  • It’s always the oldest who is the most damaged. They know/remember everything and sad part is they will never talk about it, not even to their younger siblings. Love my brother for taking charge of the house when my mom was out working to provide.

    • Sadly my brother never took charge and left so I had to and it’s always been so much pressure especially now I want to start my own life with my boyfriend but I always fall back to being there for my mom

    • @@angelitaheredia6534 ooo girl I feel you. My brother ended up leaving after a bit (I don’t blame him, he had to start his own life/family) so I also took charge of the house. It was difficult. And I totally understand where you’re coming from, it almost feels like you’re being selfish for thinking about your personal life and future because you want to be there to help your mother. Just know that your mom will understand when the time does come and you have to fly and make your own nest 💜 you did enough love.

    • Same here. To 9 of my brothers and sisters and my 6 little cousins. Now I have 2 sons of my own 😇. I will never and always love and appreciate how naturally I became a mom. Yes I too had a hard life and had damage and now I suffer with depression and anxiety. I take it day by day and pray every night.

  • The whole video i was bawling, nobody knows the struggle immigrants parents go through more than their kids. I remember McDonald's was a luxury to my siblings and i because we couldn't even afford that. Que duren para siempre los papas que vinieron sin nada y les dieron todo a sus hijos !!

    • Yes one of the memories that lives forever in my head is the time I turned 10 and all I asked for was a dinner at McDonald’s! My parents did buy it for me and my 5 siblings and I felt like the luckiest person ever !🥺

    • Yes!! When I was little we had a McDonald’s at a walking distance down the street. My mom would dress my sister and I in matching dresses and we would go to McDs for happy meals. Happy meals were everything bc we barely had money but my parents made sure they treated us for a small treat. 😘

  • They went through hell and back but they still found a way to be happy and laugh with each other and support each other through their trauma. Their mom was an amazing mom to be working through 3 jobs to support 6 kiddos. Now look at them successful with beautiful kiddos of their own.

I've always been weary around men when I was small and my mom was very aware but my friend is choosing her man rn over her chikd even tho he's almost 18 but she let her man threaten to beat him up and he's my godson so I'm livid thinking about it so I can't wait to run into him but it sucks cus I know my friend won't talk to me once I confront him 😒

  • You can tell they hide there hurt through laughter. You guys are so strong. Therapy would truly help heal your heart. It can teach you how to cope with situations. How to avoid passing your traumas onto your children. I’m sorry this has happened to you guys but it shows your true strength.

    • @@mytzylorenzo9481 at first not really I felt like God help me so much in healing. Also my bf has helped me so much mentally. But since COVID my mental health has been suffering due to my grandma died a few months ago. It is my last semester and honestly I am trying to pass my classes bc I am almost there and I want to be over with it already. I feel like my past trauma has been slowing coming back in my mind and I start to remember little things due to my grandmother death. Also I feel a sense of loneliness. That I definitely need to seek therapy once I am done. I have two more weeks until the semester is done!

  • Honestly what Jennie said “just because you have a dad doesn’t mean you’ll have a good dad.” was always my biggest consolation for not having a dad.. I used to get in my feels sometimes and then I’d be like maybe good didn’t give me a dad bc the one that was supposed to be was a bad person and he saved me from that..

  • It’s unbelievable how our mothers are alike in a way because when you said “my mom chose us over a boyfriend” that touched my heart because my mom is a single mom, she went through the most and she does everything for me and my sister without any help. Our mothers are independent strong women❤️

  • Foster kids have a different kind of heart. My nephews were the sweetest kids, it sucks my sister couldn’t leave her addiction and get them back. It hurts me even more because I wasn’t old enough to gain custody myself during their trial. I’m FINALLY financially stable enough to care for all of them and they’ve already been adopted. All I can do now is wish the best for them and hope to cross paths with them again someday. I couldn’t imagine how hard it was for Elsys mom to lose custody because when my nephews were taken, I was heart broken (and my bond with them is probably nothing compared to a mother/child bond)

  • My mom couldn’t afford me and my sister when we were 5 & 3 so she just dropped us off at my dads job and left and my dad had to quit work to take care of us alone as a single father and he ended up getting full custody of us until we were 18 my mom was always in and out of prison and didn’t try putting us first we’re now 28 & 25 and now she’s just a friend to us ! We gave my dad so much props cuz raising to daughter alone isn’t easy !

  • am i the only one so happy to see this side of elsy? im so glad you decided to bring your sisters to your channel. I know they were all really nervous but they all seem so fun, humble and honest. i think you should definitely do more videos with them i just know eventually they will open up more and feel more comfortable and honestly i loved the vibes this video gave me. i had a really hard upcoming to and this video just felt like home.. idk its hard to explain but thank you so much for sharing all this with us and for letting us in.

I was also a teen mom with a son in a group home at 17 my son who was 7 months at the time it was called new Beginnings group home in California and being there I graduated at 17 take Advantage of the programs that they have there so when you’re 18 you and your daughter can be straight !!

    • Things will get better for you stay positive I definitely can relate I was in foster care my whole life growing up since I was 5 months old till I was 20 yrs old I was also pregnant at 17 in foster care with my son lucky for me the last home I was in with my son I was grateful to be in they also were there for my son as a single Mom! The system can be crazy and you do go through alot but got to stay Positive for you and your baby I'm 36 yrs old now with 3 kids married and own my own home I'm blessed Now! You will to 🙏❤

My bf and his family don’t see their extended family and with me I grew up with my cousins living in the same house and always going to parties etc with a big family. But now my bf somewhat ruined that for me and I don’t have that anymore. I only see my parents and it’s rare when I see my sisters/ nephews/nieces. It breaks my heart 😔 I’m glad you’re not that type of jealous that doesn’t want to see him happy with his family.

  • aww when your sister Patty said that it's a sensitive topic for her talking about how she has a different dad. You are loved and it's obvious that your sisters love you so much and don't see the difference. That doesn't make you any less family or any less special.
