Making a Daisy Dress - a cottagecore dress tutorial

I‘m back with a tutorial on my daisy dress! I didn’t intend to make a tutorial while making this dress, so it’s a little different style of video, but I hope it helps if you want to make your own! my goal for 2021 is to post consistently on youtube (right now I’m aiming for 2 videos a month) so hopefully you will be seeing more of me this year :)
This dress was inspired by the famous strawberry dress, made by Lirika Matoshli: lirikamatoshi.com/products/st...

Supplies I used for this dress:
4 yds daisy tulle (though I recommend getting 5!)
3 yds Ivory tulle
1-2yds satin lining
1 yd chiffon
1.5 yds lace trim
Invisible zipper
1/4 inch white elastic
The basic sewing and camera equipment I use!

    • Yes! It's great skill to get into and easy to learn. In fact, many years ago it was common for people to make their own clothes instead of buying them before the fast fashion industry became the norm. Sustainable too!

    • It may be a liiiittle ambitious for a first project, but there is no harm in trying! If the whole dress seems like a lot, just the skirt is a super doable beginner project!

When the strawberry dress came out, I literally told my mom “I want it but with daisies!!” And here you are making my dream a reality!! I've always loved the idea of creating clothes, but I suck at measurements and definitely don't have the time (or the energy) to learn a skill like that.     • The base is a satin lining fabric, but you can use whatever white/ivory fabric you like, it won’t really be seen! 💕

    • tulle doesn’t need to be hemmed, but all non tulle layers were hemmed or serged!

I wish I could try and recreate this, but I'm trying to stay away from buying anything made out of polyester or plastic in general, so it would get expensive :( I could maybe thrift a few pieces someday and try to use that fabric. Either way its lovely, and you explained the steps very well! And I LOVE to see some circle skirt action!
