Honestly i can't stress the amount of times I've heard Jeff say 'he hates cooking' 🤣🤣 I love you man.
LOL :) love you too!
@@MMAShredded You the Man bro 👊🏽
@@MMAShredded I’m job I m pop ok I z ok
I’m picking up on it too 😂😂
Jeff cuts immediately the steak instead letting rest for 5 minutes. A wild Gordon Ramsay appears. "YOU FOCKING DONKEY" Epic MMA battle begins.
LOL
Ramsay would get self ko'd if he would see what I do to my steaks
he also cooked it in the air fryer and the steak came out grey looking like shit.
@@queeffersthrlnd1620 I wouldn’t say it looked like shit
@@queeffersthrlnd1620 In America, it looks similar to what people call "bluing" their steak. You flash fry it on both sides for like 30-60 seconds. Bluing is likely much more popular in Asian countries if we're going off the popularity of Sushi. Which is also eaten raw many times.
There is a dish from Korea named bibimbap(stone bowl rice) with Ingredients of rice, veggies, meat and some special local fish sauce, then mix the whole package together after you set them up probably. The balance nutrient content is quite similar to your dish in the video but its just Korean style and the ingredient difference. I recommend you to try that too !
I would love to, I love Korean food!!
We fuck with bibimbap hard in sweden 😍 its delicious
I grew up eating it. So delicious and healthy.
@@MMAShredded koreans love u too :) 형 사랑해
If you make it with brown rice, it's literally the perfect combination of nutrition and deliciousness.
I would love to see more content like this. There are plenty of videos out there about bodybuilding type diets but not a lot about specific meals to help fuel and recover for MMA athletes. Great video
thank you for your feedback!!
I like going for "eggs n stuff" when I'm at a loss Chop potato & meat/meat substitute of choice (bacon/smoked sausage are my fave) Throw in medium heat frying pan with light oil Chop up the rest of your "stuff" (I usually go cherry tomatoes, broccoli & spinach) and throw it in once the first lot is browning Let spinach wilt & stuff cook, then make 2-4 "pockets"/spaces in the pan Crack 2-4 eggs into those spaces, add black pepper & turn heat down to low-mid, and cover pan so top of the eggs cook without burning the rest. Serve on a large plate, done!
sweet!
sounds shmack but bacon n sausage is probably the worst protein u could choose
Very cool! I gotta get those cooking appliances that make the cooking so easy. Thanks !
totally worth it!!!
Your channel is simply the best thank you Jeff Chan.
thanks Marcus!!
Quick and easy ! A perfect video !
thank you!!
You’re a real down to earth guy. Definitely not overconfident or conceited. Found your channel a few days ago and it honestly inspired me to get back into Martial arts. I’m 24 now but I started when I was like 13. Left for the military after high school so I stopped training. But you can bet your ass I’m getting back in there this year. Gonna analyze your videos for future success. Thank you for being a badass lol
awesome man glad to hear your getting back into it!! and thank you for the support and watching my content. Stay in touch bro!
great vid jeff! keep the recipes coming :D
thanks bro!!
Glad you went pro Jeff you deserve it brotha!
thanks brother!
Thanks for sharing. Gonna try it soon!
awesome!
Looks amazing!
thanks!
Def gonna implement this. Cooking isn't my favorite thing to do. You're a badass mma role model man.
I've learned a lot from your videos, Jeff. But the most important thing you've taught me is that you can cook a steak in an air fryer! 👍
HAHAH yes :P happy new year bro!!
Merry Christmas Jeff 🎅
merry Christmas bro :)
I’ve been training for boxing/kickboxing for about 2 1/2 years so far and I’ve been always trying to figure out what kind of good food I can eat before or after workouts of hitting the bag this awesome to learn!
cheers!!
Looks really good. Will have to try!!
yes let me know how you like it :)
Awesome recipe Jeff👍
thanks rob!
Cmon JEFF!!!!! You really just going to scrape your fork on that non stick grate!!!!!! I love your content and hope you had a good xmas keep up the great work!
haha im such a noob at cooking im sorry! and merry christmas bro I hope you enjoy your holidays!!
Present coach jeff chan advance Merry Christmas and Happy New year🧡❤
Merry Christmas and happy new year brother :)
Very nice stuff. Looks good and that steak turned out better than I expected it to. Who would’ve thought an air fryer could do that.
haha air fryers are amazing!!
Great content ..Nice appliances man! That samsung French door has problems with leaks under the crisper drawers and the icemaker. You ever need any advice I'll walk you through your repairs. Its the least I could do for all u put out. Happy Holidays champ
thanks for watching and ill let you know thanks :) happy holidays bro!
Love the content my man! Just a quick tip, try searing the steak at the end to give a nice crust, would only add 1 minute on high heat. This would make it alot tastier!
thanks for the tip man, I appreciate it!!!
@@MMAShredded :D
Someone already said it. Gotta love that good old Maillard reaction
Beautiful menu, I will try that for sure 👍🏼
:)
Thanks for sharing .We all need this 😬
:) merry christmas and hope you enjoy you holidays !
