In the past, young BI saw the young Hayi getting rained on and with a bleeding nose. He came to her and gave her a rose lollipop and a handkerchief, but he never offered his umbrella to her. He turned his back on her and left her soaked in the rain. This portrays how young love can give you pain as much as it makes u happy. Young BI wanted to do something to make her feel better but he wasn't willing to share her pain yet. When you're young and in love, there are still things you can't do for the one that you love, there are still responsibilities you're not ready to take, and commitments you're not ready to commit to. Young love scares you so you tend to run away before you can even do something about it, taking your regrets and leaving the one you love in the rain. In the video, the development of their characters were evident. BI no longer left Hayi soaked and in pain, he wiped Hayi's blood himself, gave her the lollipop and this time too, he gave his umbrella to her, he let himself get soaked, and even smeared his own nose with blood. He was no longer the same kid as before. Their love matured. Their love grew. He was willing to bare the pain of the girl he loves.

Leehi's nosebleed serves as her worries, flaws, and insecurities, and hanbin smearing it on his philtrum means he is willing to stay and share the burden leehi has been carrying. Man, leehi and hanbin sure are best of friends, you can clearly see it from their beautiful songs, the lyrics, and the message, it all hits different if it's leehi and hanbin collab. Savior is literally BIHI’s story. Hanbin and Hayi has known each other since 2014, when they were both 18. Two teenagers who struggled so much to achieve their dreams. Hanbin was most probably there during Hayi first few debut years when she suffered from all the fatshaming and cyberbullying on her stoic expressions back then. When Hanbin was struggling with all the survival shows that YG threw at him predebut, Hayi was there, held faith and performed a hiphop Let It Go together. When Hayi struggled with YG’s lack of activities for her, I believe BI was there with her - therefore No One was released. Now that BI struggles with his past mistake, Hayi was there with BI for Daydream and Savior. I believe this is a song about soulmates. BIHI are soulmates who held on to each other in their turbulent industry. And I want all the happiness and safety for them both.

My theory for the MV is that actually Hayi died when she was younger, probably through a brain aneurysm ( which would explain the constant nosebleed) and the scene where Hanbin gave her a rose lollipop is more him standing at her grave and leaving while crying. This would also explain why we don't see an inbetween of their relationship. Now Hayi's a lost soul or angel ( white dress, symbolism of the church), praying and waiting for them to be reconnected again. The long table between them still separates them, at the end maybe Hanbin also died, crossing the path towards her and imitating the nosebleed. Now they're finally reunited. Edit: Typo

First scene, Hayi knew BI arrived at the church (afterlife) so she came looking for him. Notice how she’s looking around the empty church. She then prays. BI then walks in, and gives Hayi his “love” just like when they were young. She smiled when she saw him. (1:00) Looking at their expressions, it feels like they are meeting again after a long time. It then showed their younger selves. My theory is that, BI broke Hayi’s heart in the past. Hayi’s prayed for BI to never leave her side, but he did. “Will you able to stay by my side as long as I wish you to?” Maybe when she told him that she’s going to die because of her illness, he left. Because he couldn’t bear the pain of seeing her health deteriorate. After all, he was just a kid. It was too much for him and walking away was the only thing he could do back then (2:40) “That you are the savior that has come to ruin me” Then they met again in the afterlife. And this time he promised her that he will never leave her side. (1:34) Hayi still remembers the moment when he left her. And BI is just there standing by her side, assuring her he’s never leaving again. (1:54) In the scene where they’re having a meal, it’s evident that BI’s doing his best to make it up to her. Hayi still remembers the pain, she still feels the raindrops falling on her head when she looks at him. (2:17) BI stands up and wipes Hayi’s pain (raindrops) that was something he wasn’t able to do in the past when they parted. Notice that BI always gives her both the lollipop & handkerchief. But when they parted, he only gave Hayi the lollipop in the rain, (1:25) symbolizing that he still loves her but he can no longer be there for her. Then present BI not only gave her the lollipop but also wipes the raindrops with the handkerchief. (2:42) BI cries because he regrets what he has done in the past. And he knows she’s still healing from the pain he caused her, and that hurts him the most. The rap part is his love letter to her. He’s repenting and assuring her that it’s gonna be different now because they are together. Followed by (3:35) BI smearing blood on his nose symbolizes that he’s now ready to take care of her, to make her happy and stay by her side just like she’s always wished for. (3:47) The last scene, they are looking at their younger selves reminiscing the memories they shared. They’re both healing from the past, together. Forever.

