  • Dr Montgomery is exactly right! It took 2 months for my taste buds to change, but it was SO WORTH IT 😆 Vegetables started tasting like candy! I SO prefer whole food plant based eating now. On top of that, I’ve lost 25 lbs staying FULL ! I always related losing weight with being hungry and suffering, but I haven’t suffered at all. Just the opposite! I’m finally able to get full and still lose weight, and THATS WITH Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis! Unbelievable 😆 I do admit to planning cheat days for birthdays and holidays, but I don’t overdo because it will actually make me feel sick the next day! Wasn’t expecting that either! I know some people can’t cheat at all due to food addictions, which is optimal anyway. My cheats aren’t often though. Maybe once every few months. If you’re tired of being hungry, try whole food plant based eating! 💜

  • I have been taking Ozempic and found it to be true that I lost weight, was constipated, never a problem before use, severely nauseated from time to time a day or two after use and I stop using it for a moment and the weight came back and the A1C went up higher that it had ever been. I monitored myself by always asking my doctor for my numbers. Most doctors feel challenged when you ask a lot of questions. They act reluctant when you ask for your numbers. I changed my diet and by way of elimination, not cold turkey, but one item at a time. First all meat, most breads and crackers, still working on occasional dairy( butter on a baked potato or an occasional bread roll) and sugar is definitely a struggle. Even sugar is occasional for me. Trying to increase my exercise in different ways. Mostly water aerobics. Thank you for all your hard work Dr. B.

  • Thank you for speaking out about this. I wish you did this five years ago. It is greatly needed for those who believe in healing through unadulterated and raw food with no pesticides or herbicides and medicine only as wmergency intervention. Do you have any dr resources in GA? And then are the foods that our vitamins and minerals and drugs are extracted from containing these cides? Is it tested? I see nothing on the labeling. Are the vitamins and minerals we buy heat processed thereby changing the moleculae structure and/or nutrient value of the product? How often are the dieticians food value charts updated for nutritional content? For example, I heard that broccoli may have contaoned around 25 mg of iron in the early 1900's and now we are lucky if it contains 2 mg. If the food nutritional value charts state thatt foods contain certain dosages of certain nutrients, is it cooked or raw or what? Then, does the FDA mandate farmers and raw food producers and sellers to have that dosage and nutrient contents? I believe in the venefits of raw food but can't seem to find any standards, laws, and rules on US produced crops and imported crops. This must have an effect on this movement.

    • I have spent a year going back and forth with my elderly father's doctor to reduce his BP medications (they have him on FIVE). We ran out of Losartin and did not refill. His BP has been 111 over 58 with pulse at 50. He is frequently complaining of no energy. This week, I firmly insisted that they address his quality of life. Doctor starte listing long list of side effects of these medications. It would have been good to tell my dad this 20 years ago!! Anyway, he agreed that heart rate and BP were too low. Omitted Losartan and reduced amlodipine. It has been like pulling teeth to get strategies to take my father off of this stuff. The nutritional changes we've made have (I believe) causes him not to need these meds.

  • Really enjoyed this show the only thing I’m struggling with is a whole microwave thing. My husband has no choice but to cook his food at work in the microwave. We are not cooking it in the microwave we just reheat our food in the microwave. And when I’ve made certain foods are really hard to reheat in a pan so we count on the microwave. So that’s really upsetting to me that there was talk about it maybe causing issues. We don’t stand right in front of it because we know that’s not good but I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t use the microwave so that was kind of upsetting to me. But other than that we’re on a plant-based and I totally believe in everything the doctor was saying about health in a plant-based diet. I just never heard anything about a microwave being bad to heat your food in.
