That is what's called a wringer washing machine. I was born in 85 and we had one up until the mid 90s. I wonder if this place has a shared driveway, with the house next door, that's why the carport is where it is, maybe. At least the lock was on the inside of the master bedroom door, lol
Yes, lock on inside. My mother was afraid of break-ins so she put a lock on inside of her room. In our old house, which was built in around 1920, there were key locks in all the rooms. If you wanted privacy you got it.
I believe a Florida room is also referred to as a sun room. They're usually very beautiful with a lot of windows and a garden view (in a perfect world, that is). 🌞

And yes, that was an old wringer washing machine! My mother had one when we were children. When the clothes were done washing, she'd run them through the wringer to remove excess water, then hang the clothes out to dry. I had a pink toy vwwrsion when I was in Kindergarten! 🤣

Good deal Jon and Rhianna for only $10,000.. The home definitely has a lot of potential. Looks like the owner lived in it for a long time. Everything looks 70's. That old, very first washing machine, in the basement is a collector's piece. My Grandma had one just like it, gathering dust in her basement, many years ago. Keep us updated on what you finally decide to do with the house. Some cleaning up and repairs could turn it into a rental. Some updates could turn it into an Airbnb. At least it's not a hoarders house, so you don't have to get rid of mountains of trash. So glad you're posting some more videos on this channel. Really enjoyed your channel with the before and after videos. Glad you're doing better Jon.

They call it a Lanai
I was thinking sunroom too. They have them usually upstairs in some of the older homes built in early 1900's or before. Used them to help sick people get better because sun and vitamin C are good for you.

given the comps in the area I wonder if its feasible to have open concept from front to kitchen. So many walls make it seem like mini prison cells especially with hardly any light coming through. Is it possible to make a front lane drive way with front walk up? The cover port would make a great outdoor living space if a front drive was added.

@@andreblechynden4578 Here are some tips that helped me. 1. Plan towards it 2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buywhy you don't need ) 3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k) 4. Build an emergency fund 5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

Honestly, this house isn’t bad for 10k. My parents have a “ Florida room “ now 😂 I’m not a fan of wallpaper because it’s a pain to remove... Geesh 😥
I believe there are some do-it-yourself tutorials here on KZhead that make wallpaper removal faster.

Jon, you pointed out that the hillside was pushing down on the retainer wall. There is no way to fix this, how are you going to sell this property? Maybe the reason it sold for this cheap.

Most likely not. If there is, it's going to be literally in the middle of nowhere. You definitely can not find out anywhere near a major city, so forget about Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, even Winnipeg is out of your reach.
