We breed traditional yorkies and SURPRISE!!!! We ended up with 3 biewer yorkie puppies and one traditional. We did keep one because she is SO adorable!! I’ve been looking at haircuts for her and I found your page. Absolutely lovely!! I usually shave my girls down and keep the “slippers” on the feet and the face longer with the ears tipped and of course a beautiful little ponytail on top. But ours don’t have a tail. We didn’t know enough before we docked the tail sadly. Anyways, ours look just like yours almost. We have been breeding for 15 years and have never ended up with theses little cuties till now. Also she has had two other litters before this one and didn’t have biewer pups. It’s just a flip of the dice in traditional yorkie breeding with the recessive gene. ❤️❤️

Yorkie and biewer are 2 different breeds not the same biewer terrier is one and Yorkshire terrier is another

Briewer terrier is recognized as a distinct breed from a Yorkshire Terrier. A Yorkshire terrier can have a Parti Color (recessive gene) puppy, but just because it is a Parti color does not make it a Briewer terrier. Refer to AKC
Yes absolutely correct!! Our vet had his information absolutely wrong. We did our own research and your correct, ours are parti yorkies as per AKC recognizes them as. We had to take pics and new dna samples and send them to the AKC for registry. It was quite an adventure. But we did figure out everything in the long run. I have Yorkie one parent was a Briewer. Although both parents were light with a Golden accent. She has the special kind of papers. My question is I can’t see any difference between a Yorkshire terrier and a Briewer besides color . What do you think?
The difference between the Biewer Yorkie and the Yorkshire Terrier is in color, the quality of coat. Also, the ears of the Biewer York are larger and thicker.
