There's a valve where your esophagus attaches to the stomach that keeps stomach acid from leaving your stomach most of the time. The big difference for digestion is that when you burp in space, gravity doesn't keep the food at the bottom of your stomach, so burps can be a little wetter than you're accustomed to on earth.

As a comment from quarantine time, I am going down a loophole for Chris Hadfield for 2 hours.
I didn’t realize it until he took a bite, but apparently I was so amazed by a space burrito that my jaw had dropped wide open while he was making it. I wasn’t amazed by the launch, we’ve seen many launches. I wasn’t amazed by spacewalks, it’s part of the job. But watching someone make a burrito in space blew my mind.

@@Nateisabotzero g simulations. They practice in mile deep pools. Then they jump on a plane that flies up, then starts a free fall. Commercially available experience for those who want to try. Lots of cuts in the video, small compartment the size of those planes they use for the zero g simulation

Sean Guan The hot sauce they bring into orbit is for each individual alone... They're not allowed to share any foods or utensils to prevent any sicknesses from spreading. Also, it's not on the normal food menu, they automatically bring mayo, mustard, and ketchup. If an astronaut wants a particular hot sauce, they ask for it, and then the company that makes the particular sauce is contacted and asked if they will allow for the specific packaging required. Most hot sauces come in glass which is not allowed in space, also many companies package their food with certain chemicals to preserve the product, and those chemicals also can't have any chance of being released into the space station. So as long as the specific company can make the specific packaging required, each astronaut can bring their own favorite sauce with them. But not to share with others.

There is significantly more blood flowing around his head in space than there would be on Earth, due to his weightlessness and gravity not pulling it all downward. Because of this, he looks a little more red in the face and the veins near his head look a bit larger than they normally would be.
That's because in micro gravity all of the fluid in your body redistributes giving that puffed up strained appearance
