Longtime boater and sea tow captain Sergio Frágüela captured some disturbing images on the water off the Peanut Island sand bar on Sunday.

  • The closed captions was talking about 50 tons of cocaine seized in the very beginning of this segment. Look at your captions, its crazy. About the manatees - leave them alone. Let them be. It is extremely important to preserve their existence. They are going extinct. Let them mate as much as they want and where they want, too.

  • In Columbia and Brazil ,manatees have been gracious enough to help tow boaters including Jet Skiers out of the Jungle.

  • People do this crap when they come to Hawaiʻi too! We have Hawaiian monk seals, which are critically endangered, and every so often they'll come ashore on a popular beach to birth their pups...in which case, they're cordoned off and signs are posted not to go past the barriers and not to touch them as it's illegal to do so...regardless, mainlanders still break the law. They also so it with sea turtles, which are also protected. People are horribly entitled.

  • is just seeing from a safe distance not good enough for these people? like getting closer but not too close and keeping a safe distance between you and the manatees should be fine, maybe even letting them come to you and if they want to as long you don't provoke them, but no... they just want to touch them or even approach them head on. like just leave them be and those manatees are breeding and does anyone know what happens when an animal is in heat? they can be very aggresive of course.

    • Well to be fair sharks do not really attack people or care for humans at all for the most part. Bull sharks can be jerks though. I think an encounter with a box jellyfish would be more fitting.

    • @@adav5533 Yes and it is a good thing. Sharks rarely attack save for a handful of species who are more territorial and can be aggressive. A human life is worth nothing, we do not belong in the ocean at all. Humans think they can dominate the world, they cannot and we will die out due to our stupidity.
