the bank robbery shootout from heat
Watch mojo do a list called Top 10 Times the villain was more entertaining/Interesting or cooler than the heroes or main character
No. Not without incident.
@_Cinenerd_ no you weren't kid
Fun montage. But how can you miss Hugo Weaving's last fight scene in "V for Vendetta"?
The scene in Equilibrium where all of John Preston's emotional turmoil suddenly comes to a screeching halt, and the lie detector tracing flatlines, and his face goes stone cold as he utters "No, not without incident......." and its instantly clear that Cleric John Preston was about to unleash the wrath of God on the corrupt council....... just gives me goosebumps
That film is so bad, but it's always been a guilty pleasure of mine and my favorite sci-fi B film. Until Upgrade released anyway. While I still enjoy Equilibrium for all its goofy badassery, if you have not seen Upgrade yet, I can't recommend it enough. But do not watch any trailers for it, just read some reviews. The trailers absolutely spoil many of the best scenes.
I’m so glad Equilibrium is getting recognition it deserves!
Great movie!
Great movie
"No. Not without incident"
Sooooo underrated
I was just rewatching clips of it 2 says ago for the first time in over a decade and then I see this thumbnail lol perfect timing
Blade, the opening blood sprinkler rave fight
bus fight scene in “Nobody” was a recent classic
Especially his smile....... that was just SWEEEEET...
The bar scene from Desperado is a good action scene
100 percent agree. Has to be on this list unless on a shootout list. About to go see.
“The bartender always lives!”
Captain America VS. Winter Soldier (1st fight) is definitely one of my favorites.
It might not be as "iconic" a film, but the bus scene from Nobody is so freaking bad-ass!
Obi Wan and Qui Gon vs Maul is a great action scene. I remember going to see The Phantom Menace a couple times in theatres mostly just to see that fight alone. The music, the tension and faster lightsaber action made that scene one of the greats 🙌
"The Matrix's bullet time scene is a groundbreaking moment in action cinema.
I’m so happy you included Kill Bill on this list! However, I really think you should’ve had the first coliseum battle from Gladiator on this list as well. To see Maximus and his men not only win a battle they were supposed to lose, but win the favor of the Roman crowd as well is just mesmerizing! It’s the one scene I ALWAYS make sure I watch when it’s on!
Are you not entertained? Those lines.
Aliens, the final fight should have been a top 3. It's a masterpiece of practical effects that's never been equalled.
Yes! The queen alien still sends chills to my spine everytime i think of her. The robot Ripley is in is so iconic as well .
v for vendetta scenes are also great* i can add "you shall not pass" from lotr*
*the bullet scene from the matrix is cinema gold. Only Keanu reeves could pull this role off.*
If Brandon Lee had lived he would have been perfect as Neo
Steve Odekirk literally did it right after.
Would of got shot there if he was alive
You left out the fact that Blade was the first movie to use bullet time.😊
Angie Jolie vs McAvoy in Wanted.
"Equilibrium " is one of my fave movies...Older ppl may have seen "Fahrenheit 451", which is the temperature of burning books...they both are dystopian society that the ppl in them were basically stripped from any emotion....Artwork, music, soft fabrics, and books are the illegal items...in "Equilibrium " , all of the ppl took this certain medicine that dulled out all emotions...both of these movies are really good!!!
Especially the scene, where he hears beethoven.. obviously music for the first time at all.. amazing work.
The train wreck from The Fugitive - my husband had to rewatch it every time we watched the movie (and it was one of his favorites!)
The church scene in Kingsmen is awesome, but the car chase at the beginning of the 2nd movie (set perfectly to Prince's Let's Go Crazy) and the end of the first movie....with Eggsy taking out thr guards at the bunker, with their heads explosing in tune with the 1812 overture is very memorable!!!
Mr & Mrs Smith, the house fight scene
The fight at the end of ‘Man From Nowhere’ was pretty epic.
John Wick using guns and nunchucks is another action scene worth rewatching.
Arc De Triomphe all the way through the end of the stairs scene is what I would've given it. But let's be real, we were ALL taken aback by the night club shootout.
