#Puppeteer #Playstation #ps5
It's one of those unique games around that time. I remember seeing this a lot back in 2014.
Yeah me too, I just remember Ibalisticsquid played it during that time. That and I was amazed by the unique gamemechanic it has
I'm really glad more people are discovering this game, the mechanics surrounding it are incredible.
I miss playing this game I forgot what bosses gave me a hard time but I remember most of it was the bull on the final part
Monkey did too
Right?? Focusing everything around scissors and cutting, as well as masks (or rather heads) is mega cool. With the setting of a play, everything comes together into an amazing thing.
Yes the concept was amazing but where was generak monkey
Okay, who here has noticed that all of the generals are based on the CHINESE ZODIAC? Tiger, Rat, Snake, Sheep, Pig, Horse, Bull, Dog, Rabbit, Rooster, Dragon, Monkey. Such a awesome detail….
me. (people need to start paying attention to chinese zodiacs.)
I did as well just now as I’m typing this
I noticed while i was watching, probably when I saw the snake, which is MY chinese zodiac
Same, recognize the pattern. Also the moon plays part in eastern lore besides Chinese and the Zodiacs.
DUDE, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW INSANE THIS IS FOR ME RIGHT NOW, I knew this game existed and searched for it for years after having loved it when I was younger, and for a long time I was a bit convinced that it might have just now have even been a thing and I may have just imagined it. So this is actually like a fever dream for me right now to suddenly have gotten recommended this.
This game is both fun and a underrated gem. The characters are all fun and the bosses are fantastic and make a good use of quick time events.
Cutting Tiger General's Tooth Vein just feels so gnarly in my own mouth.
I kinda feel bad for general dog! He just wanted some love from his abusive master.
I know, right? He’s the only one of the generals that I actively felt sorry for defeating!
Same. He didn't seem to be evil or really want to hurt you like the other generals.
I got this game the day it came out, ten years ago. To this day it is one of my favorite games, and I was always disappointed that almost nobody knew it existed. Even people who talked about uncommon or rare games mostly forgot about it. Glad to see that it's receiving the attention it deserves. I still have my copy, and have no plans to sell it.
This game needs more recognition that what it has this game is the masterpiece of masterpieces
This is the first I've ever heard of this game and I'm mad it took this long for me to encounter it! I love how expressive the animation is and the mechanics are so creative!
TEN YEARS OLD!? I f you'd told me this game came out today, I'd have believed you! It looks amazing! And the voice acting was incredible!
**New achievement: YOU UNLOCKED THE DEEPEST MINDOF NOSTALGIA!!!**
I remember playing this game when I was young. Something about this game just stuck out to me and it was great. The unique gameplay the art style definitely carried and the whole entire health mechanic and the head thing really made this game special. I'm finally happy to see more and more people look up on this uncut gem and see it for what it truly is Call me crazy but I think this was my Paper Mario
Paper Mario? How so? Many people, myself included, liken it to Sony’s own LittleBigPlanet!
NO WAY, A PUPPETEER PLAYTHROUGH BY SOMEONE BIG??? THIS IS SICK!!!
General Tiger's boss fight gave me sympathy pain
I have NEVER seen this game before but I was instantly in love with it’s style!!
bro the memories
No one game can have all this soul. The game honestly looks great still, I thought it was a newly released indie game for a while into the video
1 month ago?? Someone remembers? I miss this game so much, I wish it had gotten more popular..
A genuinely cute story with cute characters...and Jack Sparrow apparently
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I think it deserves a sequel, or at least a re-release.
It got ported to ps4 and I think ps5
@@krackerbacker It's not on the playstation store.
@@clownymoosebean it shows up for me (are you on ps5?)
@@krackerbacker It must be region-locked or something, cause I don't see it.
