  • Not too much I can do to defend J.T. here. I still love him, and I do love that he's so frustrated with where the team is at... but yeah I've also never seen where it's the thing to do to have the goalie pulled while you skate toward him. Not sure what J.T. was thinking here. Also yes, Delia reading at the back of the plane... love that man haha

  • Let’s not forget, this is the 3rd string goalie who stopped 35 of 38 shots, for a .921 sv pct, for a team that was outshot 38-22. JT Miller had 0 points and was a -1, -13 for the season. He has a reputation for turnovers late in games that lead to goals. If I’m a guy who isn’t even a regular roster player, I’m staying out and playing it safe until I get clear direction from the coach to leave. He wasn’t just sitting there. He’d come out of the crease to look for the signal and had a Jets player in his face. Would Miller have done this to Demko? And this is the guy that many fans thought should be captain over Bo. Well, they may get their wish when Horvat and Kuzmenko both leave because the team can’t afford either. That OEL contract doesn’t seem so bad right now. He’s not been as good this year, but at least he’s better defensively than that idiot. And the Canucks can score with or without Miller. He’s a net liability out there.

  • It’s always up to the head coach when to pull the goalie. Often players will “ think” it’s time to pull a goalie, and generally they’re wrong. What Miller did was very soccer like. Which I hate. Miller was wrong and his team knows that. Hopefully Bruce took him aside and told him so. You cannot have the inmates run the asylum.

This was something I might expect to see at 1130pm in an empty rink in a pickup game not in the NHL. This should not come as a surprise for many of us who have followed Millers career. GM's around the league were in no hurry to sign this guy last year this only adds to the this players lack of character.
