Darryl Strawberry was a great baseball player for the NY Mets in the 1980's, in the late 80's early 90's he was caught doing coke and derailed his promising career. He was actually my favorite player in the mid to late 80's as I was a young kid, I knew nothing about drugs yet, but my mother told me what he did and said he wasn't a good role model, so I switched favorite players

As an addict in recovery I can 100% understand what he means when he says he just wants to feel okay. Don't have to feel good just don't want to feel uncomfortable every where we go. I only brought up the addict part because being in recovery I know a bunch of addicts that have or do still feel this way. Walk into a room and wonder what every single person thinks about you when logically you know they could give 2 shits less about you. Yet you can't shake that feeling that your constantly judged. 🤷♂️
Does that feeling ever go away? I was a hardcore alcoholic and now I only drink when I get home. But I’m constantly anxious and uncomfortable if i don’t have alcohol in my system

This was back in '05.
