  • When is the world going to understand that West Ham fans don't want Moyes out because we think we should be higher in the league or because we think we are going to suddenly win more and more trophies. In all liklihood, we aren't ! We aren't good enough or a big enough player in this league to ever really be in the conversation on a regular basis. Moyes plays absolutely dour football. We had 1 shot against 33 last night, in a quarter final. On this one occasion I think playing a more conserative approach was the right thing to do, but to offer absolutely nothing going forward was awful. Leverkusen are a great side who play attacking football, but they are not the World Class team everyone is making them out to be. They had more shots than we had possession last night. If this was a one off, we could swallow it. In the last 4 games in all compeitions. We have given up, 84 shots on our goal. We have the 4th worst defensive record in the entire league and at one point about a month or so ago we had something like the 5th worst average possession stat in the top 5 leagues in Europe. We don't want Moyes out because we are ungrateful for the good things he has done. We are extremely grateful (well I am at least), but all the good teams progress and move forward. They build on their squads and their successe and as things stand, whilst the league table may look good, it papers over some very large cracks within our club. Why are we criticised so heavily for demanding improvements? Why are we abused and called deluded for wanting to be entertained and have our players let off the leash a bit? We don't care if its Moyes that changes the style or someone else. The only reason the anger/discontent against Moyes exists is because he is so stubborn. We have seen examples of when he does let them off the leash that we can be so good going forward. But then he reverts to type again. So whether its Moyes at the helm or someone else, all we are asking for is to have something more exciting to watch than a low block, counter attacking team. Which apparently is absolutely fine for Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton, Leicester in recent years to have, but nope, West Ham fans should get back in their box and should not ask/wish for improvement as we are a deluded fan base. Rant over..... 😂😂

End result is a bland narrative that gets trotted out ad infinitum. They just see 7th and base everything in that. Deep dive the real detail though and EVERYTHING about us screams a relegation team with a coach who has a relegation mentality. His apex, his nadir, his pinnacle was the culmination of last season. That's when U release a coach and bring in another to move it up a level. I said he should have been removed two days after the victory parade. The vast majority of the fanbase saw this coming. Our league performances and style have been just as bad as last year but due to the abject mediocrity of the league this year we haven't been punished. Nothing has improved from last year. It's copy and paste. In fact our squad depth is worse which will see us, in my opinion, needing 6 new players for our first eleven next year. To be in that position is a gross dereliction of duty from Moyes.

  • There are two camps. One love and value and care about football. Then there is the other camp.. They are just into the results business - profit and losses. They are unimaginative accountants. They think David Moyes is the greatest manager that has ever existed at LITTLE West Ham. They value results over style of play. They don't care about the history or reputation of the club (which is being decimated day by day). They don't care about the ever increasing pool of players who don't want to play for us because of our dubious reputation. They don't care about the players that are destroyed at West Ham yet thrive, when they move elsewhere - Scamacca and Haller both scored in European football this week. They think we are a nothing team, and are asking for things way above our station. After all, we should be grateful for our bowl of gruel and enjoy like little Oliver Twist. Be careful what you wish for Oliver, that champagne, turkey and pate fois de gras is not for you boy. - that's for special clubs. But you can never be that, so be a good kid; mind your P's and Q's and eat your slop. And yes David Moyes style of football is slop. It's pure grind. It's straight out of a Victorian workhouse. Turgid and tedious and without skill and minutes crawl into hours. And if you enjoy that and relish that moral cowardice - then you should not be watching football. You should be in a sado massochist's torture chamber enjoying all the delights of being stretched and flailed and boiled alive while having your teeth pulled out. If you actually like and enjoy the football under David Moyes you are not right in the head ...I seriously mean that.

  • Moyes' squad building has been atrocious. We play a system that requires a lot of concentration, and an explosive reaction to opposition mistakes. It's a deceptively physically demanding way to play, but he's put together one of the smallest and oldest squads in the league. Every single injury or suspension results in a total reshuffling of the midfield because we don't have good enough backups for key positions, we've been bringing in striker after striker who don't fit the system for years, and our only remaining left winger is now 4th choice behind the backup right back. I've also lost count of the times that we haven't even made substitutes before the 80th minute, because Moyes doesn't trust his bench. Leverkusen were able to rest 6 or 7 players in their last league match, and their substitutes changed the game against us. We simply can't do that reliably. After four years in charge, Moyes has nobody else to blame for us being so threadbare in terms of adequate depth. We're the 18th richest club in the world. Filling out a full squad of capable cover should be a given, but he has utterly failed at it. And it's especially important with the knowledge that we've had three years of European competition and the extra demands on the squad that inevitably come with that.

  • Losing two nil isn’t the issue, at least try and have a go doing it would be acceptable but we set up to lose and lose we did, great tactic that worked, a genius manager! Also, the only reason we got into Europe was because they changed the criteria to get in, without that we wouldn’t be there now.

  • I like Simon but he is an idiot here. Yes Moyes delivered three European campaigns and a trophy and we are forever thankful for that but he serves up some right dross. You can't even call him a defensive manager anymore with the amount of goals conceded in the PL. He doesn't know how to manage players as you can see from how well some of those who left are doing elsewhere. I grew up watching John Lyall's sides. Yes there were wo relegations but I always admired John sticking to his philosophy and the football was at least played in the right way, entertaining. Even under Harry it was a rollercoaster but fun,. Moyes just serves up 10 men behind the ball and try and nick a goal, and that's not even working. I'd quite happily take 10th with no European football if the football was decent to watch.

    @chrisab66@chrisab66Ай бұрын
  • If they win the European trophy and finish 5th in league it will send Man United into the Champions League if they can secure 6th place,therefore,Moyes will then have a better success rate of getting Man United into CL as West Ham manager than when he was actually at the club 😂😂😂😂😂

I don’t know what this guy from Tipp is on ? Clearly he is easily pleased, and knows how to grovel. He must have forgotten the league form last season, just avoiding relegation with two world class midfielders worth almost £200M between them. Took some real hammerings as well. as for Jordan’s comment on Anderson, he was streets ahead of Benramha that Moyes signed for 25M, not to mention Vlasic for 28M, Ings 13.5M Cornet 17M. Never used by our great tactician. Makes me wonder why they were signed in the first place? Not to forget to mention “ Be careful for what you wish for “😂😂

  • 2-0 was a good outcome would have taken that before last night, I feared a spanking. Moyes took us away from relegation, took us back into it, won a trophy, its been a rollercoaster but he has spent the thick end of 500m in that time on players. I think the first eleven ability ceiling is higher than Moyes's ability ceiling and they carry him on occasions when he dithers on the touchline. The other issue is all that money spent and we have a bench full of U-23s because he flogs the hell out of that first eleven each week so no surprise we have little or no cover whenever we get an injury. Lets see where we finish in the league this year, it could easily be bottom half as we have tough fixtures coming up and have only won 3 times in 2024 so form is off a cliff...