@clownymoosebean damn that sucks. Also I can't play it because you get it for free by having the most expensive ps plus plan Which I can't afford
I genuinely watched this cutscenes like a movie because kt was genuinely interesting It had both Asian Puppet storytelling with slight western storytelling (voice acting snd some themes) I know about the lunar zodiacs being used here with some slight symbolism
Lore of Puppeteer - All Bosses + Ending Momentum 100
This game shaped a big part of my childhood imagination, I loved it so much! The combat, the story, the characters! It was so much fun! I was first exposed to it by iballisticsquid back in the minecraft days actually, good times
One of the best games released on PS3. A 2D Platformer with a unique and wonderful style. One of my favorite games. I'm really sad that this game is so unknown. It deserves a second chance, perhaps with a Remaster for PS5. Absolutely recommended game for all Platform lovers.
Omg, I remember seeing a trailer for this game alongside Guacamelee. I feel old seeing this game now.

I’d Like To See You Do A 100% Walkthrough Of This Or Someone Else Who Will. No Damage & Deaths, Of Course.
Isn't monkey also a general?
@@joshcoy6748yes, I think he meant the robot monkey in the stage where you fight him! Also, not to complain, but Java forgot to include General Monkey in the boss rush video!
@shannonbateswillis5022 oh, sorry I didn't watch that part of the video initially.
A rare masterpiece! Thank you my friend!
This game is so nostalgic for me bro
*FINALLY, HOLY FUCKING SHIT I FOUND THIS GAME AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF TRYING, PLAYING IT BACK IN LIKE 2015’ISH AND NOW I HAVE. HOLY SHIT… I CALLED IT A DIFFERENT NAME BUT NOW I FOUND IT.* All I can say is that I’m happy rn, you have no idea how long it has been since I last played this game (supposedly by my brothers I played the demo but I said I was playing the full thing. Atleast it felt like the full thing or that was a very very long demo-) Now I can rest at peace knowing the game name once and for all
Well this is a blast from the past
Yes this game is finally getting the attention it deserves
I just wish there's a second puppeteer
I loved this game when I got it from the Walmart bargain bin because it had a lion on it. And I still love it do damn much
I remember watching a KZheadr play this as a kid and ever since then it’s been at the back of my mind.
i remember seeing nerd^3 play this way back but i forgot the name of it, i know it wasnt the purpose of the video but thank you for reminding me
I completed the game over the summer and it was just as nostalgic as i remembered it back in 2013
I really wanna play this game, hope it gets a release or something Also justice for General Dog, that hurt to watch
I gound this game the most fascinating in all of ps3 lineup Its ccutscenes are so good i consider it a movie
We need. A remake. Of this. Amazing game. Real soon. I fucking. Mean it.
Okay just visually this is freaking STUNNING
This is top tier game, randomly found it and downloaded it on my ps3, didnt regret my purchase
Seen this game in a magazine. Really wish I had it.
Thought this game was a fever dream
This game and God of War III were the main reasons I got a PS3 to begin with, underrated masterpiece honestly.
I wish this game got a sequel
Gosh, I remember this game! I used to look up all kinds of playthtroughs of it, even tried to emulate it at some point. It also had a spectacular russian localization, if I may add, on par with the original in terms of quality.
They need to remaster this and bring it to the ps5. I loved this game but didn’t get to finish it.
god I love this game, makes me wanna set up my PS3 again just to play it.
I’ve seen a lot gut-wrenching and disgusting stuff stuff in games, but that General Tiger battle just had me squeamish throughout the entire fight.
This is the first PS3 game I played on the device years ago. I still have it to this day.
One of the few games if I play I must complete , it’s that good . I heard that the creator wants to make a sequel
I loved this game so much! The intro where the gigantic bear ripped the kids head literally made me gawk in horror due to it looking like a game for kids!
Did anyone else notice the generals are all zodiac animals?
Would say this is one of my most favourite childhood games that I've never played as I didn't own a PS3. Sad that it's so underrated since the story, style and gameplay is absolutely amazing and charming. I always come back to watching full playthroughs so I really hope it gets a re-release for the PS4 or even a Switch port
I’m glad this rare game is getting more attention.
This game needs a rerelease on more consoles.