No car doors drifting and shooting.
The Flat / Bathroom fight scene in The Bourne Ultimatum between Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) and Desh (Joey Ansah). This scene and many other scenes are what won Editor Christopher Rouse an Academy Award for best editing. Not that I care about the oscars or hollywood, but the choreography, tight filming and editing, make this scene where it ends in a small Moroccan bathroom, something very well done. Very re-watchable.
That one long note signalling John Preston going nuclear is one of the best scenes ever.
Absolutely! "Not without incident."
Man, Jackie Chan's drunken Master 2 fight at the end is among one of the best fights in cinema history and one of Jackies best.
One of his all time best fights is in 1984's Wheels on Meals against Benny "The Jet" Urquidez.
@@tacoenvy thats a good one too, his fights in gorgeous, Armour of god an who am i? Are also stand outs as well.
@@Punisher6791 Oh dude, the rooftop fight in Who Am I is so damn awesome, love that one.
"They Live" fight scene was a good one
Trinity's "dodge this" line is one of the movies movie line that are just unforgettable to me. That entire scene is just amazing
Equilibrium is so underrated!
Maybe twenty years ago, nobody would have expected 3 movies starring Keanu Reeves to be on this list (including in the #1 spot) giving him the most spots on it. The only other actors with a starring role to have more than one here are Chow Yun-Fat and Charlize Theron, with two entries each. Kind of amazing there aren't more stars with more than one entry.
Return of The King. Battle of Pelannor fields.
Good list. A few I didn’t see: The Professional, House of Flying Daggers, and Hero. Also, not quite the same, but Last of the Mohicans final chase scene has to be up there for me.
the fight scene by ash against his hand should've been an honorable mention at least 😂 dude had a front flip ftw
You forgot the scenes from Matrix Reloaded; Neo versus Merovingian's goons in the castle and the highway chase.
Harrison Ford outrunning the train derailment in "The Fugitive "
Great list! Two movies I would try to find a spot for would be Fist of Legend (so many good fight scenes to choose from) and Kill Zone (alley fight with Donnie Yen)
Another Christopher Nolan scene to add is the Oslo fight from Tenet, how the Protagonist is fighting himself in forward time and backwards time.
District 9 has two amazing scenes(headquarters & final fight) and the village scene in Predator can be re-watched for years.
The Nice car chase scene in Ronin is one of the best car chase scenes on film, ever. Big miss there. The 20-minute long “one-take” from Extraction 2 is recent, but should definitely be in this list.
Another great car chase was in the Bourne Identity with the mini. The Ronin chase was so much more impressive than fake silliness like the Fast & the Furious films. The same holds true of the realistic, tense action of the film and others, such as Heat, when compared to John Wick, Kill Bill, and the recent Beekeeper.
Dark Knight opening scene...Laurence Fishburne slicing up trucks with a samurai sword and shoots it during a high-speed car chase with dreadlocked ghost assassins.
the scene from gone in 60 seconds with Eleanor the Shelby GT 500 the chase scene
The Wild Bunch last action scene should of made the top 30 list.
The chase scene from To Live and Die in LA is one not to miss.
wick 4 was incredible. This was a perfect ending if they stop here.
Hallway scene in The Batman is short but amazing!! How they connect the score to the bullet flares and lighting is phenomenal
Thanks for posting about this ❤
Crouching Tiger. No CGI baby.
Kung fu hustle is missing
The list missed 'The Dark Knight' Batman-Joker-Harvey Dent chase scene (the truck flip)
She did say superhero movies wouldn't be featured
Great now I want to watch the Matrix again for the 1000th time lol I would add the pod racer scene from Star Wars Ep 1. So good and the audio is top notch
Treetop fight scene is great, but Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon's duel between Jen vs. Shu Lien would be number 1 on this entire list for me. Absolutely beautiful and gripping in its simplicity. No camera tricks, no stunt doubles, no CGI. Just two masters displaying their craft.
