    @kristjanbirkisson3768@kristjanbirkisson37689 ай бұрын
    • No safety lines used when hauling or shooting the trawl. Crew always try to keep in mind to keep their feets at safe locations at all times. When climbing or doing any other work around the boat - they use safety lines.

  • Atlantic Viking is an awesome vessel, her crew can harvest an impressive amount of fish. The only thing that bothers me is that the deckhand’s way of clearing the deck is to kick the fish. That fish feeds the people and pays your bills. As a fisherman, I don’t give a shit what is said to justify what or how to clear the deck you should have respect for what you do.

  • Nice video with an easy going cameraman. The cutting is also cool. Making a documentary takes more time, than most people know. My next words writing is criticism, hope it´s okay. Some pictures from the fantastic Norway fjord and nature would only lift up everything in the start and at the end in this film. I miss to see a break or some telling info between setting the trawl out and in, about how many hours towing? The film could be quite shorter or combine and add pictures from the crew eating, having conversation and relaxing etc. Perhaps mixed nationalities? The background music is for free, I know, but it´s terrible, irrelevant, killing me so booring. Some friends or amatørs playing variant music on guitar, harmonika and singing would be much better and much more human, because thats for free. It´s also free to download and add some seagulls sound too. And to hear some of the true sound(noise) would be nice/autentic, just a bit. It is okay and free to look for and download from KZhead some fake sounds from wind, engine when making a documentary. Thanks for this film. Dont let my words destry any motification. Maybe I´ll cut your next movie.

    • There is very strict rules regarding the fishing industry. There is a total quota of each fish, and this varies in time. The Institute of Marine Research + other institutes checks the species several times each year, and decide to either lower to total quote or raise it - depending on many factors. The total quota is used by Norway, Russia and many other Europeen contries and the species is not allowed to fish without the correct permissions.

    • How about coming up with a solution? The global population require feeding. If someone suggested that the mature populations ought to become accustomed to eating less animal (including fish) protein, then I would agree. However, many of the environmental problems do not result from animal production but from products such as palm oil. So easy to make negative comments.
