That cat is being extremely tolerant. It warned with a meow, then used the soft paw with no claws, and only threatened to bite without actually biting. He probably just doesn’t want to be touched at the moment, but he definitely appears pretty decently friendly.

Given the chunk missing from his ear, that's definitely a "respect my space boi". They're also my favorite types of cat to win over because they're also usually the best lap cats once you win their trust. Sweeter cats I find tend to not cuddle for very long, but cats like this will sit on your lap for hours or even spend all night sleeping right by you. IF and big IF you win their trust.

These Blue Russian cat breeds arent that affectionate but they are super intelligent 🧠. I used to own one when I was a child we called him Blue. He used to walk us to school and wait for us after school to go home and he fought off a pitbull one time for us when me and my little sister was walking home from school. God I loved that cat. 😢

Well that is ironically until my boyfriends cat trained me to get up at 5am 🕔 in the morning every morning to let him out so he can pee, then let him back in for his breakfast which better be fresh & waiting for him! Russian Blue; they have green eyes. British Blue has yellow, and Chartreux has orange eyes. All 3 are beautiful cats.

If it's a stray, it's most likely a wide variety, unless it's a short generation of run-away cats. The face is rather big and mainecoon shaped, could have some British short hair in there with a small % of Russian blue. The shape of the face (Ron Pearlman-esque) screams mainecoon. Just because the coat is of the blue/gray tint, it's not indicative of a specific (breed). My guess is 20% mainecoon 9% British shorthair 2%russian blue 1% Persian Maybe some Norwegian forest cat And a % of unidentified domestic shorthair + % of other varieties that are hard to tell without the DNA My bad if I sound like a jerk, it's not intended. Just trying to help ID - we've done several genetic tests on various cats. My guess can and is most likely too far off like most of our guesses, but the variety is probably the most likely. Look at my cat's pic in the photo and let me know what you think. *edit* I looked again and definitely see more British short hair than I guessed before. Either way, a gorgeous/handsome cat! ❤️ 🐈

It has taken me a long time to understand this behavior in my furry companion. She loves to be around me but doesn't always want to be touched and she lets out warning meows, swats and bites. The more i push through, the more violent she gets.... Cats are such curious creatures and im happy to have one as a friend.
Well you said it the more you push. If you stop and just chill without attempting to stroke then they become relaxed, you may even get head bumps.