47:02 Im more concerned with the mannequin bust on the smokestack 49:51 Ahhhhh, that explains it
I remember this! I watched Iballisticsquids playthrough it was so fun to watch. the art style is so pretty
How did I not realise for a bit that the generals are the Chinese zodiac animals
Interesting mechanics in the game that surprised me. Didn’t expected that coming but it’s great!
A game with nice personality.
Gosh this is my favorite game of all times, i loved everything about it. I hope i get to replay it again one day.
Finally a game that I can watch in HD seen this man it so underrated but. I love puppeteer
More people need to play this game, there's barely any playthroughs on youtube.
i remember this game years ago but couldnt remember the name but now this showed up and all the memorys are coming back
pretty good game it reminds me of sack boy
I saw that game like years ago but forgot about it. Thank you so much for bringing happy memories of my childhood
This game reminded me of the other game where you play as that teddy bear
Thank you for doing this, my friend! I’d love it for this game to have more fans! Who’s your favorite boss in this game?
So wait is the little bear moon bear king?
After Shovel knight now we have Scissor Guy. Great gameplay❤❤❤
Funny thing about Scissor Guy; did you know that Kutaro was originally called ScissorDude during the development of the game!
I personally find this Game to be a little disturbing. I mean look at how you defeat General Tiger you straight up cut of his teeth and claws and of course you have the whole thing about soul's i just find it a little disturbing. Feel free to like this comment if you feel the same way.(Or don't it's up to you)
I was searching for this game entire years!!!!! Now im happy to die to finally know its name!
I just remembered kutaro's name to remember lol
HOW have I never heard of this game?? Its so cool! I love the sassy sidekick chick.
OH MY GOD I REMEMBER THIS! I don’t know if Stampy ever finished the game.
Fantoccio would love this game!
Brrooooo, the actual most underrated game I know !
I remember beating this gane first fuckin try, the most fun ive had playing a game
1:19:04 Ah! So close concerning the Latin here! I think what Rabbit was actually trying to say here was, "Concalo ab gladii auricularius!" Considering that Rabbit is a magician here, saying,"I summon swords from the ears!" this way in Latin makes more sense, given the clarity over brevity rule of Latin. "Gladius" is singular, not plural, and "Auriculus" is incorrect.
My Favorite indie game ever
Ya know if they ever consider porting this game to the switch I'd be amazed since all they had to do is change the buttons for then Nintendo controls :v
Should they remastered puppeteer in your opinions?
idk u, but for me, the dark lanters remind me of tiki kong, the final boss of donkey kong country return
Wow...I never heard about this game. They need to bring it back to all platforms
this was made by Studio Japan so this would still only be PS exclusive
I remember playing this when it got on ps3 ps plus monthly games… was so fun
Looks like it was ahead of its time
GOD I LOVE THIS FUCKING GAME
One of the best games of the ps3
I love that peter lorre sounding sidekick
I'm curious to know how many people remember this game.
I’m kind of upset that I can’t play this game because it’s on the PlayStation 3. It looks really good. Also I love the dragons voice he almost sound Yiddish.😆
ps3 emulator RPCS3 😐
@@RetroWolfraxAshriel oh…yeah, I kind of forgot emulators exist🤦🏼♀️🤣
@@Choujifangirl wow👏👏👏👏
@@RetroWolfraxAshriel yeah I know I’m a Dingus 🤣
Has anyone made a 100% walkthrough of this yet? If not, can someone please do it?
I think my only critique is that cutscenes feel WAY too fast, especially the ending. There’s just so much movement it’s hard to keep track of the everything, and the scene where he nearly forces us into being his friend has very little impact given that it’s undone in the matter of a few seconds.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble following things here and there.
That pirate had a kink 😂
I believe general monkey was a boss to but a long one
i've only seen up to snake in game play so thanks man.
Mmmm, this narrators voice sounds very familiar. Almost like Edwin blackard from Adventures in Odyssey
interesting combat and traversal mechanics, though i can see how those could have effected this game being extremely overlooked innovative has an unfortunate correlation in games with the term "finicky"
Why do i feel like this is a weird sequal to the darkest tale
