It’s not technically matchmaking. He’s bringing together people who were already married, this seems more like a form of couple’s therapy. They were both married to one another, just alternate versions of one another. This seems difficult to explain, but perhaps the best way to describe it is it’s similar to the ending of ‘The One’ with Jet Li and Jason Statham.

In Scorpians MK11 ending, he was battling titans to try and get his family back. Blinded by his own rage he never thought about infinite possibilities. It must have been a relief when he found his wife again. Only in that timeline, he died and she became scorpion. Now Harumi Shirai is now apart of the Mortal Kombat universe as opposed to being background lore, I cant wait to see what the future has for her. And Im glad Scorpion can finally be happy. The couples that slay together, stay together.

I can't help but think that they wouldn't get together. Like, I imagine they would absolutely be very close, but I dont think they would see it "that way." They are not a replacement for each other's lost love; they are commiserating over the fact they're both survivors, full of righteous fury.

the scorpion from mk11's ending and this scorpion aren't the same person lol. The one from mk11 is slaying TITANS which are above kronika level and it doesnt say anything about him travelling timelines to find a harumi to rebuild his family. That scorpion is basically the kratos of the verse, This current one is not explained in detail but it can't be the one from mk11's scorpion ending
I know it’s very unlikely but I would like them to make the Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion a dlc character. If not that then at least a skin for the Kuai Liang Scorpion that changes his voice lines to that of Hanzo. I like the idea of Kuai Liang as Scorpion in this timeline but Hanzo just has that classic rage that makes him the true Scorpion

Well some classic character has been generation swapped. We also have a Sindel that’s supposedly significantly older than Shao Khan (since she implies that she is already Queen when he is just a sickly little kid) and consequently a Kitana and Meleena that has nothing to do with Shao, if not on the same age/older than him. I actually kinda like this. Nice to have things twisted up a bit but still remain mostly recognizable. I think chances r the Kuai Liang scorpion may somehow been turned into Noob Saibot as the Bi Han Sub Zero is committed with no magic full science by the end of tower mode, so chances r Lin Kuei is going full Cyborg next game / dlc, and we will have a Bi Han Cyborg instead of the Bi Han Noob Saibot, he might ended up killing Kuai Liang who turned into Noob by someone somehow. This will make an interesting twist since the brothers continue to swap position in story. This also means young Hanzo will take over scorpion mettle. We can still have the angry scorpion but instead of losing his wife, it will be losing his mentor who might as well be his adopted father. I am wondering more on how they gonna deal with Takeda who is coming in the dlc. He was meant to be Hanzo Scorpion’s pupil but now Shirai Ryu is literally just established and Kuai Liang Scorpion is training the kid Hanzo, where does it leave him?
@@GGWP-gm5cq People have been theorising that this Hanzo will become Tundra. Kuai Liang's identity before Bi Han died and took his place as Sub-Zero. Or he might become Sub-Zero. Though I doubt the second one. I understand the twists and changes. But you still miss some of the original stuff you know? Also I believe Smoke may or may not become Enemra again, it's implied more than once in the intro dialogues.

It would be really funny, since Hanzo in this new timeline is an student of Kuai Liang in the new Shirai Ryu, the fact that there’s a posibility that Quan Chi take Bi-Han’s form and kills Harumi, Kuai Liang and their clan so Hanzo looks for revenge AGAIN. Hanzo is destined to suffer apparently

He considers *Scorpion* a danger. I personally believe the mantle of "Scorpion" is unchangeable in it's nature. This is likely the Scorpion from the end of the original timeline. We know they plucked Shao Khan. "My venom spreads" (to me) implies it hard. Scorpion at the end, during the Battle of Armegedon, is the second most powerful iteration of Scorpion. The most powerful is *easily* Quai Liang. If you didn't realize, he almost single handedly stopped not only Shang Tsung, Shao, Bi-Han, Rain, Quan Chi, Havik; he even almost stopped *Onaga.* Those fools trying to screw with the Dragon King's Army is key to the prophecy. We also know there's a reason they kill the shapeshifters, there just must be. And I personally believe it's because of said prophecy. Now Shang Tsung's got a well of souls to tap and potentially open up The Heavens. ...And half a million fresh souls are for the taking. Thanks Havik.

In his Mk11 Ending, Scorpion fights basically the other titans who caused the death of Harumi in each universe. So yeah, he is a threat.

Im glad they gave Hanzo a good ending, but I was kinda hoping that there would be a dlc level where he was the villain wanting revenge on Lui Kang. I do hope in the next game Hanzo is the main scorpion and not Kuai Liang.

