    • The HP totals on World's Palicoes is insane. I think at high levels, they can have two or even two-and-a-half times as much health as a Hunter can possibly have (200, assuming Health Boost 3 and Max Potion). Last I checked, my Antoine was rocking over 500 HP! This enables them to even survive Safi'jiva's ultimate attack at full health - the Sapphire of the Emperor...an attack that is supposed to essentially vaporize any living matter. And even if their HP is reduced to 0, they just stop and chug a potion for a minute or so.

  • Can Felynes talk in English (or whatever language the humans in MH universe) 4:00 also I think the reason grimalkynes never tried to integrate into human society is because for most of the new world's history, there was no human/wyverian civilization in the new world until the research commission created Astera (especially evidenced by the fact there appear to be no ancient civilization ruins within the new world either, that we know of at least)

    @unicorntomboy9736@unicorntomboy97366 жыл бұрын
    • Yes, they speak in English (or whatever language Humans speak in the world of monster hunter) most of them speak with a lot of goofy cat puns but some of them, like Felcote, pride themselves in speaking purr-fect english. And I think you're exactly right about the Grimalkynes so it will be interesting to see if they start migrating into Astera, or even back to the old world.

  • I cannot tell you how many times my Palicoes, the first and second of which I've always named Antoine or Razputin, has saved my bacon across the series in many ways. From playing Health Horns in Generations and Generations Ultimate; unleashing the Kittenator to topple a monster in Rise and Sunbreak; sending Vigorwasps my way, playing the Coral Cheerhorn to apply all sorts of buffs, or helping with my money issues with the Plunderblade in World...the list goes on. But the most important role they've played is distracting a large monster in combat so I can have time to heal, sharpen or the like. And they do it all out of sheer loyalty. If only cats in real life were so loyal and dependable... Also, Felcote's a GUILD KNIGHT?! As in he's allowed by Guild law to hunt down and kill poachers?! They really ARE the equals of humans and Wyverians!

  • Look up a 3D render of Cha Cha without his mask on. The developers detailed a face on it's cone shaped head. This head shape isn't just a random placeholder and neither is the position of the face on the head. A shakalaka's actual eyes and mouth are located very low on the head about where the neck should be, and in most Shakalaka masks I've seen, there are small eyeholes low on the mask as well as a small straw like extrusion where the mouth is. You can see this in cha cha's mask in this video. The cone shape of the head can also be seen in other games, such as in freedom unite when the masks 'mouth' is open.

  • What are Palicos? Possibly the biggest examples of Plot Armor I've ever seen. What ever attack they get hit by is minimal, and even then I think they don't even get knocked out when their health is empty. I would normally have an issue with Plot Armor if it were...well anything else really, but it's also because of this that they are able to be some of the best AI partners I've ever had. Plus, they're cute little furballs helping you kill monsters, which in itself takes talent to put together and make it all medd together smoothly to the point where I haven't realised how absurd and unfitting these two themes should be together until after 300+ hours of play time.

  • Fun and informative vid! I'll admit, I had no idea that there actually was a misconception that Felynes were seen as being "enslaved", by some. Much less that they weren't seen as equals in the Monster Hunter world society, as a whole. I guess my only question is...where the hell do these cats keep finding all the fun stuff that make up the collab gear?! True, they may not have any value for "wealth" in the traditional sense, but maybe they have a knack for stumbling upon treasure from the Ancient Civilization (or elsewhere) on their own, and only need some of the Guild's best smithies to get the stuff into a workable/functioning state...

    @BWX4@BWX45 жыл бұрын
    • It could just be their sense of material worth. Palico gear is always crafted from scraps. Scraps appear worthless to pretty much everyone, but they some how make some interesting stuff for them. They're also smaller and can fit in smaller spaces, so maybe they can find more stuff.
