not how i almost got banned on this minecraft SMP... or joining random minecraft servers, this is a video on the 1.18 server called lifesteal SMP. like parrotx2 and his series where he broke bedrock or blew up 2000 TNT, but instead i almost trapped rekrap2 with a texture pack that makes tnt invisible by swapping its texture to grass. enjoy! :)

If you plan on doing this kind of trap again, a cool way of stopping people from escaping is to use obsidian as the invisible wall

which is very rare: crying obsidian spawns most frequently in ruined nether portals which themselves are rare and plus planet had so less time to make the trap it wouldn't have been that easy...

The last level did look pretty suspicious. Ideally you should have shown the challenge map examples off and then booby trapped the very first challenge. No one that has ever put effort into faking a real event has ever booby trapped the very first part. As he searches for the button around the village, he won't have time to notice you've lit the TNT. Plus there would be a chance he'd be in a building when that occurs, meaning he wont have time to brick away.
Even better, say it's a 3-part challenge, but the second part is trapped
What if the button he found activated the TNT
Even better, make the first challenge fake-trapped, so he thinks he escaped your trap attempt and then isn't ready for the true trap.

2 improvements couldve been: - Dont make it the last minigame. - make it so that the escaperoom requires putting all items away first. You know, so the player doesnt cheat.
Yeah but he for sure wouldn't fall for that if he was even a little bit smart, considering his PoV is recorded and all, he would probably point to the recording as evidence enough that there was no cheating, without requiring that the items are put away.
or 3, use TNT minecarts instead.

Yeah , tnt minecarts can be stacked way more than tnt and explode without a fuse. Instant death nuke

"What happens when a unstoppable force meets ANOTHER unstoppable force" is basically the basis of trapping rekrap (probably best way is a simple void trap, you mine a 4x1 in a nether walkway and mine it under him with buttons going to the void

You fumbled by telling him it was a trap instead of just silently detonating it. If you removed the tnt going off sound from the texture file you could’ve detonated it without him even noticing and he wouldn’t have had time to build up to safety
Also if he blew it up himself with a lever or something as part of a minigame

the main issue was that you dident have enough tnt, maybe a second layer underneath and surrounding the trap would have done it in, would have taken longer, but would get you results

actually I think the main issue was that the trap house was surrounded by glass instead of invisible obsidian. The glass blew up, so he was able to get away from the TNT

Maybe a few more layers of the invisible glass for the walls and ceiling in the trapped area as well as more TNT under the walls and ground would have worked. That said I think you've permanently list your chance to get him now he'll be way too way of you from now on.

It was a great idea, but what if instead of glass being completely transparent, you used obsidian, trapping him in a boy of obsidian would have insta died, the portals might have looked sus, but you could tell him that that was so he did not break through the invisible maze. Great idea overall though.
Except there is one problem, since obsidian isn't transparent normally. Giving it a transparent texture would xray nearby blocks
If there was a ceiling, it would look weird that it was utterly dark in the area. What I would do is make 4 layers of alternating invisible glass-cobweb.

loved the vid but you could have used a blast resistant block like obsidian for the invisible outline
I think one way to make that trap a little better was to make the invisible glass into invisible obsidian. Because obby doesn’t blow up so he still can’t escape even when tnt is igniting
that would take a lot of grinding to get all that obi

That is quite smart, but you could've farmed a bit longer and increased the horizontal area so that Rek has a lower chance of increasing his win-streak
idea: in a desert, make a giant floating sand trap that goes all the way to the void (remove bedrock). put crafting tables on the edges so they cant clutch. so just get them to go in that area and then make the sand fall

Idea: should have used a tnt minecart to immediately ignite the explosives, letting rekrap have no time to build up and escape. Texture the minecart as a leaf, and hide it in a tree. break the leaves under it, get pearled out, and watch as rekrap slowly but painfully dies.

here a suggestion, you should’ve put more expand more tnt horizontally but not more in vertically, therefore rekrap will deal more knockback/damage.

Should have layered up the walls on the last trap up, use a more blast resistant block (maybe crying obsidian would be good, gotta remember to yeet the particles too though)

You should've had them do a block clutch challenge that would need them to take off their armour so they wouldn't survive the fall if they missed and then just had them keep it off.

Ah, tragic! Not enough tnt! I think if you ever had a time machine and could redo this you should've put a pit or something under all that TNT so even if he didn't get blown up he could fall down. The only issue there would be the fact that he has some water bucket to clutch it potentially so I guess time to clear out 4 chunks of bedrock and hope he falls into the void?

I think he had too much time to react when you revealed the trap to him. If you had lit the TNT before you said anything about it, he might not have had the time to build up and escape the blast. Great trap regardless.