Thanks for meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
I watched Heat just for the shoot out scene more than I'd like to admit. ❤
Kill Bill 1 and Terminator 2 should be the top 2 picks, they are both my favourite action films of all time
I'm pretty sure at least one action scene from True Lies should be in this list.
Speaking of jackie chan, i never get tired of the fight scenes in Rumble In The Bronx. Nobody uses the environment like jackie
Robert Patrick was too good during the start of the dirt bike chase. The first take was unusable, because in his words, "I caught the kid." He had to slow down.
Daylight scene when Stallone is going thru the vent is awesome!
John McClane jumping of the nakatomi plaza is definitely my most favorite action moment of all time, shane that I never watched the movie before until 2020 decades around the holiday season.
I like the addition of the kitten in the Bruce Lee- Chuck Norris fight. It's a cute addition and you can never go wrong with kittens in a movie.
Die Hard, Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones are my favourites.
The temple escape from Raiders should be much higher on this list considering how iconic it is and established Indiana Jones as a character in his the first 12 minutes of his screen debut.
One thing about the temple escape that isn't pointed out enough: Everyone in these sequences is a muggle who neither expects nor wants to be a badass, and Indy's reaction to suddenly being asked to badass his way out of that temple is priceless. It's when that boulder suddenly drops toward him, his jaw drops, and you can all but hear him yell: "OH ... SHIT!!!"
- Car chase scene from Ronin - Leeloominaï Lekatariba-Lamina-Tchaï, Ekbat de Sebat's fight scene against the Mengalore set to Diva Plavalaguna's "Diva Dance" from The Fifth Element - Armored truck heist scene from Heat (not better necessarily but much more memorable and rewatchable than the bank heist exit shootout for me) - Paris and Tangier fight scenes from The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Ultimatum - 12 minute One-Shot fight and car chase scene from Extraction - Laura's introduction fight scene against Reavers from Logan - Vampires' rave party fight scene from Blade - Club fight scene from Collateral - Frank Dux vs. Chong Li from Bloodsport ...to name a few (^^,)
children of men was so depressing, but yes it was awesome.
And beautifully hopeful.
OK, OK, I'll agree that the "Bullet time" scene was pivotal in cinematic history..... it's still the freeway scene that we all go back to watch. All the cars and bullets and trucks and mayhem..... never gets tiring.
The canyon run in Maverick is pretty good.
The fact that Keanu reeves has 3 iconic action scenes is amazing. Also you missed out face off (1997) window scene. You guys really love mad max fury road. You put something about it in every list 🥴🤣🤣
I watched this video calmly, cooly, completely without incident.
The fight between Optimus Prime and the 3 Decepticons in Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen is always rewatchable, as is Optimus Prime going after Megatron in Autobot City from the 1986 animated movie.
I lived on the next avenue over from the French Connection train chase. I remember my mom telling me they were filming a movie on 86th street, but it’s probably not going to be ‘anything big’. She was definitely wrong. Same avenue and train as the opening scene in Saturday Night Fever that John Travolta is walking along😮
Heat is still amazing, the fact it was shown in police acadamy's cements that shootout as a legend. If your a gun nerd, 100% amazing movie to watch.
I whisper, "not without incident" to myself at least once a week
Keanu Reeves is an action GOAT
Rope bridge scene in the Temple of Doom. Some chase scenes in The Blues Brothers. Star Trek Into Darkness: Crashing the USS Vengeance and fight.
Heat, I know it mainly because it was one of many heist films that inspired Payday.
If I could add more to the list, Aliens had several really iconic scenes, mainly the one where they ambush the marines from the ceiling, and the final fight with the cargo loader. Also, the movie Deathproof has some really incredible car chase scenes. Loved seeing Mad Max Fury Road on here. That movie is non stop.
The Ambush scene in Last of the Mohicans is a favorite of mine. Another is The Charge at Beersheba in The Lighthorsemen. It's truly heart pounding.
One of my favorite scenes is the Samurai vs. Army battle in the Last Samurai. Another is the fire fight with the barbarians in Gladiator.