Hanzo is a Teenager in MK 1. He became the First Initiate of the Shirai Ryu Clan founded by Kuai Liang, (Tomas) Smoke, and Harumi Shirai. It's shown on Smoke's Arcade Ladder Ending.
Hes's now a kid, being trained by Kuai Liang and Smoke, as the first Shirai Ryu student

Nah man this Scorpion is the most powerful of them all. He one shot Bi-Han. He one shot Shang Tsung. He got Shao into a headlock to break off his chains, beat the hell out of Shao, then defeats Rain. Then Havik. Then Bi-Han, again. His worst injury? Burning his hands a bit. The reason this Scorpion isn't immune to fire as you'd think is because he's not using Hellfire, or an amulet like Raiden. He just has a very refined skill with pyromancy.

Is similar to the MKA ending where Scorpion demanded from the Elder Gods as a paymanent for fullfilling to be their grand champion to ressurect his family and clan but to his shock they were ressurected as revenants
This is why I believe Kuai Liang will be the one to take out Onaga. He single handedly stopped Onaga from being released early. Not even Titan Shang Tsung knows how much he was screwing with with that army... The moment the last soul enters the last soldier's body, Onaga *will* come back. If you were the Elder Gods, unable to interfere with this due to the risk of the One Being waking up, and saw this *mortal Earthrealmer* doing what should be impossible, you would want him as your champion. If he killed *one* of them, just one, things wouldn't have fallen apart so much and so soon. He almost bashed Bi-Han's brains in with his handcuffs actually. He went *straight* to kill Bi-Han when he was betrayed.

This is not the Spectre Scorpion you think actually. This is almost absolutely Hanzo of the *first* timeline. An Elder God amped Scorpion with the power of Blaze stacked on top. The one who never got to see the Fire Gardens again. The one who's clan was revived as undead parodies because the Elder Gods are cruel.

Hanzo in this timeline is a child, who Smoke recruits into joining the Shirai Ryu. So yeah, Hanzo is now being taught by Smoke, Scorpion and Harumi.

This feels like a sort of cop out for some one realizing they literally made kuai into scorpion in every single way down to giving him harumi and that that was a weird choice after adding that smoke found current day new scorpion. Like this sounds like a reason for the current time invander hanzo to have an exscuse to not turn evil because hanzo scorp was given a version of harumi back. New young hanzo has been given a villain origin if i have ever seen one
My brother and I instantly thought of so many ways this can lead Hanzo down the dark path. From him seeing Harumi and Kuai as parents and Bi Han killing them to him falling in love with her despite the age gap causing tension between the group, or someone informing Hanzo of the fact that Kuai Liang basically stole his entire life. Lots of ways this can go wrong
@@TREVORVADER Its half a sort of greek tragedy waiting to happen. All of the work to change hanzo/scorpion from mkX was redone in mk11, and for what? Then it was redone again in mk1 and where does that leave us? With Kuai liang being given everything of scorpions except his son, a time dimension lost scorpion with a alter dimension harumi and a young mainline time hanzo being raised by the guy who has everything that should be his. Who is writing this stuff? Some one who saw the revent movies and lore so heavily based around scorpion and deciding that he needed to be removed from the spot light or knocked down a peg? Sorry but thats your writers fault for making him everywhere and semi destroying the characters history is a messed up way of fixing insane writing. The only way i see this sort of fixing itself is if they do some sort romeo and juliet story and have hanzo get with frost and hoping they do something to give those two a happy ending.

Smoke's tower ending brings a teenaged Hanzo Hasashi into the Shirai Ryu. He's too young to marry Harumi in this timeline, and with Kuai Liang being Scorpion... well she ended up marrying him instead. Harumi seems to always be destined to either marry or become Scorpion, no matter who Scorpion is.

And once I watched him absolutely clean house after Bi-Han's betrayel I went to myself "wait a second..." By putting Quai Liang in that role... An alive Scorpion was created, who is more powerful than an MK Deception, Elder God amped Spectre Scorpion. Which is the *most* powerful he ever got. Kuai Liang almost saved all of existence while he was bound in chains. He 100% stalled Onaga's return. Imagine being the Elder Gods, watching this calamity unfolding. And one guy starts on his knees and in binds, then proceeds to clean the clock of both Bi-Han and Shang Tsung in *ONE STRIKE.* He actually two birds, one stone'd them. And then went to bash in Bi-Hans brain. I want to hear the words "Scorpion, the True Champion of the Elder Gods" again. The image of Onaga being King Piccolo'd, and the quote have lived rent free in my head for my entire life.
@@XXMatt0040XX Kuai Liang was always one of my favourite characters in all of Mortal Kombat. And most of that time he was Sub-Zero. Him being Scorpion in this timeline was most definitely an adjustment... especially considering Hanzo Hasashi was also one of my favourite Mortal Kombat characters. But this timeline did make me accept and embrace Kuai Liang as Scorpion.
