back. He eventually came out of the mountain but it almost lost us the mission

@@ArkhonXIX had 2 hulk flamers stuck in a wall near our extract, only 1 man made it past the flames and into the ship. Shit sucked ass.
@ArkhonXIX lol same happened to me! They bugged into the wall and never came out, think a couple other bots landed in there and just was a pain but man having an invincible turret was just a nightmare, but we Helldive for a reason!
@@jeffsorrows still found a way though didn’t we? Just repositioned our line to stay out of LOS and held on for the last two rockets. CQB near the end but got it done

They've been adjusting the numbers to make the Major Order doable. Not only did the Automaton resistance go from retaking 1% of the planets per hour to 0% per hour, but the "health" of planets went down considerably as well. We started off with planets that had 400-500K health and by the end they had 200-300K. Pretty sure the time was also extended due to that "communication relay" issue.
I thought they specifically wanted us to lose this one. Wonder what changed their minds. I wasnt sure if they tweaked something, but i thought of it because last time I saw we only had six planets
@@Nemo.404 It looked like that for me at first too. Maybe the low player numbers on Monday made them realize that people lose motivation to play when success is so out of reach.
I think they simply just felt like they lost some good will with the playerbase, and wanted to try to restore some of that good will.
The civilians escort mission is an absolute nightmare, what I found helps is if 2 people run around on the outskirts of the map, looking for samples or whatever, making the bots spawn near them, while 2 others complete the objective. 💙
thats the reason i dont like how easy some of thoose objectives is if some one just takes the entire aggro of the map . the possibility alone ruin such pve games for me
What about the scripted bot drops? Doesn’t it just spawn them regardless? Do you have to snipe them to get their Aggro to the outskirts? I know it scripts bot drops once you start the evac.
Have 3 people run around the map instead, while the other one just basically gets the civilians. Remember though, if you’re the one getting the civilians, do not call any stratagems. Otherwise you’re going to aggro some enemies.
Or just complete the objective and then run, hit the doors as soon as u drop, then call in whatever u use.. complete then sample hunt , you should have ample time.
@@thisguy8373 The point is to have as little players as possible at the objective's location, otherwise you get swarmed.

After diving in defense mission in Oshaune I noticed it was a beautiful planet 💙 That may be one of the obsession for us divers fighting the bugs
I just prefer fighting bugs since they're less tanky, aren't shooting me from across the map, and I can use a Stalwart with greater success against them. I do still go to automatons to help with major orders though.
Bots have the same planet, I think most people don't like bots because they require more thought to play against.

Liberations counts toward the defense goal ,number nine was Vernon Wells. If there is a planet on the map that is close to liberation hit that, but as of now we are leading in the defense of Ustotu.
Misinformation, liberations do not count toward this Defense Major Order. Defense campaigns do, hence the name Defense. I'm not sure how so many people got this confused...

It's funny how Retrieve Essential Personnel mission is harder against bots, but the new Asset Retrieval mission is way more difficult against bugs, mainly because both Chargers and Bile Titans just punch through the gates in one hit, which leads to the faster bugs to swarms the next line of defence rinse and repeat. Bots are at least relatively slow so you can deal with 3 Factory Striders and still have breathing room to clear out whatever is coming with them but 3 Bile Titans with any amount of Chargers on top and you're pretty much done.

💙 I think the main dif increase in the retrieve personnel on bots is the fact that dropships drop inside any defence perimeter easily, while bugs have a harder time spawning a bug breach inside the defences

Retrieve Essential Personnel missions are easy once you realize that the team isn't supposed to fight in the compound, but rather they are supposed to draw the fight away from the compund while ONE player QUIETLY opens the fridges. All the aggro should be pulled outside the compound and strung out on the perimeter, which is why all the samples are out there.
I was diving on Varilya last night just doing a few diff 2s to get the personal order done. I noticed even on 2 there were a ton of elites. An exterminate at diff 2 had me facing at once at least 15 devastators, normal ones so nothing scary. I just thought it was neat
