Who is listening in 2023 ? :)
Eu, no Brazil ,2023..
Always and forever
✌️
Of course!
As a child I thought you had to choose between two options with everything. Poke'mon or Digimon, Nintendo or Sega ect. At the time I was a fan of Limp Bizkit (I was 12) so when I heard about this other two word band that started with "L" I thought I had to choose! So unfortunate LOL

Moi et jusqu'à ma mort
It's rare that I would listen to an entire album and not skip a single track. This is one of those instances.
same. one of the few albums i know every word to every song.
Me too! Can’t believe it’s now 24 years old! Was into Limp Bizkit at the time n my mate played me the first Slipknot album in 1999 I believe n I became a true “Nu Metaller” lol. But when I heard this (another mate leant me it) I was totally blown away! Geeze I was 20 years old, now 44 n still listening to it 😂
What who

I skip the Mr han thing
It boggles my mind when I realize: 1. This album has no bad songs 2. This was their debut album 3. It was released 22 years back 4. They went unorthodox with Rap-Rock WITH a DJ in the mix. IMO this combination will be difficult to execute well even today, more so 22 years back. 5. Almost every other song in Hybrid Theory still holds relevance, both lyrically and musically. You won't be missed Chester, or Linkin Park for that matter; you'll forever be in our hearts and souls. \m/
The fact that they followed this album up with Reanimation and Meteora, both absolute masterpieces, speaks volumes about their talent.
exactly right brother, every song is an actual masterpiece in this album
its nu-metal garbage

These tracks feel so different now
AGREED To me Chester connects with every man. BUT your life is better than like that. The feelings he felt we understand . NOT taking your life. I don't get that.
@@markfromct2 Everyone has their own struggles. Chester had his and we lost him unfortunately. Still a legend who could be an angel or demon on mic
Bro kept me alive when I was a teen broke my heart when he passed
One of the best examples of a consistent album. Literally every song is a banger.
thats true!
Still as much now as then...legends
It’s what the people want
The Thriller for the nu metal era
Killswitch Engage, Alive or Just Breathing. The Prodigy, Fat of the Land. Metallica, Black Album, The Faceless, Akeldama.... There's so many more I could list in so many genres
Everytime I want to give up, I get back to Linkin Park. This album got me through my teenage years, and now that I am 30 it is still doing so much and it is still so relevant. Thank you for getting me through all those years Chester.
My childhood best friend killed himself. One thing he did do was introduce me to This band and this song. I know he is forgiven for his sins considering the psychological damage he had. He was a fighter. Don’t give up steve we believe in you. Its not the end yet. Reach out if you ever need anything my brother in Christ. ❤️
Same for me but I turned 40

almost 23 years to the day this album was released, and this album is still the ultimate banger
23 years + since I was born. I so dearly wanted to go to their concert. :( I never did.
The nostalgia and relevance still in those lives affected still resound as they did on the day of release, well for 2 weeks after the initial release. As with all their albums, wonderful to the soul and psyche
I was alive for all their releases, able enough to go as well, but I never did, and now Chester is gone… if I can go to a band that hits as hard as these guys did, I will. We never know what tomorrow brings.
@@It-b-BlairJust be happy we got what we did. The music lives on and that'll never change. Chester's voice, one of a kind. I've heard imitators for many singers but I've never heard anyone like Chester. My single one and only bucketlist musician is Buckethead. If I never see him in concert that's ok, he's probably the best musician alive, I'm super grateful he left us hundreds of albums already. Linkin Park probably was amazing live, I'm old as dirt I was a teenager when they were touring I should've gone to see them. At least I had their albums and watched their videos when they all came out, they were probably the most consistent and best rock band around for their era. Super high level production across the board, super dynamic but also easy on the ears, bangs hard but is also fun and easy to listen to.
This shit hits so hard mentally physically emotionally....
Got this CD for christmas in 2000. Still here baby!
Great Christmas present!

very good present! i never got an album for christmas atm haha
Me too! 🖤❤🖤
As a child I was introduced to Linkin Park by a slightly older friend and liked the songs since then, but he recently passed away of cancer at the age of 33. Now these songs hit really hard on the feelings
How old are you now?
@@elmarmol2650 30 atm, this happened 3 years ago
It will get better. I lost a close friend to cancer when she was only 25, and it just feels so pointless because she neither got to live a full life. Despite it all she always told me there is always good in the bad, and she was so right. _If we never felt pain, how would we ever know what good is..._

Be listning in 2060 brah
I never really liked music as a kid, never played songs... Until my dad bought this and told me to give it a listen... MIND BLOWN.. Been a fan ever sense! Listened to this probably 500 times no joke.
You never liked music as a kid?? Omg... How old are you? My sister said I was weird as a kid cos I'd spend most of my time sitting in my bedroom just listening to music nonstop... Music is the most important thing in my life, it's the physical manifestation of the soul. Must be something wrong with yrs (no insult intended)
Well I should say, I never liked the music my parents played and that's all I was exposed too.. Oldies and Folk. My dad probably got me this CD at 11-12 age, after that I was hooked!@@jacqst1717
I also didn't listen to music. And still don't most of the time. I like podcasts and tv shows and movies and videos games. That said I grew up with rhcp, Linkin park, Coldplay, Eminem, Dave Matthews band, no doubt and more....and loved them all. However most of the time I was reading books as a kid or playing with friends.
That's awesome! I love System of a Down (Toxicity), Limp Bizkit (Significant Other), Papa Roach (Infest), Metallica (first five albums are great!), but then I inclined toward progressive rock (like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Camel, Jethro Tull) and power metal (like Rhapsody of Fire, Helloween, Nigthwish) and the all time classics (like Beatles, Creedence, Michael Jackson). I hope you grow your musical tastes anyway... I find that music is a healer for me so I just thought I could share, cheers!

