  • I shot my biggest buck ever this year at the even of November the same day my grandmother passed. Just went and sat in the stand to clear my head and shot him at last light. The woods are my church too. Can’t ever imagine or understand gods whole plan we just have to trust it and go along with. Congrats man

    • I’m so sorry for your loss man.😔 Keep getting out there. It is just a beautiful place to be sitting in the stand. This is my first year with a bow I have been out in the stand 20 times just no luck. But it is a thousand times better than hunting on the ground with the rifle. Good for you. Congrats!

    • I shot my biggest buck the same year my best friend died of cancer in the most unlikely of circumstances. Like 10 degrees that morning and got out of the stand early because 1) I couldn't feel my feet, and 2) the coffee started hitting if you know what I mean. While finishing up the coffee doing its thing, he stepped out of the CRP at 25 yards following a doe and stood almost perfectly broadside. Amazing how those things happen.

  • This has been my absolute favorite video, and I’ve seen every single one. From the permission struggle, putt putt, the teamwork, the surgical shot placement when diversity hit, the God moment, your message to the average deer hunter, and then racing…. Man!!!! What else would a fan want in a single video. Thank you for doing what y’all do and never stop!!

    • Cool deal, but if you're a man, don't refer to yourself as a fan. It's feminine and not of God. And teach your kids the same. We don't worship men.

    • I agree with these guys! It also brought back memories when I played baseball and going to batting cages like that to get used to fast pitches again. Worked my way up the 100 cage. Thankfully, nobody could throw that fast, but it was fun to go back and forth to get timing back. Lol this was such an awesome video good luck topping it!!

Heartfelt congratulations on your success and keeping the faith!

  • Watched many hunting videos the past couple years, and subscribe to only a few channels (Seek One being one of them), but this is the first comment I've ever bothered to leave on KZhead. This is one of my favorites, not because of the incredible buck and great story telling, but because of the messages. Encouraging people to get outdoors for the memories, not trophies, is what I've come to realize after decades of hunting. But more importantly, like many, I've experienced a couple very low points in life where all seems lost. During those times I've looked up for help, and God listened. Don't forget to look to the sky when you need help!

  • Shot a 8 point probably 95” Tuesday night, biggest deer I’ve ever seen in person after 10 years of hunting. Heart was racing and was one of the happiest moments of my life. All this to say you’re 100% right, it isn’t about the size of the rack, it’s the memories and what it means to you.

  • Man that one part where you got deep about how hard your life is rn and this year really shows us the views and hunters that were not alone that us hunters go to the woods just to talk to god. I know I do it and now I know you do it and I’m well beyond positive others do it too. By far the best video I’ve seen yet on a hunting show. Congrats man keep it up for us. I needed this.

  • Lee I lost my mom years ago and she knew how much deer hunting meant to me. I found myself sitting in a stand one evening and I just started praying and talking to my mom. I asked if she was watching to send the deer I have been hunting as it would be one of my biggest. Not a few minutes passed and out he stepped. He stood like a statue posing as if my mom put him there. That was the only time I have ever prayed like that until this season. I was sitting in that exact stand with my daughter and that kid meant more to my mother than I think I did. We both talked to my mom and asked if she was watching to send out a buck for my daughter. Once again it happened. Some say it is coeincidence but this place I hunt isn’t a suburb and deer are pressured a lot and hard to come by. I Beleive with all I have that my mother and the lord all mighty played a hand in those 2 deer.

  • Lee I'm glad you delivered that great message on that it doesn't matter the size of the deer that matters and that it's more about the memories you create. I preach this to my children all the time. If a certain deer gets you excited and pumped up whether it be a doe or a buck then harvest it, if the animal gives you the opportunity. I've lived by that motto my whole hunting career and I started at age 8 and I'll be 34 years old next month. I absolutely love what all of you do and I enjoy the messages that you all give out. The big bucks are just the bonus to it all.

  • I just picked up a bow after 35 years; yes, 35 years. My college roommates introduced me to hunting and dragged me out in the woods when I was 22. Only went once but for some strange reason, had the urge to go down to my local shop the other day and take a look. 2 days later I’m slinging carbon at a cube and never felt so in tune with my Creator and the outdoors. Therapeutic to say the least. My life’s been a freaking train wreck the last 3 years due to divorce and life in general, however, the call of getting in a tree is strong and I’m looking forward to the first morning I gear up to head out. Thanks for sharing your life on your channel. Powerful message as I can relate 100%. Keep it up. Your work touches people.

  • This is my second comment on this video. My first was talking about you getting emotional right after you shot a deer and now this one I want to talk about your comments on the end of the video talking about if it gets you excited then be happy with it because it doesn’t have to be a monster. It’s all about getting out in nature and the thrill of the hunt and I feel like you normally do a pretty good job of getting that message across. • Love all the different messages you conveyed in this video as well as the epic hunt! I love the message about not putting to much pressure on shooting a monster buck and that you understand that the odds of doing that for most are low. I am only lucky enough to hunt a couple weeks of the year and last year I shot my biggest buck which was a young 8 and this year I shot my second biggest which was a young 6. But I got to do it with my dad and they were both thrilling to me even if they weren’t monsters and the best part was getting to do it with my dad by my side and enjoying the special moments with him.

  • I'm after a huge buck as well, at least, and probably over a ten point buck I saw once during Archery season before I could pursue him and I haven't seen him since. Y'all always seem to get great non-typical deer and it's the mysterious, fae like, nearly supernatural quality of those deer that I find fascinating to look at. Edit: after seeing this deer go down, you have to give that deer every admiration for how long he stayed on his feet with that amount of blood coming out of him, less than half that amount would make a lesser human pass out from blood loss.

  • I appreciate your openness about your relationship with the Lord. I'm 68 years old and have lived a bit of life. You're right; don't lose focus of what's most important... God, then your wife and your children if you are so blessed. One of the most awesome deer I've seen. Congratulations, great hunt! Are you going to mount him? Thank you for sharing this with us.
