Building Custom Headers for Our Coyote Swapped 1973 F100: Ep 2

On this episode we're cutting and welding up some custom long-tube headers for our 1973 F100 supercharged Coyote swap. This 5.0 engine will be packing some serious boost with this Whipple blower, and those stock headers were just not cutting it! So the S2S team put Tim Moceri to work, fabbing up some of the cleanest looking custom headers you've seen on a 5.0 Coyote. Tim goes over his process, step by step on how he plans the layout of the headers and what he does to make sure he has solid strong welds on the Ticon stainless pipes he's using. These are going to sound mean and help that engine breathe! Follow along as we release weekly episodes documenting this build and others at S2S speed shop.

  • Obviously good fab work, but your videos are incredibly well produced. Perfect ratio of timelapse to explanations and updates in-between. Keep the content up!

  • I know this is a couple years old but about how many days or hours did you have into this set of headers? Was it a typical fab job or did they take a bit longer than others? Thanks

    @Youdaboob@Youdaboob2 ай бұрын
    • Can't remember exactly how many hours went into them. Tim spend a lot of time in the early part of his career fabricating exhausts and headers, so this is his bread and butter. But the challenge was getting as close to equal length primaries as possible, while working with a motor inside a frame that it really shouldn't be in. It's just a lot of time and patience!
