  • This reminds of a chapter I had learned in English textbook . It's about a man who moved to London from Germany and was one of the best boot makers in London but never believed in advertising and because of that his customers became less and less every year and he aged really fast and he got less money and that money he mostly spent on the best leather and rent

    • And that was without the issue of having to also compete with 'fast fashion' (where designs can be reproduced cheaply in factories by people barely paid for their work). Yes, the quality obviously can't compare to that of handmade artisans, but it is obviously hurting their businesses terribly. This short did a great job representing that side.

  • 1. This shortfilm is about real life and consumerism. The large transnational brands with there striking ads and discounts can make you buy there low quality products. 2. This excellent shoemaker lost his faith and started making low quality and striking shoe to get client. 3. The man in black knows the value of the shoemaker products and wants to buy it, his name is Ripout Ventout, which mean in french, corrupt (ripou) and sells everything (vend tout ). And at 2:24 you can see the number 666, the number of the devil, which suggests that is a liar and doesn't have a heart and only cares about money.

Я не особо знаю англиский язык..... но этот мультик я могу понять без особых затруднений)))) translation specially for those who have no idea what is written above :) These short films are so interesting that I can’t stop watching them. So many different cartoons and everything is full of meaning. I do not know English very well ..... but I can understand this cartoon without much difficulty))))
