FYI, If your cat is using their paw to scoop the food out of the bowl, get them a flat plate. Their whiskers are very sensitive.

mine does something similar but with water. We changed 4 bowls and I got one that is flat, but she still puts her paw in it and drags it all over the floor, splashing water everywhere. With milk she doesn't do this, tho. Idk what to do with her

Sometimes cats have fleas/ticks, and for long haired cats they have to shave them down so they can locate a tick/have no areas for fleas to thrive.

@@bindead I disagree. Cats will "relearn" the same mistake over and over because cats are naturally curious and that isn't a wild cat. I'm so sick of people talking about domestic animals like they are wild and comparing wild animals to domestic. Not to mention cats have been domesticated for a really long time, they're naturally curious creatures there is a 3 in 5 chance of this cat seeing another lobster and doing the same exact thing 2 out of 5 the cat will remember I've tangoed with you before and I didn't like the outcome. I think humans who WAIT and watch for their animals eminent infliction are shitty.. its our job as pet owners to protect our animals and I don't think this person was trying protecting its animal by letting it learn its lesson I think she was genuinely just waiting for it to get pinched for content. Those little pinchers f****** hurt and cats are way more dainty, if it were a larger pinchy creature it could have resulted in (I'd say a vet bill but sith this cats owner I sadly doubt it) long term damage. Most people don't even buy dog food the eat table scraps. We are leaning towards a world of softness because we over protect. No one gets hurt everyone wins and no one is wrong. I'm tired of a world that is so soft we give participation trophies to people because we don't want them to feel bad about something. Go back 100 years and find a dog with anxiety or ask a family if they would pay 2000 dollars for temperament shots for a dog so they don't behave like a dog. It's an animal period. That cat you see as my profile picture was my best friend in the whole world Tony the tiger he died because my neighbor shot him because he was protecting his dog and home. He was afraid my cat would have hurt him so he shot him as soon as he walked into his yard. I'm sorry if I upset you I really am. I get angry when people suger coat the world and try to make all the edges soft. This is a world I'm afraid of living in because of it. Kids should smell like dirt and cookies and have scrapped knees it's what makes them stronger. Same with animals watching a dog sleep 15 hours a day in a plushie bed with an auto feeder and 4 supplement pills a day because it doesn't go outside and needs doggie daycare and anxiety therapy is to much. People see a cat get pinched on the nose because it's curious and finds out not to do that and call the owner a monster because they laughed is crazy. If the cat started screaming bloody murder and the thing didn't let go and the person kept laughing then yes that's probably a psychopath. Can we not just have a laugh at a small thing with our calling the PC police. Or commenting how terrible the people on this planet are.

@@bindead I disagree. Cats will "relearn" the same mistake over and over because cats are naturally curious and that isn't a wild cat. I'm so sick of people talking about domestic animals like they are wild and comparing wild animals to domestic. Not to mention cats have been domesticated for a really long time, they're naturally curious creatures there is a 3 in 5 chance of this cat seeing another lobster and doing the same exact thing 2 out of 5 the cat will remember I've tangoed with you before and I didn't like the outcome. I think humans who WAIT and watch for their animals eminent infliction are shitty.. its our job as pet owners to protect our animals and I don't think this person was trying protecting its animal by letting it learn its lesson I think she was genuinely just waiting for it to get pinched for content. Most people don't even buy dog food the eat table scraps. We are leaning towards a world of softness because we over protect. No one gets hurt everyone wins and no one is wrong. I'm tired of a world that is so soft we give participation trophies to people because we don't want them to feel bad about something. Go back 100 years and find a dog with anxiety or ask a family if they would pay 2000 dollars for temperament shots for a dog so they don't behave like a dog. It's an animal period. That cat you see as my profile picture was my best friend in the whole world Tony the tiger he died because my neighbor shot him because he was protecting his dog and home. He was afraid my cat would have hurt him so he shot him as soon as he walked into his yard. I'm sorry if I upset you I really am. I get angry when people suger coat the world and try to make all the edges soft. This is a world I'm afraid of living in because of it. Kids should smell like dirt and cookies and have scrapped knees it's what makes them stronger. Same with animals watching a dog sleep 15 hours a day in a plushie bed with an auto feeder and 4 supplement pills a day because it doesn't go outside and needs doggie daycare and anxiety therapy is to much. People see a cat get pinched on the nose because it's curious and finds out not to do that and call the owner a monster because they laughed is crazy. If the cat started screaming bloody murder and the thing didn't let go and the person kept laughing then yes that's probably a psychopath. Can we not just have a laugh at a small thing with our calling the PC police. Or commenting how terrible the people on this planet are.
