I dunno why, but there's something just...I dunno, *_eerie_* about his NP having no music when there's no voicelines. It feels sort of artistic while also being kinda flashy like you'd expect from FGO a lot, but...just mostly silence as he initiates the attack and vanishes...god, it feels chilling.

Honestly, opposite, for a martial arts master that has spent all his life focused on hand-to-hand combat, he only has two martial arts-related animations, very disappointed, I thought we were gonna get a Type-Mook version of Yuji from JJK, oh well, the Joke animations are kinda funny the first time, I'll give it that.

@KellyCalKelsey it makes sense why since that aspect of Soujirou isn't something that he really shows off or takes pride in, because well the whole point is that his martial arts skills are basically assassination techniques that get the job done when it needs to be done without being flashy or showy off. It's just practical and efficient really.

@@KellyCalKelseybut I don't think losing it is a priority either servants are still human in almost all cases. Considering that most of the servants that come from other type moon games are basically the same characters after their games, it would make less sense for Soujirou to suddenly start using his martial art techniques for everything since by the time he meets Aoko and Alice he's already started to adjust to his new life where those assassination techniques aren't needed any more. It's not like Iori where his sword techniques are his way of living and he desires those things, or Shiki where assassination techniques get used across his entire time during Tsukihime it's more of a after thought that was part of the way that he used to live before he became an individual due the circumstances of his environment rather than something he actively seeks out and hones really.

The one time he "did fight" he does so with a couple of extremely hard-hitting blows that ends the bout, him dying is the result of Touko killing him after the act.

Honestly, opposite, for a martial arts master that has spent all his life focused on hand-to-hand combat, he only has two martial arts-related animations, very disappointed, I thought we were gonna get a Type-Mook version of Yuji from JJK, oh well, the Joke animations are kinda funny the first time, I'll give it that.
@KellyCalKelsey it makes sense why since that aspect of Soujirou isn't something that he really shows off or takes pride in, because well the whole point is that his martial arts skills are basically assassination techniques that get the job done when it needs to be done without being flashy or showy off. It's just practical and efficient really.

Considering that most of the servants that come from other type moon games are basically the same characters after their games, it would make less sense for Soujirou to suddenly start using his martial art techniques for everything since by the time he meets Aoko and Alice he's already started to adjust to his new life where those assassination techniques aren't needed any more. It's not like Iori where his sword techniques are his way of living and he desires those things, or Shiki where assassination techniques get used across his entire time during Tsukihime it's more of a after thought that was part of the way that he used to live before he became an individual due the circumstances of his environment rather than something he actively seeks out and hones really.

These animations do not do him justice, he is the physically strongest Type Moon protagonist, I’m honestly a bit miffed they made all his animations joke centric, it would have been cool to see him pull up with some Yuji from JJK type shit.
@@KellyCalKelseyBecause that's what he actually does in his origin lol. He doesn't outright attack and he's usually the target of collateral whenever Aoko & Alice bicker. The one time he "did fight" he does so with a couple of extremely hard-hitting blows that ends the bout, him dying is the result of Touko killing him after the act.
