  • Ahhh yes, this one. Remember seeing it a bar in SF, and feeling pretty dejected after the 49ers lost. It was Harb's first year, and I was excited, but didn't expect the huge turnaround they had. 49ers would win 8 straight after this, and finish 13-3. Great season despite coming up short.

    • @@RebornKingz usually do? At this point, the team was complete ass, filled with nobodies save for a few key players since '05. They were coming out of a losing season with a bunch of unknowns. Everyone was tired of Alex Smith at this point and we had no real receivers other than Crabtree. This team didn't have "all the pieces in the world" when they were kicking field goals all the time. Stop it.

    • @@MackDonaldo You and me got a different memory because they had a solid roster. The only thing I agree with you is Alex Smith being almost shipped out for someone else because they thought he was a bust compared to Aaron Rodgers someone who wanted to be a 49er. Once Alex smith got someone who actually gave a damn about how he wanted to run a offense that’s when everything changed. They relied more on their run game and defense which is what they should have been doing.

  • Dumb decision by Harbaugh with 11 minutes to go. Should have taken the penalty and the ball at the 22 yard line instead of the 3 points. At worst, you run the ball three times and take two minutes off the clock. At best, you score a TD to go up two touchdowns. Analytics weren't as prevalent back then, but this was not a hindsight move. It was a bad move at the time.

The Cowboys from 2011 to 2013 needed ONE WIN to win the division at 9-7 and had so so many games they choked in the last 5 minutes. 3 times they had ONE GAME to win at the end of the season to win the division and make the playoffs and THREE TIMES they lost the final game.

    @andy686811@andy6868115 ай бұрын
  • I remember watching this game and I was really irritated that we lost because of course it's the Dallas cowboys I can't stand them but I respect them and second we know that the rest of the week they're going to talk about how Tony Romo is it true warrior how he got hurt and they came back and won the game.. but what I think it's more interesting what happened after this game that the 49ers ended up having a seven to eight in winning streak, this was first year head coach Jim Harbaugh who helped us give us our first winning season since back in 2002 I believe and during the 2002 to 2010 the 49ers weren't just a bad team they were horrible, so much so that they set records especially on offense where no offense wants to have a record to have like the lowest yardage the lowest touchdowns and through more pics and have more turnovers than any other offense.. so that's why the 2011 season will always be special one for me because I used to work at a factory where everybody gave me a hard time about how the 49ers were awful and they stuck by them no matter what. But with the Dallas cowboys after this game I think they finished eight and eight I'm not sure but we also had that classic NFC divisional game against the New Orleans saints that Vernon Davis did the catch 2.. to this day I truly believe that if Kyle Williams didn't fumble one of those two turnovers in the NFC championship against the New York Giants that we would have won that game...
