OH MY HEART ❤!! I have seen some majorly beautiful restorations over the years. But!! This is by far the most beautiful, breathtaking act of HEART and SOUL I have seen! Makes me want to see it in person. Just WOW!!
so much positivity from the owner.. that's what u need from a breathtaking and financial crisis restoration.
They’ve outdone themselves! What a brilliant transformation! I am in love with the kitchen. And George is a national treasure.
The best restoration I've seen so far. Amazing what they have done with this old church!
Poor Jackie, the lady who restored and lived there passed away January 27, 2017. May she rest in peace.
So sorry to hear. Her work and design live on.
I started watching this youtube channel this week, Feb 11, 2020. I honestly think this is quite brilliant. Even though that I thought he was a little too much with his comments, by watching more of his videos, I realized that he is genuine, talented, and have a lot of skills. When I saw him putting his hands to work and help the owners restore those magnificent ruins, barns, churches, and that ice house, i felt compassionate for all the work done. This channel, is more than just video recording ruins and old buildings, it's about emotion, feelings, friendship building and love for things that were gone, and restoring it through hardship, commitment, struggles, and positivity. Thank you for sharing such beautiful work with us.
My favorite so far! Absolutely beautiful.
This restoration was one of my favorites. The vision that this wonderful couple had is truly extrodinary. I love all the colors and light that now give a warm glow to their lives. May they have a long and happy life there.
This episode actually had me smiling a lot. What a lovely couple and what an extraordinary home. I love the playfulness that seeped into every room.
Jackie past away in 2017
This restoration turned out to be incredible. Another favorite. ❤
I love this one. It turned out so well. I wish I had thousands of gold stars on my ceiling.
I love your journey of architecture George, it is a comprehensive learning of people and the habitat. Thank you
I came across this purely by accident, but stayed to watch until the end. What a remarkable job and a wonderful event in this couple's life. I wish you many happy years of living in this lovely home. Well done!
Gorgeous renovation. Brilliant! Totally worth the commitment of time and money.
This restoration is beyond what I could have ever imagined or dreamed about! It brought tears to my eyes on emotion, it is just beautiful!!!
I love this show that you got to turn down the music it's a little bit too loud
I watch this episode over and over. Their choices of lighting fixtures and placement are phenomenal. I wonder (hope) the chandeliers in the entryway illuminate.
It is amazing the stairs they have to climb as they age! Thanks George for your series.
I live near Castle Coch. Great to see that it had inspired them.
Wow. Have you ever visited it? being in the "drawing room"? I knew about that castle until this episode. What a beautiful castle.
Yeah, wow. Imagine living in such an artistic place! It looks like a storybook home, it's amazing that it's real.
Phenomenal episode! Stunning result...I love the attention to the original design details. They definitely think out of the box in their decorating taste! I hope they lived happily in their new home. 🌻Thank you for sharing with the USA viewers❣🇺🇸
every time i watch one of these i fall in love with george all over again
This is a BRILLIANT redo. I love it. Thanks for sharing...
What a fun design. They really put their personality into their home.
This home is stunning, so well executed
What a beautiful person is George.
I really loved this episode and felt that it finished very early, Neil and Jackie are fantastic as they say it and agreeing with most of the comments decrease the background music (Noice) so that we can clearly listen to narration.
What a fantastic church conversion , certainly one of the best.
Great project! The will and determination of man is truly incredible! Job well done.
Why must the music be so much louder than the narrating and speaking?
sioframay I know. It’s annoying.
I thought it was just me... I have this issue with most of their videos.
@@215rosebud nah it's just bad sound mixing in editing.
Love these shows and of course George makes the frosting.
Fisherman's Church Brixham has a wonderful website with updates, charities, information, photos & sadly news of Jackie's death in 2017.
That is ABSOLUTELY WILD. BEAUTIFUL.
Every episode George chips in and the owner jokes "see you next week" or something. Every single time.
What’a guy to complete such a revel project!
My favorite restoration so far. Always nice to see.
Breathtaking, what a magnificent home you have created.
As others ave said Fix the sound the music is again too loud.
Beautiful! Great job
What a beautiful restoration done by a beautiful couple
My first thought when they were walking through the basement..."They should put in a glass floor upstairs to bring in the light!" And LOOK! They put a glass floor in upstairs to bring in more light! I should be an architect. LOL!
