Knees to a downed opponent should be legal everywhere, like ONE FC. They are not more dangerous than a shin to the face while standing and it can be a total game changer on the ground during grappling sequences. Bummed for DJ, but stoked for Moraes!

Size played a huge factor in the fight and it was a great disadvantage on Demetrious Johnson's part. I'd really love to see a rematch happen to see if DJ can still manage to make the proper adjustments and avenge that loss.
Totally agree with the majority of what you said. I just don’t like the idea of DJ fighting guys with such size advantages at this point in his career, the size difference was very obvious this time, maybe cause Moraes was so strategic. Fighters will be fighters though, we will see.

Yes, a knee to the head of a grounded opponent is permitted under the rules in ONE Championship. I don't hate that rule either and wish the UFC would implement it.

But i agree that there is difference here. But DJ took it willingly. In my opinion it is because he is getting old, and that means higher walking weight by default. He will probably lose weight in training camp, while younger athletes will keep it or gain it even. But problably not enough for lower weight class. Sad but inevitable thing that comes with age.

It's not ONE's fault. That referee that is the one made a fault stoppage. Don't try to put every single mistake on the company mate. We never see that when James Herzog, Herb Dean and that japanese ref makes a blunder, it is their fault. But why does when a ONE championship makes a small blunder, it shows that ONE is bad and all that
