Gutted it didn’t work out for him at CFC, had hoped for a ferguson-esque tenure but knowing the club in recent years that was always very unlikely (Carlo won the double and got sacked!) Frank is a good manager that’s humble enough to know he has lots to learn, he will be a great manager in the long run and would definitely sit in the cfc chair again in the next 10 years!

This is what Mikel Arteta has introduced into my club and its changed EVERYTHING, its made such a huge difference to where the club is now and where we're going. It's odd to see Frank in his Everton gear knowing now that he's been sacked and Sean Dyche has been bought in. I'm sure Frank will be back in another job soon, failure is all part of building character and will help him in his career.

  • Great insight to what goes with the dynamics of building a squad, hope this is the new start of Everton, because we really need it to be after last season. Our club is so far away from competing in terms of squad as they were bought for other systems and sitting on a high wage for not much output. With the few signings we've had and the outgoings, we can start to really build a squad who at the very least pulls in the same direction, which will ultimately help us in the future.

  • Frank played with kids and got 4th. Without that UCL spot, we'll never got any chance to persuade those summer signings to come to us. I mean, Ben, Kai, Timo, Thiago Silva... will they want to waste a year playing Europa? They were literally the top talents of Europe that window, and Frank persuaded them to come to us, with a chance to play in the UCL. He guided us through the UCL group stage beautifully. That 4 0 sweep against Sevilla was, I think, his peak at Chelsea as a manager. It was him who set the stepping stones for Tuchel to come and win the whole thing. Super Frankie literally assisted us another immense goal, years after his departure as a player. To me, Frank did well. He inherited a squad which is just so bad after Hazard left, got a transfer ban right up his ass, and still managed to get top 4 using kids. Tammy, Mount, James, Tomori... were having their debut season in the EPL, but most of you forgot, Frank was having his debut season in EPL as a coach too. And before that, he got only 1 year coaching Derby in the Championship. What are you expecting? Another Pep Guardiola? Pep had years coaching the academy team and inherited one of the best generations of footballers (arguable) in Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Puyol... Pep literally took a golden spoon in his early years, while Frank is like that street kid who lived a hand-to-mouth life in his first season at Chelsea. And after a summer of whopping 6, 7 big signings, Frank met his real challenges - how to fit those stars into a formation, a system to deliver his ideas & how to control such big egos in the dressing room. Both he failed miserably and had to leave, but remember, Chelsea once climbed to top of the league under Frank's coaching. He did developed a system that, was not optimal, but worked pretty well. His problem is that he couldn't change/upgrade when the opponents start learning his ways and how to counter him, which I think it's mostly because of his inexperience as a manager. All of that being said is to prove that, Frank did well and I hope he will learn more at Everton to some day come back to the Bridge. That summer when Hazard left and we got a transfer ban, I was literally prepared for Thursday night football, or even no European football at all. Frank was brave to take the job, give us hope and convert that hope to a promising reality. A real Chelsea's savior, both as a player & a manager. Best of luck in the future, Super Frankie!

Are interviewees expected to refer to those interviewer terms. Some great content but what I felt was lacking sometimes was perhaps a bit more cross examination approach whilst understanding not interrogative. Eg explore why impatience is his weakness and not anything else, as you know, he is clever to avoid questions and very articulate.

  • I think Frank's mistake was not accepting the reality of Roman's Chelsea, that is, the win now plan later mentality. Perhaps he was right in his longer term vision for the club but he was foregoing the present for a future vision of the team of which there were only glimpses.

  • Frank is what we needed at the time, I'm not going to be one of those chelsea fans blinded by loyalty saying slwe should have kept frank, because he will know better than any of us how the managerial policy worked at chelsea, he did what we needed him to and got us into a better place than we could have ever hoped for and then we had to let him go

  • I'll always attribute half of the 2021 ucl success to Frank because unlike AVB who had an absolutely horrid time and was on thevrinknof getting knocked out by napoli, he the Lampard-Tuchel transition in the ucl was smooth and continuous

  • Super Frankie Lampard. chelsea legend and record goal scorer which will take some beating. Frank loves chelsea, you could see this when he was at City and scored against Chelsea he was almost crying and spent 20 minutes after the game with the away Chelsea supporters. I can remember when Frank played every game for 164 games! Another which will take some beating, even from a keeper. True legend, ok maybe the Chelsea managers job was abit too much for Frank but hes doing fine at Everton.

  • I'm biased as Frank is my all time Chelsea idol but I just don't understand the negativety that gets thrown his way. He's a young manager learning his trade and learning from his successes and his mistakes. How can we ever expect to have world class British managers when we shoot them down after two seasons. Maybe the Chelsea job did come to early for him but he was never going to say no. Did a great job and helped cement some of the best Chelse youngsters we've seen in a generation. Really wish him all the success and hope to maybe one day see him manage Chelsea again. Thanks Super Frank

    • Would Frank have got into the premier league if it wasn't for Chelsea? I don't think so. Just like managers give players a start, I feel Chelsea gave Frank his start. Maybe one day he'll return.

    • As far as British managers go, hopefully Potter will surprise people. If you read about his career so far, he does seem like young manager with very great potential. As for Frank, would love himback at Chelsea one day, more experienced etc. What he did for our youth was brilliant.

    • @@fuzzmuff63 Yes I agree, I would love Potter to do well, not just for Chelsea but for British managers. Now he has a big club with a brilliant squad and cash for transfer windows. Let's see what he can do and I just hope he can cope with the pressure of a big club.

Chelsea still needs his grit, Cech (hopefully), Terry and A. Cole in the technical team 2.0 🙏 Good luck for this season Frank - I hope you grab a trophy this season...

  • Lamp didn't fail at Chelsea , he only made a few indecisive mistakes like not concentrating on important areas. He had very good attackers, had very good system and had a very sound united team. All he needed to do was to solidify the defence. . But he didn't pay much attention to his defence he was more interestd in attack attack attack. Tuchel did nothing as far as am concern. I believe Lamp would still have won the champions league. Pity he was not given enough the time to execute his plan for Chelsea. Tuchel only came to steal his glory. Part of his problem was Kepa