Air fryer was life-changing for me. Thank you Jeff from Hungary!
life changing for me too bro! cheers!
Big fan of this meal. I’d like to point out that this meal will probably not be right for everybody it’s a lot of calories and a fair amount of carbs with the rice. It’s very balanced, but if you aren’t working out the carbs are really easily stored especially when paired with fats like avocados. Great meal for people training but if you aren’t putting in the work in the gym you probably won’t get shredded eating like this. Great meal!
cheers :)
This meal is fine. Reduce the portions appropriately based on your caloric needs. This is fine for a prep meal eaten over two or three days.
Happy New Year Jeff...consider writiing a cook book in 2022 pls
happy new year brother!!
Oh nice thanks for the recipe, that looks good ! I don't have any of those machines but i think it will work aswell with a pan and a saucepan ahah
for sure! just a little more work :P
that looks amazing, just amazing
:)
Guys if u didn’t know Jeff hates cooking 😂
LOLLL
Seems too easy to prepare!! Yummy!!
:) yes the Air Fryer makes life simple haha
That looks really good. Also, I need a One Championship tshirt!
:) merry Christmas bro!
🤩 looks delicious 🤤
Enjoy your meal champ! 💪🏻🤝
thank you bro! merry Christmas!
Thanks and you!!! 🤝 You are the best! 💪🏻🙏🏻🇷🇺
Cool that's the kind of stuff I whip up in the kitchen. I'm picky about my carbs though so I personally go super low glycemic so instead of rice I do steal cut oats or Ube the Okinawan purple potatoe
sweet!!
Thank you!!!!
thanks for watching!
I really wanna start eating right. You make it look easy.
you got this!
I tried this and it was very delicious. I have a fight coming up and I have been eating clean for a couple of weeks.
sweet! good luck on your fight!
Damnnn KZhead paying off! Keep hustlin' champ!
thx bro! you too!
Hi Jeff, Thanks for answer.
if he is pushing into your throat, you want to bridge and off balance him! then start shrimp escaping!!
@@MMAShredded yes, ok! I know 100% what you talking about. Thanks.
Solid meal 👌🏽
thank you!!
Love the content! Would love to hear about calorie count vs amount of training, for those that maybe aren't pros but want to use MMA to lose weight and get fit!
I personally don't count my calories anymore, its just too much of a headache and inconvenience for me haha... I used to do that though, and it does work.
Counting calories does work, but you don't have to do it forever. It can really get you on track with your portions, macros etc..., But after a while you get good at eyeballing your meals and generally know how much of what you are consuming
Wow that looks delicious
it was :)
awesome video bro. The 1st thing, getting that air fryer.
:) you wont regret it haha!
Hahaha he called it a recipe. Bless 🤣🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you!!
Looks good
:)
Damn. You got me starving coach Jeff.
haha!!! sorry! I hope you cook yourself a nice meal :P
Good stuff
thx!!
That actually looks really good.
:)
Seeing the title before I watched the video I thought your favourite meal was going to be the warm , still beating heart of your vanquished opponent ..... but this looks nice too !
LOLLOL
Looks delicious
:)
3:54 What was that white stuff he added at the end? Thought it was more rice but it looks too white/yellow and grains aren't distinct.
Avocado super food on its own. Added the rice good carbs. Steam protein. Veggies. Well balanced nice meal id say! I dnt have an air frier id like 1 but i doubt the cheap 1s are really good.. Still tho i can use this thanks
awesome ;)
Ty 👍
cheers!
Great video will you do more meals for fighters
I can try!!
Good healthy food 😋💪
:)
thank yu for making me discover the air fryer . it's the best chiken i've had
:) cheers!
That looks freakin' delicious man! Thanks for sharing! I'll bet some soy sauce on the brown rice would be pretty dope too.
:)
Would it be okay if I replaced the bedding or rice with leftover Christmas tree cakes?
That looks delicious. I need to get me an airfryer too
I highly recommend it :)
Jeff can you please do more diet/meal based videos? They’re super helpful bro, love ur videos as always 🙏
thanks for watching man, yeah ill try to keep it up!!
Very Good .!
thank you!
Very cool! I have a question Jeff. I believe I can’t digest this mix (it seems so much..), do you have a strategie for take a meal like this without any belly problem? 😅
Hmm if you have problems digesting this type of meal, I would switch the protein to something lighter that your stomach can handle and increase the amount of veggies and reduce the amount of carbs (rice)
@@MMAShredded in fact, I digest very well protein and vegetables, but rice and some Carbo is difficult for me, I don't know why. Thank you for your response 💪
Same here, I have a 300gr lettuce, onion and tomato salad 8set aside), a 250 gr red meat steak, fry up with just olive oil and garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, himalayan salt. Pour the steak over the salad and the juices make a nice healthy dressing. Takes 5 minutes. Done.
@@konkyolife oh thanks.. I'll try it 💪
@@Luca-bo1ig stay away from high lectin foods.
Gotta say I’m impressed
:) thx!
Amazing
thank you!!
This came at the perfect time for me teenager gotta eat in the morning. That's funny I cant cook nothing but microwave bagged rice.
