Extra cut compounds are seldom used as clear gets softer and softer....but old hard stubborn finishes cut like butter with this.
Great for RV's with oxidized gelcoat finishes.
I really lime when you do these tests and especially when you had the polish winner board challenge years ago.
I always enjoy your videos even if they don’t apply to what I am doing. I find 90% of my corrections are one step polishes. I have a few heavy cuts on hand for spot corrections if needed. Curious on your test hoods how thin the clear has gotten from all of the test. Maybe have an ongoing measurement on it after each test?
Brian (and anyone else) have you much time using a straight wool pad? Whipping out the rotary is always nice to see, So many today detailers shy away from them. Back in the day DUPONTS 606s compound was a go-to for cutting the wet sanded paints & clears. The rotaries weighed 20 pounds. SIOUX HEAVY DUTY POLISHER Model 1200VS 2000 RPM. This compound look fine, a bit pricey.
Another great option to have for those situations you need something with a little more cut. Appreciate the great content and review Brian.
Good information as always and thanks for the product information I will have to try this out
This looks like a really quality compound. Would probably make a lot of jobs go a lot easier and quicker for pros.
Another awesome video and product review good friend
I could have used that on a stubborn Chevy Silverado correction I did last summer. The clearcoat seemed almost bulletproof. It was a pain. Thanks for the review, Brian. Helpful.
Just ordered your BC 1 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 can't wait to use it on my first ceramic coating customer
I always love your compound videos and I think the product worked very well. Thank you for the product review.
Not bad. Those aggressive compounds are scary in the wrong hands.
Good informative video Brian 👊🏼Good product for tougher clear coats. Thanks for sharing this product 💎
Aca510 and 500 i havnt found anything to beat it on car paint. Little secret mix 3done and 510 together make your self a very strong one step.
About time someone done a video on this
Brian, thank you for bringing this product to our attention. I have two gel coated boats that could use this… John
Definitely a good one to have on the shelf 👌
Hi Brian , great video as usual .. been following you since you the days you used to swear by angle wax products , how about an angle wax revisited to see how they compare now days. .?
I may get some of this for my granite I can’t get to polish up the way I want it
That looks cool however I’m sure I’ll never have to use this hopefully 🤞
Thank you for the testing Brian , for gel coat, how would you compare this to 3D 510 ?
Hey Brian, Quality video.. Question: On your test hood.. do you put on new clear coat after testing and if you do how frequently? Thx..
would this be too much for a beat up 09 chevy silverado black paint? thanks for sharing
What compound (heavy cut) would you recommend to hard stubborn clear coat (eg some older German vehicles) ? Cheers and thank you ,🙏
Anyone from EU having tried US car care products but not seen the results promised..? I feel like manufacturers are using different formulas for outside US markets 🤔🤔
Hey Brian, I've heard you say in the past that bc1 can be applied outside, direct sunlight, high temp, all that stuff. Can bc7 be applied in the same conditions?
Kinda pricey, but if it gets the job done.
I used the rupes compound and rupes blue foam pad with Hercules dual action gear driving from Harbor freight on finish 1 fc720 clear coat about 5 day after painting and it didn’t bring back the shine nothing like yours on the hood
Did you try different pads? I've noticed pads make a very big difference on finishes. What rpm were your passes going at?
@@GSP-76 yes I switched to the rupes wool pad with the foam backing and I still had a haze not a full gloss
@@gregoryjowers3629 That's strange...I've used Harbor Freight DA polishers in the past and they've always worked very well just like most others. Did you try using different compound/polish or even polisher to see if a different combo worked out better? I hate to ask the basics but I'm assuming you did slow passes at lower than 2000rpm for initial pass?
@@GSP-76 I used 3d one with a microfiber pad with a foam backing with the Hercules dual action and it worked great on my factory paint on a 2003 gmc but on the car I painted I used finish 1 fc720 clear coat and I waited 5 day after I painted the car and the temperature was in the 90s at that time
Used it with the rules blue pad and wasn’t impressed.