Stunning!
This was a majestic project
Overall a really beautiful transformation, with such original, and clever usage. I personally would not have used some of their colour palate, but, they really created a jewel.
Very touching. Thank you 🙏
hey turn up the background noise ,we can almost hear what they are saying .al
So true!
Another great restoration
Loving these shows, I just wish that whoever it was who did the editing, actually listened to it. Apart from the music being pointless and adding absolutely nothing to the show, it is far too loud, making it extremely difficult to hear what anyone was saying
FANTASTIC.
One of my favorites.
Fantastic!
I only watch this to see George.
7 years old, what does george look like now?
Yes, he’s cute
Really Great.. I just love the restoration n wish to live in a artistic home..
Beautifully designed
amazing house . love it . and right in the middle of brixham
Maravilhoso projeto ! 👏🏻👏🏻
Why do the Council Planning Processes seem to take forever in needless delays?
Exquisite!
Great music video !
What a great couple.
Gorgeous!
Sweet
( 26:26 the castle in Games of Thrones ) Lovely restoration!
I really think that in all these vids, that the 'sound engineers/editors' are having a laugh. As soon as someone starts speaking they are drowned out by 'muzak'. The sea-shanty at about 17:30 completely buried whatever George was saying. Incomprehensible.
Yes my favorite also!!!
wish we had buildings like this in the usa.
unfortunately Jackie has since past away. Jan 27 - 2017
Lee Neale oh so sad. RIP. 😪
The turquois, gold, pink and red ceiling is absolutely ghastly. What were they thinking?! It was truly beautiful before. Sad. I did take note that not once did George say it was beautiful. Instead, like a true diplomat, said it was unbelievable. My sentiments exactly. It is unbelievable with such an otherwise tastefully done interior that they could have done such a disservice to that incredible towering space. I do hope someone is honest enough with them to point out the gaudiness of it.
Magical is right .... very impressive
What is the site George takes them to in this episode?
I found the pillars kitsch and a bit of an overkill, but the rest of the house is absolutely beautiful
You showed so many pictures of different buildings, glad you finally got to what title stated
No CC?
Love
17:30 Too loud Irish rovers music 🤓
The music that was singing about south australia should be changed and volume lowered
music too loud
yeayyy... the music STILL drowns out the narration 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
17:37 wow thats too loud isnt it?
❤️❤️❤️
Nothing wrong with the noise ?
Why carry the wood around? I would have bought a wagon. lol I love the glass floors.
1) “The roof was delayed by planning.” Planning yet again demonstrates its lack of real concern for these buildings. 2) George doesn’t come off well when he so readily talks down to a well-educated, experienced architect. If that is scripted - stop that. It’s unappealing.
They always talk about spending all their money, are over budget and then they show the end result with all the furniture, lighting and materials. So, where do they get the money to finish the project? Does the program give them money?
No, some of the furniture is their own. The rest of the furniture is normally part of the budget.
People moaning about the loud music, this is because the people who uploaded these documentaries (illegally might i add) have dubbed music over the top of the existing pieces to prevent copyright strikes by KZhead.
What a horrible ceiling. Feels like living under a circus tent.
Lololololol!!
Enough with the "way too loud background music" can't hear what they're saying AT ALL!!!
This is 7 years old.
Класс удачи
Why, oh why, does the editing director of this video not see, or hear for that matter, that the vocal music is covering up EVERYTHING George is narrating? I can't hear anything he's saying. What a shame in almost all of these videos on this channel are this way.
Who dubbed the too loud music. Its terrible!
I'm looking for youtube channels that are rebuilding old beautiful places across the pond w/o drama!
Try _Grand Designs._ The very congenial host is Kevin Mccloud. I also enjoy _Escape to the Country._ There is also _George Clarke's Amazing Spaces!_ Enjoy!
@@brendatajik6150 Thank you very much.
Your music is toooooo LOUD!
43:55... Midsomer Murders...who is the suspect?...
Pink!!?? How absolutely horrible. Pink, Green and Red together on the ceiling. It had such potential, but that just ruined it.
Im not a fan of the tacky blue ceiling with stars
COLORS YESS
Heat pump get one in there tree hugger
I would never want half of a building. Unless it's a luxury highrise condo
Silly me thinking the ceiling paint couldn't get any worse
Rerun - boooo....
