  • Salmond, though i disagree with his politics, is a great debater and he is not up his own arse and he is funny and knows how to take the piss and not whine when it's batted back.

  • Im a Celtic and Man Utd fan have huge respect for his achievements as a player did ok at management but always comes across and says it as it is just like Roy Keane and the RTE soccer panel tells it as it is. Alex Brought out the best in him.

  • I grew up in the same working class housing scheme/estate in Edinburgh as Souness.. Saughton Mains, it's called. The year is 1979 and he's just played against England at Hampden Park in the then Home International tournament. I was 13 at the time and me and my pals gathered outside his mum's building, anticipating he would come to visit her after the game. He duly turned up in a car with his brother and we were in absolute awe as he walked from the car into the stair and up to his mother's top floor flat. Plucking up the courage, I went up the stair and rang the doorbell. He answered and seemed like giant to me. I asked for his autograph and he handed went back inside then returned with signed picture cards for us. Fast forward to 1986 and there I am, when he was manager of Rangers, his personal security at a boxing event in Livingston. True story. Isn't life crazy?

  • Celtic fan here he was a top class midfielder and hard as nails But as for England no i fancy again France the team England seem to fail against time and again . But i dont want France to win it for sure ..Always shall be a team break through in Euros or a World cup and do very well who were not as fancied who shall be that team Scotland > No chance sadly . If this was 70s then West Germany would have won it ..Today Germany Not .
