Original Jamaican Bobsledder Tells Us What Really Happened in ‘Cool Runnings’

Devon Harris was one of the founding members of the Jamaican bobsled team that rose to fame in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. The former member of the Jamaican military and his teammates became popular favorites with their unlikely quest for Olympic gold. Their story was dramatized in the 1993 movie ‘Cool Runnings.’ Harris told InsideEdition.com that the movie got some things right, while other aspects were pure fiction. #InsideEdition

I went to see this movie when it came out, love it. I read an article which said that a school around New York was going to show this movie to their students, but at the last minute decided not to show it, because in their eyes it was RACIST!!! Can you believe that!!

That ending in cool running’s makes me cry everytime. Just a beautiful moment in cinema . Saw it when it came out in 93 I was a kid and my mom and I cried and still do I know it’s all Hollywood though
