    • The film is 4 minutes long man. That's how it works; it's a snippet of a world, a narrative, a character. It doesn't have the benifit of a full feature length. It doesn't need to spoon feed you every waking detail. You should be able to fill the gaps yourself. Perhaps a lot is best left ambigious. Perhaps the film maker just wanted to make a really enjoyable sequence, with no desire to dig any deeper. And perhaps your comments are just overally critical and kind of mean spirited.

    @DearHenryA@DearHenryA3 ай бұрын
    • This is a nice detail. Many sword warriors grabbed the blade of their swords in the German medieval and renaissance traditions especially. See Paulus Hector Mair and Talhoffer also. It is called "half-sword" (halb schwert, iirc...) and combatant knights in full plate armor used it extensively like a mini-spear for delivering strong thrusts to weak points in the opponents armor, such as the visor slit, the armpits, and into the wrist from the back of the gauntlet. You can also check out Christian Henry Tobler's book, Secrets of German Medieval Swordsmanship if you are so inclined. Cheers 😁👍

    @tystuff1@tystuff13 ай бұрын
    • Have you tried to think in juxtapositions? Imagine yourself in Goliath's place... You're walking through the woods... You're not touching anyone! Suddenly you hear an ant squeaking... You pay attention to him and want to catch him... and the ant suddenly starts jumping from hand to hand and freezes. And so you bring it closer to examine it, and this asshole suddenly bites you right in the eye! In my opinion, is the story quite plausible? As a result, you are taken to the hospital, and this fucking ant becomes the hero of the other ants and they make up a story about him that he defeated you! And you live and you don't even know...

  • This make no sense other than the big giant robot committed Suicide by Sword Girl. The robot has obvious battle scars and signs of opponent attacks. It is therefore battle savvy. So why would it take an obvious enemy and place it within jumping distance of it's one weak spot. There are also nit picky things like 1) you can't unsheathe a sword stuffed on your back, 2) That's not how the physics of swinging on a rope works, & 3) falling 150 plus feet can't be countered with a simple tuck and roll.
