    • @@Angelo-yr1en why would Jon Jones wish he had that record? That makes no sense. Jon Jones is the undefeated Light Heavyweight and current Heavyweight champion of the UFC. Making him overall the best fighter on the planet. I'm not a huge fan but Jones doesn't wish he had anything that another man in a combat sport has. Because what he achieved by training harder than everyone else. Is what men in combat sports all strive to have.

      @Angelo-yr1en@Angelo-yr1en9 ай бұрын
    • @@Angelo-yr1en What are you talking about? If he could beat Jon Jones in the MMA then he would be champion now and a millionaire. He tried MMA a little and it wasn't for him. Wrestling is only 1 part of MMA. It shows you have zero real personal experience yourself doing any combat competition. Because if you did you would know how ridiculous what you posted is. There's so much fighting knowledge, learned skill and techniques someone needs to know to be a UFC calibur fighter. It's actually rare that a wrestler can start doing MMA. You only see the success stories. Me and my friends train and compete in grappling and some of us MMA. So we see the tons of D1 wrestler's fail. I'm sorry but I seen you post multiple times about this guy. It's kinda of disturbing dude. Like you want to be his bottom butt boy or something. Stop worshipping another man so much that you make him into some kind of unrealistic comic book character in your head.

It seemed Karelin swiftly declined any offers from Vince McMahon, but Greg Gogne claims Karelin had actually met with WCW staff. He had a funny story of Karelin benching over 300 pounds and counting minutes instead of reps.

He said something to the effect of "I am a sportsman - what do I know about such things?" This in reference to pro sports and the possibility of moving to the West to pursue such a career. There's an old story that humility comes before greatness. Champion Aleksandr Karelin is the embodiment of athletic greatness and greatness of character.

I believe myself to be highly knowledgeable about sports and sincerely believe that wrestling is the *greatest* sport in the world. While Americans are usually very knowledgeable about amateur sports, they generally do not regard wrestling (whether free style or Greco-Roman) as being among the very best sports. As such, too little attention here is given to it. This is why Champion Karelin has not gotten as much praise from the sports media as he deserves. The name of Aleksandr Karelin should be a household name throughout the entire sports world. Indeed, as you say, he may well be the GREATEST athlete who ever lived.
