  • I started watching this youtube channel this week, Feb 11, 2020. I honestly think this is quite brilliant. Even though that I thought he was a little too much with his comments, by watching more of his videos, I realized that he is genuine, talented, and have a lot of skills. When I saw him putting his hands to work and help the owners restore those magnificent ruins, barns, churches, and that ice house, i felt compassionate for all the work done. This channel, is more than just video recording ruins and old buildings, it's about emotion, feelings, friendship building and love for things that were gone, and restoring it through hardship, commitment, struggles, and positivity. Thank you for sharing such beautiful work with us.

  • I really think that in all these vids, that the 'sound engineers/editors' are having a laugh. As soon as someone starts speaking they are drowned out by 'muzak'. The sea-shanty at about 17:30 completely buried whatever George was saying. Incomprehensible.

  • The turquois, gold, pink and red ceiling is absolutely ghastly. What were they thinking?! It was truly beautiful before. Sad. I did take note that not once did George say it was beautiful. Instead, like a true diplomat, said it was unbelievable. My sentiments exactly. It is unbelievable with such an otherwise tastefully done interior that they could have done such a disservice to that incredible towering space. I do hope someone is honest enough with them to point out the gaudiness of it.

  • 1) “The roof was delayed by planning.” Planning yet again demonstrates its lack of real concern for these buildings. 2) George doesn’t come off well when he so readily talks down to a well-educated, experienced architect. If that is scripted - stop that. It’s unappealing.