Kill Zone/SPL. Donnie Yen vs. Wu Jing fight. Also, B13's parkor chase. And, Apocalipto's chase scene with the panther/jaguar. Lastly, Wanted. Viper ride
Bullitt is the best car chase of all time, it started it all
I probably would have included the Drug Factory Raid scene in the 1987 Robocop; complete with the "arrest" at the end of it.
Pretty good list overall. Not sure which I've watched more though between the kitchen scene in The Raid 2 and the final trio fight in The Raid Redemption. Also, you put the rightful film in the number one spot, but picked the wrong scene. The lobby scene right before that is actually more viewed and it, combined with the scene you actually showed were the two scenes in conjunction that have been home theater surround tests since this film first hit DVD and then every iteration later until now with the UHD. Surprised you left out the highway scene from Reloaded though, unless you didn't want to list more than one film from any given franchise. In more recent times, I've used the club scene from John Wick as another home theater test. The dynamics and just overall flow of that scene are fantastic, and that's definitely the highlight of the first film. Funny how Reeves is in two of the top three most watched action scenes.
Great video👏, but it lacked honorable mentions such as: Bloodsport 1988, Independente 1996, The Transpoter 2002 and Ramb1982. Who knows in the next video👍.
The final shoot out with Kawada and Kiriyama in battle Royale needs a spot
Keanu Reeves was also suffering from a high fever when the Red Circle shootout was filmed. Just goes to show Keanu was the perfect choice to play John Wick, because he too is a man of focus, commitment, and sheer will.
Perfect list. I now want to spend all day just watching these scenes! Also the initial T-Rex attack from Jurassic Park, but that's probably more suspense than action. Man, I can't wait till my kids are old enough to watch some of these movies with me.
Say hello to my lil friend...
1 set the stage for a lot of video game stuff too. It's very common for slow-mo modes that represent a character having super natural reflexes to be called 'bullet time'.
RRR animal breaking scene is the Most Rewatched
12:10, It's amazing that with ALL that CGI the safe never once looks or gets dented. With all that force and getting smashed into concrete and tumbling over, it STILL is intact like nothing happened! Hahaha 😁
So you would add Children of Men "Drive by" but not that scene from Blade where Snipes take down Deacon Frost's henchmen accompanied by a "Struck by Lightning?" You had only one job Watch MOJO, just the one! Also Blade featured bulletime a year prior to The Matrix.
@AllSystemsActivated Not to mention Rebecca's presentation reads like a Chat gpt script.
Those in the church rows found out the hard way why bringing a firearm to a church meeting can only end one of two ways: peacefully or in blood. They chose the latter. But seeing Indy outrun the boulder after snagging the Hovitos fertility idol stands out for a reason within the _Indiana Jones_ universe.
Well I can "Equilibrium ", is one the most underrated Christian Bale movies ever !But one his greatest movies ever ! Which is a most watched movie to see ,and like Sean Bean is it as well .Plus it was before those got real famous in other movies ,I mean world wide famous that is .
Bus fight from "Nobody" would fit nicely here.
I've never agreed with a list more. YES!!
How did the shootout from Heat not make the top 5? And yeah, the entire time I was waiting for the Matrix Lobby Shootout to be at #1.... also, what about Luke and Vader in Return of the Jedi finale? Still, great video, I enjoyed every bit of it.
The Bruce Lee fight in Enter the Dragon was way more impactful than the one with Chuck Norris that was too commercialized and I hope you have some Jet Li in here in the countdown Ninja Assassin
The opening fight between Hanzo Hasashi and Bi Han's Lin Quai clan from Mortal Kombat 2021.
Darth Vader's hallway entrance in Rogue One should have been included on this list.
The beginning of the fight in part 2 of The Matrix leading up to the Highway Scene fight is the best fight in all of the trilogy in my opinion
MI: Fallout bathroom fight scene was fire 🔥
Ace of Spades scene from Shoot Em Up and the freeway scene from Matrix Reloaded
Keanu Reeves is in this list 3 times. Interesting.
That iconic scene in Kill Bill vol. 1 when she cut all those henchmen down was the best!