That line "your the savior that has come to ruin me" because since young he's always been there for her to protect her and make her feel better even in moments he too was sad he's still there. He's always by her side when she needs him and does everything for her but somehow that "ruins" her because she fell inlove with him, without saying it loud/addmiting it or confessing her feelings thus the line "you already have a piece of my heart which I never given to you". She also grow very dependent on him but they're grown up now and anything can happened even if he wants to always stay by her side they both know he can't always be there. So He's letting her proctect herself on her own, instead of holding the umbrella for her he assures her it's ok she can do it herself too. Istead of wiping away the nosebleed just like he used too, he made her laugh over it like it's no big deal, it's a part of her. "It's easier to believe in eternity" but nothing last forever so be happy until then I guess? I LOVE this song and how the MV got us all thinking

When the MV started with Hayi holding the umbrella alone and ending it with them together under one umbrella only shows the loyalty and support they have for each other through the years. The fact that Hayi chose Hanbin for this song, MV's storyline, and lyrics is a clear message that no matter what, she will always be there for him. Call it friendship or love but this is one of the most beautiful relationship we have in the industry. This MV is so well thought from beginning to end! The time that we waited as Hayi's fans really paid off with this album! What an art!

Hanbin wrote this whole song. I believe he wrote it specifically for Hayi. The most touching thing is the way Hayi kept Hanbin’s song as her new album’s title track, released the full MV showing a ton of Hanbin and kept his verse despite everything. Releasing the song and MV is nothing because the investment has been made and it will definitely be released. But the way Hayi conscientiously, purposely kept Savior as her title and kept ALL of BI’s parts is truly brave, precious and loyal of her.

Hanbin wrote Lee Hi’s 1,2 but did not feature in that, Hanbin was in No One but his voice was complete cut away towards the end of promotions) Title songs are the songs that will be promoted and have some sort of priority / most focus than the other non-title songs. Considering title songs are so important, usually agencies will not feature those who are facing controversial issues / they will change title songs / cut screen time to almost unseenable. (For example, (G)-IDLE’s previous comeback title Last Dance was re-recorded and had zero promotions). AOMG always gives their artistes the decision-making rights therefore my comment stating that Hayi was so loyal to keep Savior as the title despite the circumstances.

they are not idols, they are artists. this isn’t a music video, this is a masterpiece. the message and the delivery of both the lyrics and the video, it’s all what they mean to each other. they only gave us a glimpse of their world but it’s so powerful that you can create different interpretations from a 4 minute story telling. God, I wish I can kiss their minds, they are so brilliant.

@@rinzietop to me there's a difference between artists and idols. idols have a burning passion for singing rapping and dancing with the song they perform, sometimes they do make their own music too but the way I see it sometimes they try to please their fans more. artists on the other hand create the music they perform, do you know either Lee Hi or B.I? do you know that B.I is under trial yet Lee Hi came out with a song with him? do you think it'll be good for her image in SK (a country who judges idols so heavy on such petty things) to be seen with him like this? she risked receiving hate but in my point of view she didn't care about it, she very much wanted to share her music more than she cared about other's opinion. therefore from my perspective, artists create music for themselves and they just share it with us.

The way this song is promoting while Hanbin is facing another trial just show how deeper their relationship is - either being friend or more than that, let themselves know. They both went through so much together in past, at some point they need to walk their own paths (like BI left YG before her and she need to promote by herself). And now, BI is back and promised to be there and not left her anymore.I am very sure during his hiatus, Lee Hi is one of the people who been with him. We all know its been a long time they're being a friend. Whatever it is, I just really hope, please no more sad scenes in their lives, and if something happens, they are saviours to each other.

I think this is more of a message from Hanbin to Hayi since he wrote the entire lyrics and wanted Hayi to sing this of all the songs. And honestly Hayi gave life to this song, no one else is a better fit for this. God bless their friendship. It makes me happy knowing that these two have people like each other they can turn to. I LITERALLY CAN STOP MY TEARS WHEN SEEING THIS. Its really beautiful and so touching. The mv, the song, the lyrics, especially Hanbin and LeeHi's friendship, they always being there for each others through ups and downs since their trainee days.
In films Nosebleed stood as a symbol for human failure, as a sign of the loser, the suffering. I agree on other comments that this was about young love. B.I. as a child wasn’t ready to be a part of LeeHi’s suffering so he ended up giving red rose CANDY. meaning the Love that he gave in the past was child-like and symbolizes innocence. And he never gave that umbrella because he wasn’t ready to share the same pain as hers. EDIT: Lastly I want to point out in the 0:50 part where B.I. handed the candy with a handkerchief in his adult self symbolizing “The will to live in a Relationship” in spiritual meanings. I guess being an adult made him realize he can now fully commit with Hayi. Finally 🥺 you see how he gave the umbrella and mimicking LeeHi’s nosebleed. This song was inspired by the movie "The Handmaiden". The original line from the movie was "My savior who came to ruin my life. My Tamako. My Sook-hee." B.I getting all these inspiration for his songs from movie lines, to poetry and even while waiting to board on a plane just shows how much musicality there is to him and that's just touching the surface. I feel like this song was intentionally written for Lee Hi because it complimented and highlighted her vocal colors. Looking forward to many more collabs between these two.
