Sincere respects for UP government for removing monopoly from alcohol business and giving middle class people the ability to open their own liquor shops. 25% of alcohol business in the state is run by women. This is no joke. Promoting women in the type of business that has shamed and kept women away for as long as possible and making them financially independent is a great achievement
Why can't they indulge in prostitution and earn money and be independent ? Gujarat is a dry state and banned liquor that is a role model not women running liquor shop is role model.

I am a resident of ghaziabad and I was always very curious about the fact that why had so many alcohol shops opened up suddenly near the area I live in. You could find an alcohol shop at every 3-5 mins distance on this main road. There is now even an alcohol shop just at walking distance from my home.

What I have observed is the worker class population is mostly buying from these stores, many of them seem to be happy about it whereas families might not be that much, Overall there isn't much resistance against these stores because these stores are not located near places like temples or schools and so most people don't seem to care that much. All of these are my personal observations and your answer may vary depending on who you ask this question to.

Proud to say, I have never drunk any sort of Alcohol in 20 years of my life as a guy. And Never will. I have seen too many families destroyed and Alcohol was the main culprit. Gen-Z is the soberest generation till date and I'm proud of that. I would suggest everyone the same, to never drink alcohol, smoke, etc. As you start from a little and in a second you will be the next addicted one. Much love❤

At first when Yogi was choosen as CM , I was not happy I thought he must be an orthodox baba type person with zero sense of governance but Yogi government has proved me wrong , Their policies like ODOP , improved liquor policy , redevelopment of tirtha kshetra to increase revenue from tourism, also it was fear of Yogi government that Gangster culture has minimised to large extent. His ambitions are like what Narendra Modi's ambition for Gujarat , He is attracting bussiness, Dealing with some peaceful community very aptly , thinking some out of the box ideas for long term development of state like creating an educational city ,IT city, Medicity etc also he recently announced that Lucknow will be developed as India's first AI city

First time I saw IIT (one of the safest institutions) BHU student got raped by BJP IT cell leaders but neither Buldozer nor encounter was done. 3. Recently a BJP MLA from Sonbhadra was Sentenced to 25 years imprisonment by court because he raped a 14 year girl (At that time he was a husband of Pradhan but was promoted by Yogi and given MLA ticket and he won) 4. Still most of street vendors in my Rajasthan are from UP.
Meanwhile Gujarat is still performing well in terms of economy despite being a dry state. Just imagine if alcohol would have allowed in Gujarat it must be the state with highest GDP in the country

As a resident of Ghaziabad, UP, I can testify to the facts stated in this video are absolutely true. It was a standard practice in UP to give 20-25rs more than the MRP even while buying a quarter of WHISKEY. Then everything changed after YOGIJI came. And the talks in town were that YOGIJI finished the Nexus of Ponty Chaddha.
just sayin but The boost in alchol revenue is due to the ban of alchol in Bihar. People often smuggle liquor from Uttar Pradesh and sell it in black ofc and Even though on a daily basis 100s litre of alchol is caught but rest still make it way in The state of Bihar.

That Maruti Car must have been in Millions,whenever he would roam around the streets of Moradabad it sounded liked live DJ from far away which made all of us mesmerized. He has a big Haweli @ Pili Kothi Moradabad. Legends say they had 26 Mercedes lined up in their house back in 90's. The guy who killed Ponty Chaddha has its Haweli @ Bajpur Uttrakhand roughly 45 miles off Moradabad. I don't know anyone of them but being from Moradabad I have very closely watched/observed them since my childhood.

Solution is not ban liquor, it will create more problems as bans can't be enforced for population and state in India for such a addicting commodity (observe the events of American Prohibition) I think that formalizing the liquor business under a good government policy should be way forward with opening up of de - addiction centers and hospital, like what some American states are doing with recreational marijuana

UP is indeed a peculiar state, One with a strong developmental streak and also a disparity in the geographical economic asset distribution. Your video goes around to show how unique UP has been in terms of a variety of polity, economics and demography. The current govt is also inept in realising this in a more ingenious way but it has no idea on the way these trends are going to fare in the future and more creative ways can still be adopted as the state has yet to tap into its unreserved potential in other ergonomic and agronomy sector as well as service provision.
