Itachi is incredibly Intelligent and Has Much Better Genjutsu than Jiraiya. Although Jiraiya has him in the Chakra and Stamina. Jiraiya would have trouble with Itachi's Susanoo, Because of the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror. The Yata Mirror isn't omnidirectional so Jiraiya could use a Sage Super Odama Rasengan and Destroy the Susanoo from behind. But the Totsuka Blade is a giant problem. But Jiraiya could keep his distance. Jiraiya wins this one. Sage Jiraiya VS Edo Itachi. Itachi wins Low~Mid Difficulty. He's Immortal and Relative to KCM Naruto and Killer Bee. KCM Naruto would dick on Pain. So... Itachi wins this. Sage Jiraiya VS Healthy Alive Itachi. Well Minus the Immortality this is just a stronger Edo Itachi. So Itachi wins Low~Mid Difficulty.

Considering that the 9 trails saved him from dying from the 8th gate, it would presumably mean he can do the 7th gate nearly indefinitely because of the regenerative power, and even the 8th gate could go for longer (though not indefinitely). And he is not great at Ninjutsu, but he's not Lee. He can use summoning jutsu, which is not considered a beginner jutsu. But heis a taijutsu specialist, yeah.

With just 2 or 3 ranks being stronger. Now a crippled side character is considered "High Jonin." Kinda just undervalues Jonins as a whole ngl.

The Ashura Path is the same Path that tore Sage Jiraya's Arm Off and slightly pressured him and the Deva Path is the same Pain that casually beat Sage Naruto. Madara was able to use a full Susan'o before he became the 10 tails Jinchuriki and Gai was able to almost kill him in his Jinchuriki mode. I think people in the comments misunderstand the 8th gate. As Madara wanted to test its power and gai needed the help of: rock lee, Kakashi and Minato to land a hit on madara and that’s when Madara let him do it. Then Naruto comes up in 6 paths sage mode and scares madara with a lava style giant rasengan and pushes him around with ease Plus he can only do the 8th gate for a short period of time

Madara was almost just as afraid of Gai but he knew that he has his truth seeker orbs to defend against him which he did try to use against every single one of Gai's attacks. He was visibly more afraid of Naruto cuz latter was immune to truth seeker orbs, Madara's main defence. Gai needed help with TSOs in the fight cuz only sages can touch it. Tbf no one even still could use their kicks to climb the air like a staircase and bend space with a kick, or create air canons with fists. That's the physical raw power no one yet has surpassed. So Gai didn't really have less power compared to Naruto.
It‘s true that he needed help, but so did kakashi against kaguya.