LP aged really well. Even today it's so good.
This album is what I consider a true album. An album where u can listen to each and every song without skipping any cuz each song is lit and on fire. R. I. P Chester never will be another voice like yours. I hope you finally found your peace. Love the rest of the guys in the band as well y'all r revolutionary
I think Meteora was evenly good.
I agree with u but also disagree I skip in the end Crawling And a few others They are too emo and boring and annoying to me
@@angieybarra8925 opinions vary and true albums are only reserved for the true fans. Ur a fan just not a true fan cuz if any of those songs annoyed you than ur prolly part of the Nickelback fanclub
@@codythomas1450 not the greatest assumption I don’t like nickel back I listen to metalcore And I’ve been a LP fan since 2nd grade I’m now 30 yo I also own hybrid theory and meteora in cd Call me what u want and assume what u want doesn’t bother me one bit.!
I will die on the hill that Hybrid Theory and Meteora is one of, if not, THE best back to back album releases by a single band in the history of music. There is not a bad song from start to finish, and so many phenomenal ones.
reanimation is as good, id say this is the golden trio, after that its all downhill
I mean....how to objectively define "the best." I guess by your definition you could look up that data. For instance, average sales or average units sold over two successive albums. Okay im nerding out right now.
Minutes to Midnight was quite a departure but still solid, altho not as good!@@michaelcirino6796

Music that touched the life of millions. Immortal.
True music is relevant no matter what time in history you live in. Immortal.
Been listening since a teenager, as an adult I relate the lyrics on a deeper level and I’m sorry chester. It’s hard. I hope you found the answers.
I was listening at this as a teenager, but i'm french back then was more about music, today i understand everything and i can relate so much on the lyrics and this one and meteora are talking to me so much and i swear i cannot hold my tears half of the time
Mixing genres like this on a debut album and being this damn good is sooo rare they made music that had 0 existing fanbase and BUILT that fanbase and 20+ years later that fanbase is still here... thats an absolutely monumental feat of talent
The fan base are also judgemental claffies full of hatred
And now they are coming back without Chester and getting a new vocalist, pathetic
Pretty sure I was 6, I'm 29 now. I found this album at a jockey lot (flea market) the artwork on the cover called to me and I begged my parents for $6.99 to buy it. Played it on my CD Player constantly and even though I really didn't understand the lyrics, The imagery painted from the emotion alone gave me a sense of peace and chaos, push pull, ying yang, and still to this day its a rush of nostalgia that reminds me of the wonder of youth and really helps put myself back together. It will follow me to the grave.
Damn you had good taste when you were super little!
One of the best albums ever
My mom got me this album when I was 5 or 6 years old. I would spend time in my bedroom doing air guitar and singing to it while jumping on my bed. It was a great escape from reality and the hardships of my childhood.

I have had this album playing at least twice every day for the past several months, it's like a soundtrack of my generation. Every track is great and reminds me of the younger days.

Many bands have come and gone in my life, in my list of favorites, but only one stayed consistently since I heard them in, probably, 6th grade. Resonates in every way a group of musicians could and should. It's sad I never got to seem my dream come true; never saw them live, and I so wish I could. I so wish that news was just a rumor, and that tragedy never occurred. All I can do is keep listening and keep remembering every moment of life, every second of music Linkin Park has made me cherish. Today, tomorrow, and forever, you will be my favorite music.
This album came out on the actual day I was born. It was destined I would love this band. This is still one of my favorite albums of all time. R.I.P Chester thank you for creating art that would stick with me forever.

One day we are gonna die anyways. It's inevitable so you might as well take your time. Tomorrow might be the day, but today we keep trying again.
so sad
That's not what he would have wanted - literally, everything in this album is "fighting to the last" and "not going quietly into the night". The fact he did is sad, but I see it as this album is him imspiring others to keep fighting - always. Never surrender! Ever!
Never give up brother.

This is my shit! I've been jamming to LP since I was like 11 or 12, about to be 34! When I was 16, the video for One Step Closer was on repeat on MTV (that tunnel will forever be in my memories) and everywhere else. They were new and there were a lot of bands with nu metal feel that were coming out. I couldn't get into it. At 17 I left home and joined the Army. Sometime after I got stationed in Korea in 2002, someone left their Hybrid Theory CD on a bus, I popped it in and gave it a listen and I found that I really liked it and I could relate. I didn't leave home at 17 for nothing. I've been a LP fan since then. Whomever, left their CD on the bus, sorry you lost it but thanks for leaving it.

I will always remember me and my uncle walking into Best Buy and he bought this and The Sickness, and 23 years ago, absolutely jamming on the way to this mall an hour away that had an absolutely sick arcade. One of my favorite childhood memories.

It is healing to listen to the music again and hear the pain in Chester's voice. I can identify, and their music got me through my 20s, when I had an extremely depressed period myself. I thank him for giving a voice to those of us that didn't have one

I feel this so hard. I am finally listening to LP, and it's been awhile. Chester was my middle school crush. The first male vocalist I truly enjoyed in rock music. It makes it even harder to listen to sometimes because it also reminds me that my childhood best friend is gone. LP was my favorite band and we used to enjoy their music together. Today I am facing the pain of both the loss of Chester and her as well.