LOL bro, give that air fryer a try, life saver man! Merry Christmas !
@@MMAShredded Thanks appreciate it!
Also, get a rice cooker. Just as easy as microwaveable rice and worlds apart in quality and quantity. Oh and I can’t forget, tons of money saved over time.
I feel like you'd benefit from a sous vide machine and a torch to meal prep proteins in bunch. It's what I do to get perfect steak every time.
sounds interesting!!
Hey thank you bro you saved my life
happy holidays!
That looks bomb dude. Does the steak really taste juicy out of the airfryer? Just got mine but didn't want to ruin a good steak.
it tasted amazing in my opinion!
let the steak rest couple minutes before slicing. it'll keep the juices inside. that goes for all proteins.
thanks for the tip!!
Good content. Side Tip: If you put a wet paper towel under your cutting board it wont move while you're using it.
noted thank you!
That is a big meal. Do you cut back amounts when dieting for a fight?
haha yes definitely!
MGL you sir just won a subscriber
thanks for the support!
Chef Jan is the cook!
Simple .... healthy, delicious .... "Now add it to your air fryer." lmfao wth
Interesting, never thought of an air frying a steak. I like to pan fry with butter personally. Looks good brother! When's the next fight?
thanks bro! and im stuck in negotiation unfortunately
NGL that looks crazy delicious.
:)
I’m fighting in two weeks and still have 10-15 pounds to lose (opponent changed) I’m down 12, when do you start water loading and how do you go about it? Big fan of your work
I try to drink up to 6 L a day and distilled water! good luck on your fight!!!
What do you mean by water loading?
@@GetArkd It's a v dangerous technique to lose water weight used purely for short term weight loss results for weighing in for a fight. Basically you drink a tonne of water (not literally) and it tells your body that you don't need to hold onto your water so your body loses water weight. It's so dangerous as it thins the blood (where are nutrients/minerals/electrolytes are transported). It's the dumbest part of MMA and no fighter should really do it. They should lose the weight naturally and slowly.
This is why I like one fc. Dramatic weight loss to make weight is disastrous for your health and likely the cause of increased ring mortality.
I would never cook a steak in an air fryer but it did look good. Eating more red meat drastically improved my health. I prefer white rice because it has less anti-nutrients
cheers!
was just about to comment this. Is the science out on brown vs white rice? i swear one year something is healthy, the next it's not. the amount of times chocolate, eggs, and red beef has been labeled both healthy and unhealthy is an absolute joke. wouldn't be suprised if next week, they find out brown rice is in fact healthier.
@Steve Chung That's interesting, didn't know about the fat conversion in cattle but it should have been obvious from looking at food labels haha. Though I would posit that there's more pollution in the ocean and waterways nowadays with micro plastics and other toxic chemicals. nuclear waste, and petroleum by-products. The problem with the farmed fish is probably the inbreeding and just in general an unnatural environment.
That little advice really changed my life and my muscle growth improvement! Thanks so much bro
no problem man! merry x mas!
What do you think about meal replacement shakes like soylent. Is that healthy?
I have never tried to be honest!
What are the benefits of eating brown rice over white rice? I like white rice because it cooks faster mainly
i feel the same way and prefer white rice, but sometimes switch to brown rice when i have some on hand. it’s considered a whole grain so theres more fiber and vitamins.
@@MMAShredded thank you for the reply! I really enjoy your channel and appreciate what you do.
Can you do fighter predictions for Gane vs Ngannou card? Like your take on the two fighters styles and ect.
GANE!
Nice, I'll think buying that machine, jajsja
bro you should definitely give it a chance... been a life saver for me!!! Merry Christmas!
thanks now i can just look even more buff should i lose more muscles?
The minute I saw you rinse the rice I said to myself "ahh good man!"
LOL
Ypu should have mentione the finger measuring for the rice
1:48 great vid, but there’s a more efficient way to cut and use an avocado. Split it along the long end into two halves brother.
haha fair
Do more food videos!
ill try :)
Put a wet towel underneath your cutting board brotha, seeing it rocking the way it was made me anxious af lol
Ummmmm Go Jeff! ✅✅🌟
thank you! merry Christmas!
sir, do you use cooking oil when using the air fryer?
a bit on the vegetables only!
Jeff I see you with that 13:01 time on the rice cooker 😁 🏆
hehehe
@@MMAShredded lol imma shoot you a email soon man
Was that cheese you sprinkled on at the end? If so what kind?
yes cheese! just mozzarella cheese!
Chef Jeff✅
:)
Purely out of curiosity, what’s the go-to meal AFTER a fight? Are you crushing burgers and pizza for a day or two?
haha yeah pretty much!!!
Hey Jeff, when did you start learning MMA ? If you did it during your student life, how did you find a balance ?
I balanced it during high school , all through university and eventually did it full time! as for how I found a balance, im not sure how to answer that, I just did!
@@MMAShredded I think I understand your answer. Thanks. It is helpful
damn gotta try that air fryer lol
you do!! you wont regret it haha, its been a life saver!
