  • I’m petrified of snakes but find your content compelling

  • I used to help a friend catch tiger snakes to send to the serum labs. I was permanently terrified. Good job dude.

    • Interesting we don't keep them semi enclosed so they can't be MILKED as their venom replenishes.

  • Great work! It certainly looks dangerous particularly when you pick up the snakes by the tail with bare hands. Could a catcher possibly wear protective gloves and clothing just in case he is bitten?

    • Nope. Can't feel the snake properly or maneuver hands quickly enough with gloves that are capable of stopping fangs. It would be a bit like trying to play the piano wearing welding gloves. There are gloves out there, but mostly used for when putting your hand/arm into an enclosure past a snake, but not actually picking it up.

    • @@Ro-dent Would be a great invention to have a sensitive glove that could repel a bite!

    • @@oxideclayart4753 it would, but I'm not sure there's anything in existence as yet. A lot of the gloves on the market use the same materials used in bullet proof vests. There was a guy here on YT that did a video testing gloves getting his many different snakes to bite them, and some of the gloves failed. So its not worth the risk.

  • Interesting. Do you take a preventative dose of the anti-venom? Have you ever been bitten?

    @timothyshortnacy7550@timothyshortnacy7550 Жыл бұрын
    • There is no preventative anti venom. It is specific to the type of snake. Injecting the wrong anti venom can be deadly in itself.

  • Why does the snake need a microchip if it is native to our country? Serious question. ?

    @fucarkle@fucarkle Жыл бұрын
    • Just like with a dog or cat, so if it gets out and recaptured they know where it came from. So they also know what venom came from what snake when making the anti venom.

    • @@Ro-dent isn’t it proven that majority or reptiles after being microchipped don’t live full lives?
